What's interesting to me here is the progression of computer programming into the music world. 20 years ago i was using similar software to create multimedia presentations, dragging/dropping video segments and audio segments into linear 'score' . this is so cool to see applied to music and instruments.
It`s amazing, man! Coz we all see classic trap melodies when each tone sounds in each tact and its so boring and annoying. But this beat inspires me to make smthg cool as it ! Big thanks!
My dad was killed when i was 6 months old and my mum struggled so much to raise me. I dont know why as I was listening to your beat, in my head I felt as if I was telling the whole world what i went through growing up. Your beats are truly something else. This one reached my heart bro. You are an amazing artist and I hope you blow up soon.
Doesn’t quantize his beats?? What you mean lol? He does the drums in Fl’s channel rack so the drums are completely quantized and if you’re talking about melodies, cash doesn’t do anything much different to what Ocean did in this video.
Insane Monkey101 RU-vid is such a valuable tool! Don’t take it for granted. Here are some essential channels for FL beginners: Simon Servida, internet money, Cxdy Cxdy, Chu, and Chuki Beats to name a few of my faves. good luck and have fun!! 😁😁😁
I am watching oceans video from beggininh..from the day he started from scratch. He inspires me a lot. Thanks for this valuable info...god bless u man.
Dude promote yourself more, you are sick producer and you deserve to suceed.I can see that you are passionate about what you do and i wish you the best.Keep up the good work.👍🏻
Tip for people try to quantize as little as possible, if it’s slightly off that will just sound more natural. If it’s a chilled track you want it slightly late off the beat, opposite for up tempo to create a driving feel. This doesn’t need to be forced, as your playing will naturally do it with the feel of the music. If you must quantize then tighten up the bass drum, so you have a solid beat running throughout, everything else can feed of that. Stuff like bass, keys etc should always sound as natural as possible.
06:00 YO I was searching for a strum feature in logic for long, RU-vid search always showed me scripter stuff, which I didn’t understand. Thanks dude, doing those manually was way to annoying
Ivan Williams i dont know much about the making of beats since im just a rapper but if you want you can send me some of your work and i could see if i like it?
Yeah. Is funny though, musicians today know 100x more about actual music than artists of the past. You have to if you want to produce beats or music like this, if you got a guitar though you can just wank away at it without any real knowledge.
Tip for anyone: record all the parts of your song and then work on the volumes, panning, and EQ. Don't mix during the recording phase and don't mix individual tracks in solo but instead in the context of the rest of the beat.
I am a super noob and I love music. I've been wanting to do this all my life...is there a video you can make for beginners to tell us what we need to start and how to learn?
missbrownies90 i know a las vid. I’m just starting as well. But it’s in Spanish and it’s on FL studio which is different from this one. The one ocean uses is Logic
Start with fl studio mobile, it's only 15 bucks. Just start messing around making drum beats and piano melodies and guitar and such. You eventually get use to it. And it's also a fun pass time.
ngl, I got an OCD attack when he made the intro chords, the third chord was supposed to have the highest and lowest notes separated by octaves but they were separated by 7th's 😬😬
