Today I'm showing you how I made my own MASCOT HORROR game in unreal engine 5. Mascot horror is a genre that makes a LOT of money, and I would also like some money so I thought I might give it a try. This game took me a year to make so please go check it out.

I am a gas mask nerd / collector interesting info about the gas mask used in that game, The gas mask used is a GP5 from cold war russia its the most produced gas mask in all of history as it was made for russian civilians to put in bunkers and basements!

The lore is strong with this one. I believe this factory is Chernobyl. In an alternate reality gassey is a Russian experiment to be used for war during the Cold War and Chernobyl was a nuclear testing lab but abandoned shortly after the Cold War in this universe. Do to this you are an urban explorer that just so happens to run across gassey the gas man and trust me he ain’t a friendly mascot.

Well it totally has more effort then Gardan of Banban, GOBB looks like a poorly made mobile game made in Unity, this game looks like it actually had effort put into it and actually has a very creative mechanic.

The idea of the camera taking the light of the sources and put it to another is a veey good idea. I already imagine the character putting on the light to his path to put the monster away because it hates it.

Mascot Horrors are parodies of Childhood Pop Media, like ChuckE Cheese or 80s Toys. No one confuses Jason or Myers for Mascot Horror (though Chucky is technically a Haunted Good Guys Doll, and would actually count as a Mascot Horror). What is Gassy the Gas Man parodying from your Childhood?

This looks like a really promising start! If you'd like some constructive criticism, I think there's a couple ways you could improve the game. First off, I think the mechanics are the game's strongest point. The light-based puzzles are unique and interesting. The only thing I would change would be to add some more effects, like have a ball of light zooming to/from you when you capture light, and maybe have a light rope or something to indicate which light you're being pulled towards. I think a major problem with the trailer right now is that we don't see enough of the monster. Mascot horror needs to have a really strong monster to focus, with a great design that actually looks scary, like huggy wuggy or freddy fazbear or choo-choo charles. Right now, just a guy in a gas mask isn't that scary. I think it has potential though, and redesigning it and having it play a bigger part in the trailer would help the game a lot. This game idea definitely has promise, and I hope it gets popular.
