Ara, The Flower Stand came out perfect and magical. I love the blue glow, I think that was the perfect idea to tie everything together. Thank you so for making me the Mirror Gate for my NeverEnding Story series. It was so cool to see how you made the mirror gate. I was so curious what you used when I had it in my hands. The blue glow worked well. I wonder if a light under some clear scrap plastic, then covered in snow would have made it really glow. I love the dormant flower shop and the idea that the frost fairy creates her own snow drop flowers.

I loved this video. The word "fairy" got my attention as I intend to do a fairy scene myself sometime. As always, I have learned something from watching you. I do love that you used the blue in the snow. It will help for others who would need a coloured light shining in the snow like a streetlight or outside house light.

Wow, Ara, this scene is so beautiful! I love the purple on it. The fairy is gorgeous also, and I really like the kit. The blue around the fairy was a bit much until you knocked it back a bit, but now it definitely gives the vibe that she is glowing onto the things around her. All of it together is a 10 out of 10!

When I think of a roadside 'flower stand' I expect cut flowers. Buckets filled with cut farm flowers, paper wrap, big vase of roses, etc. And only a few potted plants and trays of bedding plants.

This is so charming and it might be odd to say, it gives a warm and welcoming vibe. It looks like the fairy has taken a cold and abandoned place with neglected objects and brought her special magic to bring it all to life in a different way. The saying, "Bloom where you are planted" came to mind. I just love this. Thank you for sharing so many creative techniques!

What a darling little stand! Love all the details of the pots, soil bags (great tip on the foil inside!), broken chair... everything! it all came together with the snow and the fairy. Magical! And I do think the blue glow works. Much love!

I love how this came out. It kind of does look like the snow is glowing blue from the fairy. I'm not a fan of purple but I really love the aged purple with the brown and white wash. I love the white wash as another option from the black. The dead plants in the brown pots give off such an authentic look and feel for an abandoned winter scene. I especially love the snow drift that the wind has blown inside the stand.The fairy making a crystal snowflake plant is lovely. I'm obsessed with her wings.🥰❤️

So sweet! So beautiful! To imagine that this is what is going on outside, while we are all tucked in for the night. I imagine that sometimes Jack Frost may accompany the little Icicle Fairy on her artistic adventures. The purple background color reminds me of how the shadows form, as the sun sets, in the snowy winter wonderlands of our world. Love the work that you did on Lesleys mirror. Perfect!

In your "normal" miniatures, you never use colors, so I was very curious how you would do this scene. It is another Ara-creation, you can see it is your work. Even it is different. I love it. 😍It is magical, a kind of fairy-story, and it looks old and abandoned. 😊It was the right thing to do, putting a layer of snow over the blue. Now it looks more natural. I think you did a great job! How do you know how to do snow so well, when you live in Texas? Right now, I am suppose to be on my way to see your Captains quarters in Tucson. (I hope it will still be at the museum, next year.) Here I sit, stuck in the snow at home, instead! The last few days our snow has been very sparkly. It’s quite pretty, considering it is SNOW! (Not a fan of winter.) Keep up the good work. I really enjoy watching you create!

I lived in Illinois for 7 years so I got very familiar with the stuff lol! Oh no, I am so sorry you got stuck and couldn't get on the flight to Tucson😔 It will definitely still be there next year because its on a two year contract. Still, I know it's a bummer to have your initial plans canceled because of weather.

Maybe she could be a moonlit fairy and you could have used glow in the dark paint or fluorescent paint and a black light. Just a thought off the top of my head. But when you said you wanted her to look like she was glowing that’s what I thought of.

Q: (probably will never see this, but . . . ) Why bend soil bags that are leaning against something. Shouldn't they look like fat bellies if they're filled with soil? Just food for though. Otherwise, it's charming, even abandoned.

I saw it ;) I was thinking of the soil bags that have been sitting smashed flat for a long time. Sometimes they hold their shape when they are moved. I think if it was freshly dug dirt then it would pooch out a bit more like that. But I could definitely be wrong... I do not have a green thumb at all!

It's actually a really good sewing machine, it's just heavy and complicated. If I used it to sew all the time I am sure it would be great, but I just have to relearn the basics every time I pull it out. So it's more me than the machine lol!

I live in Minne-SNOW-ta and I can say the snow looks VERY real and natural the way you did it. I love the blue hue for the fairy but think it is still missing a little..... something... maybe some silver sparkle of some sort? or irridescent topping to put on the snow around her (and the pot) to add to the blue hue? Everything else looks just perfect!

I think you really nailed the blue glow effect. The snowflake plant looks like it has a light in the pot. I also really appreciate that you included info about how you made the mirror frame for Lesley. I was itching to see how it was made after I saw it on her channel. You did a beautiful job. Thanks for sharing.

I am so glad you enjoyed both builds! The mirror for Lesley was so fun to create and I am so glad she asked me to do it! I am so honored it will be included in her huge Never Ending Story project!

I love how the Ice Fairy looks in your abandoned Flower Shop. She looks so magical and the light blue really highlights her magic powers. I was happy to see you using the white sand again after seeing you use it for The Shining diorama. It makes the spackle really look like snow.

After watching Lesley's video where she added blue lights... I think it would have been really cool if I had thought of it lol! I decided to keep this one electricity free but it definitely would have been fun to see it actually glow!
