oh my god that mirror! it's not totally my style, but it's so crazy how you made that basically for free. that's awesome. p.s. ana luisa if you're reading this, please please please make white gold/silver jewelry. please. i'm begging.
I tried putting clay maché on exposed cardboard edges. That did not turn out well. The outer layer of carboard delaminated. Definitely seal edges. In fact, you might do well to seal the entire surface before putting wet clay on it.
Girl you just get better ea/time! I love how you still get excited with ea/project. It makes it fun to work alongside you. Thanks for this, especially the mirror! I'm a fan of amorphous blobs, lol
i love paper mache and have been so so excited to play with it more! Curious tho- what are your thoughts on using a plaster mixture instead of the paper mache? 👀
Is it just me or is the quality of this video impeccable?👌🏽What a beautiful mirror for "free!" Entryway would be perfect for the mirror because that way you and others can enjoy its beauty all the time 😌The lamp is gorgeous and the stone texture is my fave. Well done, Tina! 👏🏽
Oh my gosh! The mirror is gorgeous! I looovvveeeee it! 😍😍😍😍 you are so creative! This video might be the best parent of my day!😆 also thanks to you I got my mom a Ana Luisa necklace for Christmas!
Paper machete is the perfect material! It’s light and it can be molded! Good job! Also I got Ana Luisa for my sister for Christmas and a pair for myself😆
Can you possibly try the Anthropologie Selena Lamp Shade? I think it would prob be easy to recreate and be able to also customize- for less than $98+ 😁
Ok this was like the perfect decor dupe diy for me haha 😍 I redid our powder room in August and have the EXACT same builder grade mirror that we took off and replaced with a gorgeous brass one. I’ve kept the old one not knowing how to upgrade it so this is literally what I needed to get inspo! Thanks Tina for always sharing ur amazing ideas 🙌🏼
Have you seen (LoneFox/ XO Mackenna) rub dirt on their cement/baking soda paint projects? 🤣 I was a bit skeptical- cause, you know, mud - but it adds a lot of depth and texture with the colour and whatnot 😅
I think it would be really nice if you'd be able to add some caulk to the inside, where the mirror meets the frame. Just to finish it off a tiny bit more.
Both came out great ❣ And thanks! I have a thrifed framed mirror that I would like to "beef up" the frame, it's too thin for the look I wanted, now I have a plan 😀
Wow Tina these came out awesome I really love the texture on the lamp and the rub & buff really finished it off and tied it altogether fantasticly well done on the mirror shape you nailed this !! 👏 thank you for sharing your amazing creativity with us all Tina, happy Christmas 🎄 God bless you in all things and much love from me too! 🙏 ♥️🥰😘🤗
I definitely would put the mirror in a space where you walk into your house like the entryway. I think it is such a great statement piece that everyone needs to see it when they walk through the door. Good luck Tina I don’t have the patience for anything like that! Lol
You’ve really helped inspire me to try making my own diy channel!!❤️❤️ I’m saving up for a camera and mic, then I’m going to start it up. I can’t wait to try out one of your diys in a video to show you 💕✨
That lamp looked awesome. I want to do this!! But I’ll paint it black and use diluted white paint wash and dab on like the high end. Did NOT know you could use clear mod Podge and sprinkle cement, this is life changing. Thanks for sharing! (That mirror was cool too)
I always love everything you do Tina! Quick question...was wondering the benefits of doing this cement technique over mixing up the quick cement technique? What is your preference?
This is exactly what I was looking for! I m wondering if I could do this irregular shape with a rectangular mirror and hide the edges. What do you think?
