I love how in the very beginning, Benson, being the easy going guy he is, didn’t even flinch as yarn was hurdled onto his sleeping spot

Actually, the technique of getting wool wet, and rubbing it together to connect it is called Wet Felting! That's how they make wool berets. They lay tufts of wool in opposite directions, and rub it all together inside some mesh with a bunch of soap, and water till it makes a fabric circle! that's why they don't have outside seems, it's a super cool process~

The jumper turned out amazing!! Justa tip for next time: for the button hole, instead of casting off, do a yarn forward during the knit row 😊

I knit,a little, but now I have to know what is a "yarn forward"?
@skyer0blue
@skyer0blue Год назад
@@kskc1234 it's a technique used to create a hole in a garment, either for decorative use or practical use (ie. a buttonhole). During a knit row you wrap the woola round the needle anticlockwise so it makes a loop, then you knit the next two stitches together.

Thank you for another great and gutsy crocheting video. I started saying, “Why not!” When I craft because of you. You always try new and crazy ideas and at first I say, “ nah that won’t work.”… but it turns out great.” Thank you for the inspiration.❤

Experienced Aussie RN here, longtime follower. Strep throat IS tonsillitis for most people, and needs antibiotics so that it doesn’t get very serious and spread. Your white cell count being high simply confirms you have an infection (which you already knew). The throat swab will confirm whether they were correct on their diagnosis and whether you’re on the right antibiotics. But the fact you felt better quickly initially indicates it was correct. I’ve had bad tonsillitis (yes, strep too) and also lost my voice for a time. You poor thing. You’re back and fighting! Love the jumper. (Sweater.)

The sweater is amaze balls! I am old enough to be your mother but I really enjoy your sense of style and your exuberance is infectious. I like to make things, too. :-) And I have recently discovered that I enjoy thrifting! Overall you are adorable and I admire your determination with your projects as well as your ability to learn new things and not expect perfection and get frustrated. Keep at it!

Hey Jenna! Love your jumper. I'm planning to crochet one using just scraps. Pro tip: A 6x6" (15.24 x 15.24 cm) gauge swatch can help you get the number of stitches needed for your oversize sweater. Just follow this formula for getting stitches that measure a desired length: number of stitches per 4" (10 cm) times the desired length. Divide by 4" (10 cm) and the result rounded to the nearest even number is your desired number of stitches (assuming you are working ribbing after you cast on).

You know I ve always had two left hands and only sheer perseverance ever made me finish my sewing . And the fact that I wanted dresses that were not on the market during the nineties. I loved dresses like aprons , that folded over in the back and tied in front aso. Today they are every where. I had one pattern for wide trousers which I used for over twenty years with every fabric imaginable. I think you are a designer in the making. All the best !

It turned out beautiful! I love scrap yarn! I'd rather knit or crochet with scrap yarn than make something in one solid color. I am accumulating a nice collection of little bits of sock weight yarn, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I'm thinking of making a rectangular piece with buttons that can be converted into a scarf, cowl, hooded scarf, shrug, etc.

I love making things out of scraps. I just finished a bunch of cotton bags and despite how many more projects are in my queue, I had to make a scrap pencil pouch. Then, I'll do some face scrubbies. And anything left after that (or really short ones before round two,) will go into the cotton bag I am making to hold my future cotton yarn scraps. Scrap procjects: creativity and yarn chicken married and had babies and they are all beautiful.
