Petition for everyone to wear the extravagant stuff we want to wear in the most ordinary of situations. I dress in fantasy clothes most days. There is an entire pre school of tiny humans near my house who are stoked with my wardrobe. I frequently get "SHE LOOKS LIKE A PRINCESS" yelled at me and it makes my life worth living 😂❤️

Who says something badass and evil looking can't be good though? I am year of the dragon 88, my favorite colors are darker reds and black. My husband tells me I have a lot of similarities to this lady. We all have a monster inside somewhere. As long as you try to be the best version of yourself moving forward just makes you a wise dragon with more patience and loyalty means everything. Basically it doesn't matter how wicked one may look or how they want to appear. "What matters is what's on the inside" tired and true line. Just because I wanna dress in darker colors a lot doesn't mean I am a devil worshiper LOL.

Eh, guess I didn't feel that way. Sorry for my complex mind. I don't really expect you or anyone else to understand, but to rather meet halfway. Also the dragons in GOT were badass and trained well until... No matter how vicious they appear they are just like a loyal dog or any other creature except with way more wisdom. I have that machine, and it kills it! I make pleather/leather corsets all the time! They make vinyl needles and feet that help too! :) Recently discovered you and love the videos!

She’s the mother of Dragon (corsets) *Sewing tip:* when working with stiff/thick fabric it’s best to flat-line your pieces rather than bag-line. Especially for corsets Flat line the pieces and then cover the seam allowance with like 1 inch tape on the inside and that will create your Boning channel

I work at JoAnn's and actually got this exact fabric last year to make a Dragon costume for Halloween that I never wore because day of I decided to be comfortable instead and went went my Harry Potter costume. Still have the corset sitting in my closet. And let me say, if they thought that you couldn't sew thru that fabric, your JoAnns doesn't know about their products. Pretty much every machine we sell can sew through at least 4 layers of denim, if not more, especially the Heavy Duty ones!

Very cool, I actually have place mats made from that scale vinyl lol. Just a tip, try lengthening your stitches when doing top stitching (4) especially on vinyl because the closer the holes are made from the needle punching through it weakens the fabric ( a trick I learned from bag making)

Okay, that patterning sequence got me hyped! That editing was some of the best editing you’ve done to date, no joke. I love this! I feel like we're actively seeing you improve your skills with making clothes in real time and I love it. For a corset idea: an ocean-themed one would be so cool! Not necessarily mermaid (though that would be lit too) but more like with fun wave details and decorated with like coral and shells and whatnot. Cant wait to see what you make next

here's some ideas cause why not -Scenery painting on a corset. lvl up them painting skills by painting mountains and meadows and flowers or whatever -Koi fish. scales, red, white and black patches, flowy fin sleeves. water droplet danglies -Rook castle corset next. time to become a tower of aged stone bricks with moss and vines -feather corset. Peacocks, ravens, whatever. Feathers. -actual fake flower corset? Like it's got the old fashioned lil flower designs in the middle, and the edges are covered in fake flowers -frog. Idk frog corset

This whole video is so relateable My grandma gave me her machine since she never really used it and when I made a corset the last days and my usual machine straight up wanted to end that fabrics and it's own life, i finally used it and BOY SHE IS LOUD BUT SHE DIDN'T COMPLAIN! Like I loudly asked "YOU CAN DO THAT??" and if she could talk, she would have said "Did I stutter?" At the end of my con crunch I looked at my costume as well and even tho it nearly gave me a burnout I was so ready to start my next big project. Still can't believe what masterpiece I created and you actually inspired me to start it, when I saw you envy trees, especially Evergreens 😂

Kira! I highly, highly recommend a walking foot if you don't already have one!!! Your machine is a frickin champion for chewing through this project but a walking foot is designed to handle really chunky builds and lots of layers and generally just tricky fabrics etc. I think it could really help you, and it'd probably take some stress off your machine even though it's a heavy duty little guy.

I love how the final outfit turned out, especially the bolero thing!! I have a thing for corsets styled with one of those bolero things, it's such a Look. I feel like you could easily add a mesh cloak/cape to this look for extra ✨Drama ✨ Idk why this comes to mind, but for corset ideas, maybe a black one with a sculpted (or painted) rib cage on the outside? Bonus: if you go for painted, the make the corset reversible and make one side with a floral fabric where the lungs would be and a painted rib cage = Hanahaki corset

For that fabric, you line each panel before you sew the corset itself together. Match it back to back, and sew it down. That's the easiest way to line something like that

You'd probably want to back lining like that with a fusible interface, not the regular stuff, but they make one that is a little more heavy weight and stiff.
