A thought I had was "What if you could supercharge a Creeper to do double damage?" Since that can happen when Creepers are struck by lightning! And since lightning strikes are random, you could have those be a die roll with five "blank" faces and one Creeper face that supercharges it (so the die actually looks like a mob head, too)
I think Creep 'N Grief seems pretty good in it's beta but I agree with him adding cards and some agency when the building is a great idea. The spawner itself makes me wonder if we couldn't have other mobs and give them special dice or cards to play to increase the strategy. For example have it so each player can put a card into play that has the mob on it: Creeper, Zombie, Skeleton and Pillager and you get some interesting playstyles for what could happen but you would need ID colors for each of the four sides. Also a wild card idea: add some passive mobs/props to spawn in that they could defend their base with and you get some really good defense VS aggro strategy in play and when marketing (Not that Mojang would let you but let's day dream a moment) you have options for refill packs and expansion a key thing for any board game.
These are lovely suggestions! Haha, I did upload / release the game contents as are for free, and that's what I intend to do when returning to it as well. This is a video series project, not an income generating intention - Sometimes it's just fun to make stuff! :D
what would be cool is, allowing the players to create their own, terrain, maybe using scaffolds to place down thr blocks and such, and different heights can make the creeper take falll damage, but as a rule the terrain must have a way to safely get down to all of the bases. and maybe there could be like a sort of power up which allows you to place saplings which grows into blockaded from the creepers, the creepers can blow up the blockade to access
I think alongside the players placing buildings to block paths, the terrain height should be configurable, they can change the layout of the land before the game and that terrain difference will determine how the creepers move as well.
I'm working with my dad to try and make my own table-top game using 3d printed pieces, and I was always an amateur at Blender, but I was always pretty good at Blockbench and I didn't know I could use Blockbench to make models to 3d print! Thank you for helping me realize that!
not even lying, if this was a purchasable game, id send myself to walmart without second thought. i actually like the terrain, makes the game more mine-crafty.
Hello i watched the video and i wanted to share an idea. what if you could place blocks to block creepers and use a dice or cards to pick how many you can place! the creeper could chose to explode the blocks at the cost of a creeper or move around it! you could even add a stairs that let creepers move down or up a layer, doors players can open and close to block creepers! this addition I feel would add more to the building aspect you could have cards that could be "Move [x] times or Mine [x] blocks" to add more skill to the game. finally you could give players swords with 3 uses to kill creepers that are to close! those are just thoughts I would want in a Minecraft board game! if you see this let me know your thoughts!
That's a great idea. Also, what if there was 1 card per player (each player has to have 1 of this card) witch allows them to summon 1 steve per game (witch would have the sword you mentioned) the steve could go and kill the creepers. but if he got blown up by the creepers he would die and the player couldn't respone him for the rest of the game! Just a thought.😃😁

Been working in Illustrator, with a decent basic experience with the software. If you are a subscriber of the adobe creative cloud, you'd pick it up fast. But it's a few $/mo
If I were to make a minecraft card game. I'd make it a crafting turn-based battle game where each ingredient in minecraft has abilities like pokemon and can move one card every turn + use a cards ability. And if you get your cards in a crafting order, you can trade them for a better card.
Great board game idea, I can see multiple version of this game being released, I would recommend creating an MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics) document, and reiterate on it after playtests
I remember when I was like 8 I made a game like risk because I thought it was to complex and my mom and dad said we could not buy it so I made it myself and I remember my dad would say oh change this and change that and helped me get it to a good point. Now I am playing dnd and glumhaven!
@@MoreByKev Well we *do* have the board game files, so someone could in theory port it over. I'd love to but I don't even have Tabletop nor can my PC run tabletop. Edit made 30 seconds later: I checked the requirements and my PC *can* run it! So I'll be waiting for a discount.
Uuuuh, I really want to test this. I'm looking forward for any updates you make to the game mechanics, are you going to upload the non elevated playing board too? Would we be allowed to tinker with the design to make the creepers fit better/more stabilised?
Something that bothers me more than it should is that the Creeper face on the dice is for 1 and not 6, as is most common for dice with a special-looking face. Edit: Nevermind I just completely misundedstood how the dice worked
Interesting that you look at it this way, since neither dice is built to work according to the 1-6 system, but rather a % chance, and the numbers between are specifically choosen to prevent a too small or too large step 🤔
The BambuLab P1S (Combo). There is a non-encased version too, which you can obtain for a lower cost. I can't do without encased tho since it's running in my office 🥼🥽
@MoreByKev a suggestion I have is maybe add a way to revive other players. Or even build pistons with slime blocks to push creepers away, and if they build it right, the creeper goes back to the start, buying them time to build a base.
