Thank you for all your hard work for SPFBOX, Abel! I am excited to read your semifinalist and to discuss it and the other four semifinalists with our group in October!
What a beautiful way to express the work to choose your SPFBOX semi-finalist. I love the care and consideration you put into everything you do. And congrats to Laura! -Palmer Pickering
Thank you Palmer. It was a difficult decision because I know full well what it means to put yourself on the line with such an important part of your job. The gears of competition are relentless, and I hope no one really comes away disappointed. But I'm also happy to have highlighted this group of authors and their novels. In the end that's what counts! Thanks for watching the video, as always 💚
Wow, thanks so much for the thoughtful review, Abel! That was really great to watch you talk about it. I appreciate everything you said. I’m also glad you didn’t drown and were rewarded in the end 😂
Thank you for watching, Calum. I survived, and I'm stronger now 🤣🤣🤣 All jokes aside, your book is really strong and I'm happy I had the chance to read It!
I have said it before and I will say it again, everyone involved in SPFBOX is absolutely blessed to have you on board as a judge. This must have been one of the most wholesome selection/cut updates I have ever seen, you more than did all the stories and authors justice! Congrats to the semi, I can't wait to read it myself 🤩 Also, I wholeheartedly agree on everything you said about Dirge, that book almost broke me hahahah. In the end I was worth it, but I think I appreciated it more on an intellectual level than on a pure enjoyment/emotional level, and I generally prefer that to be the other way around. Super good review, as always 🥰
Thank you Esmay. I really felt the pressure of the role. I tried my best and I hope all authors will end up gaining some useful insight at least, and new readers or fans in the best scenario possible ✨ Can't wait to see all the other semifinalists, and follow the rest of the competition. It's shaping to be a great year! Also, I've read your review for Cascius (it is spot on BTW) and yeah we're on the same page! So yay us who barely survived lol. But seriously, I think that's a great book, and I'm sure it will go ok to become a favourite for lovers or more cerebral and complex stories. I think Lott has a lot (see what I did there?) to tell 😂 As always, thank you for your support 💚
@@bookswithabel I hope you were still able to have fun despite the anxiety and pressure. You deserve to be proud of yourself!! And thanks for reading my review (and for the kind words!). Brilliant pun on your part, hahaha, I totally agree! 🤣🤩
Wohhhh! Excited to see where your choice fares. You really are an indie author champion. I don’t comment here usually but I have to say I appreciate your videos.
I respect other people's ratings, but I buy books because something about them attracts me, not because of ratings. I like to hear what others say, but like to make my own decisions and opinions 😊
Thank you for watching! And yeah, I totally agree with you. I like reading deep reviews because they help me have a better overview of the story, and I try to document myself as much as possible. But in the end I buy what I like 😂
Thank you for your great video and introducing these books to us. The only thing: the music was too loud and distracting! It was hard to focus on your voice over the music.
