I used to watch your videos EVERY DAY as a young kid I was absolutely obsessed with fishing my whole life. I actually fell into drugs early on and after awhile they took everything I loved out of my life. I just stopped caring about anything fishing included. I just went for the first time in several years a few days ago and caught some absolutely lunkers. The obsession instantly came back. It’s now the day after and I’m already watching all of Brendan’s videos again😂. I know that got way too deep for the comments section but I can’t express how much this means to me that my joy of what I love came back so much that I’m watching the channel I did as a kid😂 anyways if anyone reads this thank you for getting to the end lol because I wouldn’t have
Your commitment to this set up even after it “broke” was impressive. And Carp are known to be fairly hard fighters, and that one was decent. Great job again!
Brendan love your videos I’m 72 years old an grew up fishing my first fishing reel was Mitchell 300 I caught every thing on it even sharks and still have about 10 today I believe it was the first spinning reel made❤😊
Dollorama is some of the most fun fishing you can find!! Amazing gear, sometimes even name brands for pocket change, even these comically big crank baits and 18 inch soft plastic 8oz lures!
Ur video came up on my fyp, and gotta say man u are putting in the work and made a functional rod outta scratch, lots of clickbaity youtubers out there but was pleasantly surprised with your content. keep up the good work, you got urself a new subscriber ;)
Hello nice to see a new video of yours it's been a long time since you last posted a video nice to see you again Brendan 🎣👍 nice bait cast you should put the eye on the top of the rod it would make it easier to cast
When you were showing the real life, I said to myself congratulations he made a scabla real because that’s basically what that is it free spools has no brakes and no drag , Scarbla real a.k.a. the KP
Except that the reel is mounted in the wrong place for a fly rod. It needs to be below your hand grip to counterbalance the rod and line during casting. This is important for consistently good line control accuracy & presentation, which are very essential to consistently successful fly fishing. It is the main advantage that fly fishing can have over spin fishing in the hands of a competent fly fisher. I’ll give you points for just trying though.
While I do appreciate the creativity it took to put this together, I would have preferred to see you make a rod out of foraged and gathered natural materials. I think it's past time we as a society tried to find alternatives to all this cheap plastic crap from China that only ends up polluting the planet.
