You might have been better looking for an old hand crank Sheller at an estate sale and take the crank off and install pulleys and motor. The green pulley needs to be bigger so it don’t turn as fast and throw corn everywhere
Yeah I’ve been actually looking for one of the old hand crank ones.....yes I want to change pulley size I’ll have to make something with my lathe to thread on the shaft the put a pulley on
Real men don't need no instructions. 😁😆😅🤣 Looked like it shelled the ears pretty clean, you just need "Flack Gear" to operate it. 😁😆😅🤣 Looking forward to seeing what you & Dad Strength to modify it. 👍🏻👍🏻 I'm a little surprised that you guys haven't found an old antique corn sheller at a farm auction to use. Thanks for sharing.
Started off pretty funney ..it reminded me of a cartoon .like the road runner .the coyote puts together a machine to catch the road runner and ya turn machine on and boom it comes apart like yours did lol .it just made me laugh and I said oh no lol anyways thx for the laugh this morning ..godbless and stay safe
Greatest quote of the whole deal - "I told you it was a Gleaner, cobs going in the hopper...." I'm still laughing and I don't have anything against Gleaner at all.
Interesting 'axial flow' corn sheller! I was hoping it would work better - something just a bit bigger than the hand sheller should handle the corn better. But this one has the potential to be able to feed more than 1 ear at a time - after you figure out how to redesign the feed to keep the ears lengthwise! It should be able to separate the cobs from kernels if you design all the surrounding material flow control.
