Great sounds! Do you think you could upload the actual Polybrute presets you used? Assuming they aren't factory ones. I have a PB so I'd much rather buy the presets than samples for a synth I already have :)
hey , I wonder what's difference between let's just say pigments and polybrute synths , I mean I know that one is vst and second is analog , but I mean a sound , why somebody would pick one over another
The registration page on your website is broken. It never makes the button available to click, regardless of field completion. This means nothing can be downloaded from your site and this vid is useless for anyone not already registered to the website. Please fix Thanks.
Venus, I just wanna say thank you for all your work in the music world, as well as doing your free plugin series. That series has helped improve my production game tenfold, and for that I gotta thank you again lol.
SampleRobot is a hidden gem! It can also sample VST's, completely automated mind you. The only caveat it is HAS to be the top tier version for this. But it essentially means all of your favorite wacky synths are suddenly sound sources for a Kontakt library.
The Euroburo is just unbelievably useful. Its potentially a game changer for anyone who has a couple semi-modular synths and wants to get more into the modular world without buying a whole rack and thousands of dollars worth of modules. The fact that you can use it as both an effects processor and a CV mangler at the same time is just so incredibly convenient.
Thanks for another great addition to the Pianobook library. A couple thoughts... I think it would be nice to have the more distorted patches and the smoother ones separated in some way, even if by patch name (instead of just with numbers.) It's hard to know what they are by the current names you have. Also, if you ended up expanding on this, more of the less-distorted variety would be great. This is such a great sounding synth. Running through the Empress is a cool idea. More of that please.
Still can't believe mustacheBoy has only 136K Subs. Tell your friends and sound design buddies there's a channel that consistently, and intelligently, works the magic to make a solid contribution to the community of music designers and sound enthusiasts. Thank you to Venus Theory.. enjoy every one of your uploads, even the rare times when the content is beyond my interest.
I mean honestly I can't believe I have 136k subs in general - RU-vid has truly been a lifechanger for me and I'm insanely grateful to have found such an audience for the stuff I'm doing haha. Really glad you've been enjoying the channel so much though! Cheers! ☕
Give it a shot! It's a lot of fun and not too terribly hard once you get the flow down. I may do a more detailed video in the future on how I produce commercial libraries, but we'll see.
Finally someone showing a lil bit of process of UI design for VSTs! I love skeumorphism and it's also the reason why I use.... Reason. If anyone can pinpoint me toward VST UI design tutorials, I would greatly appreciate it. A VST where I loved the design for example was the beautiful Parafilter Sequencer v2 rack extension
Inspiring. June's Featured Samplist on Pianobook by Spitfire Audio, you say. WOW, well done. With 130,000 youtube subscribers, I would have expected them to crown you "samplist of the year". I am looking forward to your reviews of Spitfire Audio libraries tho. In the meantime, thanks for the inspiration. I am off to build a free synth from a 5$ instrument.
Ayyyy the legend. Haha well hey thanks so much. It was really incredible to be featured - definitely a highlight for me. I have a few of their libraries but haven't really thought about reviewing them too much as gear/plugin/etc reviews are a bit boring to me but perhaps I'll do some stuff showcasing it someday. Cheers! ☕
omg thank you for sharing! I kinda hated making my first Decent Sampler instrument lol (using some old 00s era Virus samples). Sample Robot will make things so much simpler!
OmG I was just playing the Polybrute at my local synth store, Control Voltage (if ever I. Portland, OR I *Highly* recommend a visit). & I agree it is Very possible to get completely lost in its seemingly endless sonic possibilities. Can't wait to try your newest Decent sampler & congrats on being a recent featured sampler
If I'm ever up that way I'll have to check it out - bit of a drive from Nashville though haha. Looks like a really cool shop! Polybrute is incredible. Only downside is how much of a lost-sleep machine it is.
"and a light descended from the ups truck" love it! thank you for this library! i can't wait to check it out. As a musician and composer I can totally relate to how things do not usually end up as intended but even better!
Saw you at pianobook as featured artist. Well earned, Cameron. And with this tut you inspire some more people to get into building sample libs on their own. Me inclusive. Thanks for the inspiration, again.
You provide the best all round music production content on this platform imo, Not only are you educated and informative but you have a great sense of humor and provide quality entertainment value. The ' moustache fantano ' line in the intro fucking sent me
Well I guess I'll be downloading this awesome new sample. Thank you for this new tool man! I have pretty much all you others. I really like Stella a lot and volitions. Actually, you're the one who introduced me to PB! Have a great day man!!
Wow! Watched your video and bought the Polybrute instead of a NI S61. My first analog synth after over 30 years using VSTs and digital synth like the Kawai K1 and Ensoniq VFX. But now it's going deep. Thank you so much for your inspirations!
Isometra is 🔥F A N T A S T I C🔥!!! I'm going to use it for that "Radioactive Pads" sound. Thank you so much for creating this sample library, and being awesome!
Great! Excellent! Fantastic video! I always love your content, it feels like listening to a best friend (the one I have yet to meet in person). However this one is absolutely so above and beyond quality! Thank you for you work, kindness that come through in your videos, and your shared knowledge.
Great stuff, Cameron. Thank you for all you do. Maybe you should host a show and tell where we all compose a two minute piece using a maximum of five patches from your sampler. Would be interesting ☺️
This is great. As luck would have it, the two things I want to buy over the next year are ... Euroburo first (initially for my Microfreak). Then and a Polybrute, probably next year. Good shout on Sample Robot, I've been finding the autosample feature on my Akai MPC One really helpful. This looks even better for Kontakt/Decent library. Do you use any particular tools to navigate/browse/manage your whole sample library? p.s. please point SampleRobot at Microfreak into Euroburo next ;)
Gaw damn, the production in your videos has gone absolutely through the roof. Love watching these in the morning while I eat breakfast. Question: what do I search to buy the flute at 0:40, because I play flutes and that one actually sounds pretty decent IMO.
Thanks so much! Videos take a TON of effort these days but I'm glad it shows. There's a ton of planning and prep for shooting but I think it's fun - good creative outlet when I'm not in the music making mood. The instrument at 0:40 is a Duduk - really beautiful instrument I always wanted to play. Only issue is that it's a double reed instrument so it's quite a challenge to play.
The mid lows feel a bit thinner than moog's mid lows, but great textures on those patches. I liked them one of them reminded me of a sound I heard in Anihilation a sci fi movie.
@@lardosian you can, absolutely! It can do a great deal of unexpected things if you have different ideas....for instance, I made mine allow me to control my synth with my voice, then bring the sound back in to add reverb and effects, as just one of my presets, others I have 7 loopers sequenced to go at different rates for a weird glitchy delay effect, and things like that It takes some learning, but there are a lot of good RU-vid videos teaching you the basics. And once you start using it, the UI becomes really intuitive - you just make connections by pressing the two parameters you want to be related (for signal path as well as modulation). Honestly I am amazed at what it can do for $400 bucks (for the pedal version, the Eurorack version is $600, which is still a really good deal!)
Very nice. Extremely generous. There's a handful of content providers, that are actually must see content. Your channel is definitely one. My wife absolutely loves your whimsical sayings at the beginnings of your videos. Especially the grumpy mustach guy telling Un.....Audio to go F themselves. Excellent content as always and the sample pack is just the cherry on top.
Dang, you're good - Great even - Love this video and the sounds you've created. Your explanations make this all so doable - Thanks for the inspiration!
Appreciate the content you always put out. I am getting into music production and all of these sorts of videos makes it a LOT less overwhelming. What I also really appreciate is that you encourage experimentation. Feels like an eternal struggle to balance learning tricks in music production with not putting yourself in a cage. I like to learn common pitfalls and advice, while still getting great ideas on how to go off the rails. I guess in the end whatever sounds good is fine--but I also don't want my stuff to sound awful. Thank you again, I downloaded these samples they are amazing.
love the intro phrases with the titles you give yourself at the beginning of videos, the latest ones really made me chuckle, haha. one of the best youtubers in sound design and music overall
Heads up: when changing presets in the top, some settings get stuck (a whole lot of reverb and or release) - which causes the presets to sound radically different and much louder than they do if I preselect them instead of using the arrows at the top in DecentSampler. I think you should look into that. Amazing sounds! but that GUI error really ruins the experience when switching presets. Maybe it only happens with me? I can send you a recording of it if you want. I use DecentSampler 1.5.9 VST3
Yes I really enjoy my regular Weekend - 'Morning Coffee with Cameron' sessions 😎as there is a lot of inspiration to be found in the content and this looks pretty amazing! Good work blimey 👌💯👀🎹🎵🎧 and thank you!
Isometra is an absolutely stunning drone. Indeed, it has the potential to evolve as other harmonics are introduced to it. I love that kind of vibe and I'd find it very useful in my cosmic music as well. I make my own such samples but now and then I allow other artists to inspire me to as well! Peace and cheers, friend! Your channel is in my top 10! I've learned so much, and I always look forward to your radio-quality voice saying your famous catchphrase at the beginning! I'm proud to be a longtime, Buckaroonie!
This was a fantastic video -- thank you! I really appreciated the behind the scenes view of what it takes to build a library. I'm going to give it a shot! 🙂
Cameron, you are awesome. I have been watching your videos for over a year now and find them so helpful and cool and I love your dry sense of humour, not too much unlike my own!! I have all of your Decent Sampler instruments and love them all. I make Gothic Horror music as A Time Of Shadows and have found a lot of use from your earlier Decent Sampler instruments, but now you've made one that specifically has some darker sounds......Thank You, I will definitely be using this one too. Thank you for your beautifully well made videos and you awesome teaching method. Keep up the excellent work on your fabulous videos and thank you again for being you and being awesome.
@@VenusTheory I thought I had Subscribed, but that was my personal channel, so I have now subbed with A Time Of Shadows too, as I watch more stuff on this channel now, than I do my personal. Yes your channel has been and continues to be a gold mine of info. Thank you.
Mate, did you ever try HISE to get a VST inatrument out of your sample-instruments ? its a fantastic tool, and free also also ! i BET you will love it, venus! greeting!
_"I was gonna' name it something like proton decay . . . "_ Protons don't decay, well at least not though any process we are aware of, there are a couple of hypothetical processes, but even these would require timescales of around x100000000000000000000000000 the age of the universe ! So ~10^26 x the age of the universe (which itself is 10^10 year) . . . translation: Protons don't decay : )
