You know , I was born in Cuba , I used to listen all this hits that you play In your envents . that brings me back to my young days . Now I’m 52 and I live in France But my memory is still in English music , Thanks a lot for Sharing all the things that you do
100% appreciate you sharing your build to inspire and give us ideas... I like a good bit of the things you did... There are a couple I personally wouldn't have done (The stock legs) but The biggest thing is that it works for you and that's what's most important ✊🏾
Yo bro that's nice as hell!! Very inexpensive very clean elegant and the other DJ consoles are so overpriced yo keep doing what you doing man I'm about to make me one of those myself love the look very professional been looking at the other control consoles too expensive outrageous not to knock them but yeah you gave me the blueprint to a new look appreciate that man
Bro I have to tell you you are a genius and you are so inspirational thank you for all your videos that you constantly put out.. they are absolutely awesome
Just an update - this furniture is now about $100 with that finish, but you can get this style from Walmart for like $60. White, wood, or black. One day shipping. I've got one coming to see if I can make it work before investing into something like the Maxx. I love those designs, but I'm way too DIY to do that first without trying my own. Weight seems pretty light on these, too, and it all fits into one bag vs a large hardshell case. In and out for under $300. Can't beat that. Not even my SKB old school console bases are that cheap. I think the base for this is going to be the biggest challenge. I'm thinking about using basic MDF pieces with a hinge on each side. Off-season project for sure.
@@lavishlifedjs Will do! It's sitting in the corner right now waiting for me. Unfortunately, I have to put together a tour rack with 20 wireless units for a local theatre company first. So that's my night. Lol. Also, I totally already had one of those Gator bags, but there was another one on Amazon (used) for $144...so I grabbed that one. :-)
I love the set up. I'm in the process of doing something similar. I was wondering if you had a link to the XLR Adapter? Thanks again for the information.
Thanks. I like changing my looks. The podium was fine but I thought that was a very common look and I kind of wanted something different but nothing wrong with that option…I’m looking to change the legs every so often
Very Nice my brother. My only question is how do manage if you're 6'1" like me? I checked out this table on Amazon & it's only 30.7" high. I need another 9"-10". Any suggestions?
Thanks. I’m the same height as you…I couldn’t use the legs that came with the table…I use a Rockville totem or the odyssey folding stand which are plenty high
I don't understand why you'd run it to external mixer in mono unless you're only using 1 speaker. Even if you use a splitter for 2 speakers you're still playing 2 mono signals. Music is produced in Stereo. Certain elements of a song are panned from left to right. The only thing that isn't panned is Bass. If you play it in mono then you're not listening to it the way that the producers & engineers intended it to be heard. If anyone thinks it doesn't make a difference then you're dead wrong.
90% of the clubs worldwide and 100% of festivals are rigged in mono. The stereo experience only works home or in your headphones. Not in massive venues
Thanks bro🙏🏾 Just checked out your channel, you doing numbers ! Here is an updated look at the booth ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e9Vj98ICSrE.html
Yes it is…you can put any 35mm pole in there I just modified it and place an M20 thread sub pole so that I can take advantage of locking it in then used these On-Stage M20 Subwoofer Adapter, Black (SSA21) a.co/d/5HAEXVQ www.idjnow.com/headliner-hl31001-plate.html
I'm thinking of doing this with the totem instead of the legs that you have. Was it sturdy when you used the totem? How did you attach the desk to the totem?
It felt sturdy to me. I attached the table with the center screw on the totem (some say that might not be enough though)….also it’s very high so unless your tall it might not work so well
@@lavishlifedjs Thanks for your reply. I have my answer. it is MDF. You show it later in your video. I am shoping for APELabs puck led (Coins) but they are rare and not cheap! The soundswitch pgm is built in the Rane controller or runs on your laptop?
@@martinderome1142 o ok….ape labs are expensive but so worth it The rane one does not come with soundswitch. I had to buy a dongle. I also have the control one as well
Hi DJ Peck would device or tool did you use to cut out the square for your DJ and controller. (I'm not very handy so it might seem like a crazy question to ask).
Not a crazy question. Don’t worry I don’t consider myself handy either…I’m just a “Do’er” Here are 2 options: (1) I used a a fine saw I bought from Home Depot that inserts in to my power drill…You have to start out with some circular pilot holes on the 4 corners of the the rectangle then connect them with the saw. (2) Use a marker to measure the controller and go to Home Depot/Lowe’s and ask them to cut it out for you Hope that helps
Have you ever had a bride or groom care about your table that a reception site provides? I never have and I do 150-200 events myself annually. I don't understand people recreating the wheel. You must not work at places that have no elevators only stairs. My back hurts just thinking about moving your setup up some stairs. Lot of work, money, and time you spent to create your setup. Hope it pays off.
Thank you for the comment. I appreciate your take on this. Mobility is definitely something to and have been considered. This booth weigh less than 40lbs and is pre-wired. So as heavy as this looks, it’s not. It is actually lighter than my controller case. Also If you watch my previous gig logs you will see how fast this is to set up. I literally just have to plug in the power and XLRs. This is not for everybody. If you’re doing 200 events annually without doing what I’m doing, great. Do you. With that stated, every single event I do I get compliments from the couple and guests about how great, unique and professional my set up looks and yes get referral and book gigs as a result. I do what I do because I enjoy it and for me it does make a difference.
@@ozarkmixdj I do dj events, mirror photobooths, uplighting, tv/projectors rentals, cafe lighting, and other decor for corporate and wedding events. So yes, I do the 200 events annually. And still think bringing a table to a place that gives you a free table is kinda dumb. To each his or her own.
@@dwitthoft I get it. Then say that. You imply that it’s all DJ, honestly. My biggest point is just because you don’t want to put in the work of carrying something might be heavy, or better yet, better, then go ahead and do you. There is no reason to be negative about my guys set up. If you think a 6 foot fold out table that the venue provides is good looking then our clients will never be the same. We are worlds apart.
