Hi Alexandra, I’ve been IG friends with your dad for years so in a small way I’ve watched you grow up. You’ve inspired me (at 50) to take up sewing and I love watching all of your content. My question is this, how do you create patterns for someone who’s a different size than your mannequin? Maybe you could make a video showing how we can measure our own bodies and then create our own patterns? Anyways, thanks for sharing all of your beautiful creations with us 🤍

In the case that the person is average Height 5"8 or taller in some occasions don't matter the size But if short and Overweight. Don't expect such Miracles and I can't understand why people are not. REALISTIC.

You can use tape and a t-shirt to get form and fill it. If you have a mannequin add low loft batting (or anything better) with tape and try to match your measurements.

Your fabric might be an upholstery fabric. You could have tried a prewash to see if it would have soften

All cotton fabric and some blends, should be prewashed so it can shrink before you cut it. Also, watch out for red fabrics. They often bleed. I usually soak reds in a bucket so I can keep filling filling with water until the water is clear.

I’m currently in the process of making a similar style dress with an overskirt and lining. Could you do a video showing how you attached the skirt to the bodice?
