if we’re sharing weird childhood anxieties, when I was a kid I used to sleep fully clothes because I was terrified of a house fire and for some reason being dressed seemed very important to me in that situation! like I’d rather sleep in jeans than escape a fire in pajamas..?

Red was my favourite colour as a kid, I loved it so much I had a party where everything was red, the balloons, the cake, the plate, everyone wore red, we had re lights..thinking back it feels like a cult meeting with a bunch of 4 year olds😭

I would defiantly love to see more videos like this. Personally, I love hearing stories, so you just talking and coming up with ideas for sims in the neighborhood sounds fun.

Me: gosh I have been playing sims for hours now. Let’s have a look on my iPad and take a break. Also me: clicks on sims videos and goes back to playing sims

I once met a girl that literally recoiled from the colour purple. I had two pens, a pink and a purple, but the pink one the cartridge(?) was spent so it didn't write. I lent her the purple pen to write in a group card or smth like that and she backed off and said "purple is the colour of death!" glaring like she was offended at me. I blinked twice at her, switched the cartridges in front of her and lent her the pink pen to write with, then switched them back and wrote my part with the purple pen in front of her. She avoided me the rest of the day. She saw me switch the cartridges, she knew she was writing with the one that was in the purple pen, but since the shell holding it was not purple it was fine? Guess there's no arguing superstition. That also reminds me of a gal a few years later that nearly hit me for opening an umbrella indoors, saying I was calling more rain. Without missing a beat I told her that only happened if I held the opened umbrella vertically above my head, but since I was holding it sideways (to shake off the water) it was fine. She paused for a couple seconds then agreed, and didn't bother me again with that. That was some quick thinking on my part, I was proud of that. Lesson here is don't fight superstition, work around it. If you tell someone their superstition is wrong they'll fight tooth and nail to protect it, because by saying their belief is wrong you're also saying _they_ are wrong, and it makes people defensive. If you tell them their superstition is just _incomplete_ they'll be curious, and often accept your explanation. You didn't say they/their beliefs were wrong, you just said they didn't have the whole information, and if there's something a superstitious person hates is feeling they don't have the full information, and at this point you can very helpfuly fill this gap. Manipulative? Perhaps. But superstition and conspiracy work on emotion, not on logic, and it's not your job to "fix" people, your time is better spent elsewhere.

This was a lot of fun! I always have the hardest time making sims so I’ll often randomize two sims and use genetics to make their kid and play with that sim, or I’ll get a sim off of the gallery and edit them. It takes me hours and hours to make a sim from scratch.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. Kayla in CAS feels unsettling.

In regards to stories, apparently I'm the kind of player that makes one up on the fly as I'm playing. Usually inspired by something that happens in a save that sends me spiraling into a story. I haven't managed the art of the backstory yet lol.

As a person with hyperhydrosis, I wear socks to bed. I wear socks all the time. The only time I ever take them off is to shower or change them for new ones. I don’t understand why people think wearing socks to bed is so weird. I’m completely used to it and desensitised to the topic. Why is it weird?

What I've been doing lately to plan outfits, is I'll choose two or three colors their outfits defaulted in, filter for only those colors, and assemble their outfits according to their personality.

Funny story, I also used to hate the color red because it was the color of blood, but now its one of my favorite colors because of it being the theme color of some of my favorite characters in shows, also I used to think red and black was so much better than red and white , I just some reason thought it looked weird but for the same reason red is one of my favorite colors now, now its literally my favorite color combination, definitely “not” the character of my pfp’s photo that caused that lol

I’ve started making houses before sims recently ad it’s quite fun. You can design a house and think about them as people and brainstorm stories then bring them to life afterwards

When she talked about the Names for the Kid…Oh my, I live in Germany, and all names are basically Günter, Werner or Lena or other Old German names no one is named nowadays. Every Second randomized Surname is Müller… Edit: Well, Lena is not that old, but you get what I mean
