As a point of fact, much of the tar on the beach in Southern California comes from oil seeps, which are natural releases of oil and gas from the ocean floor. While some of it comes from oil spills, the majority of it is from seeps.

if you just covered the whole thing in duct tape the outside AND inside, it would have been waterproof. If you added a layer of saran wrap too you basically got an indestructible submarine (i loved this video smm !!!)

Hey Ben, a freshman that took engineering classes in middle school here 👍, so for the past three years I had to build a boat out of nothing but recycling items so what I’ve learned it that if you covered a piece of cardboard with like 3 coats of duct tape it will become water proof, so this experiment you were doing, it could have been successful if you had made the submarine water proof and maybe anchored to land so you wouldn’t be washed to sea 👍
