My tank top measurements (all measurements taken laying flat): 16" pit to pit, 15.25" long.
My measurements: 38" bust, 28" waist, 5'8 height.
Basic Sentro Tank Top Instructions:
1. Make a gauge swatch.
2. Using your gauge swatch determine how many panels you will need. The front and back panels should be made up of 3 squares. I made my squares 4"x4" (so each of my front and back panels were 4" wide x 12" long). The side panels should be made up of 2 squares, so my panels measured 4" wide x 8" long. I made 6 longer panels and 2 shorter panels, but make however many you need based on your measurements and your gauge swatch.
3. To make the panels, start by casting on with waste yarn. Cast on and knit however many stitches/rows you need to make a square. Cast off and flip your project around. Put each stitch back over the pins on your machine making sure to not skip any stitches. Your project will seem very tight on the machine and look like it's kind of popping up. This is normal! Continue knitting however many rows you need to make a square. Repeat the steps of casting off, flipping your project around, and putting your project back on the machine one more time to finish your longer panel (when making your shorter panel, you can stop after knitting the second square). Knit a few rows of waste yarn and cast off.
4. Make however many panels you need.
5. Join the panels together! I linked a tutorial for the method I like below, but feel free to use whatever method you prefer!
6. Slip stitch along ALL of the edges of your project and remove the waste yarn.
7. Knit two straps either on the sentro or with your needles. Sew them on the corners of your tank.
8. Weave in all your ends.
9. Wash your tank and lay it flat to dry.
And you're all done! Happy crafting!

The colors of that yarn remind me of "mood ring" paint. It would be great to have buttons or something with that paint 😁

I love this so much ! Totally going to try this. May I ask does blocking really make a difference? I have never done it before.

Thank you so much! 💕 I technically didn’t block this because I didn’t pin it (I just laid it flat to dry), but blocking does do wonders for knit/crochet projects! It can totally change the size of your project, how even the stitches look, and how it lays on your body when wearing it!

Thank you for showing your process! Did it take you one skein to make the top?
@quinnbender

Yes only one skein! Sorry I totally forgot to mention that!

how many stiches did you cast on for each square/panel? or how did you figure out the math for how many stiches, and how many rows for each!?

I cast on 14 sts for each of my panels, but the total number of rows varied a little. For my longer panels, the total number of rows I knit was 54 (I knit 18 rows, then I took my project off the machine, re cast, knit 18 rows, and repeated once more). I knit a total of 36 rows for my shorter panels (again knitting 18 rows, then taking my project off the machine, re casting, and knitting another 18 rows). I have some instructions in the description to help guide you, but I also have a video that can help you figure out how many stitches and rows you’d need to fit your specific size! It’s called “answering all your sentro sizing questions” if you want to check it out!

Bought wool? For the summer?you should have bought cotton yarn that is much fresher!

Unfortunately cotton yarn doesn’t work on the sentro, otherwise I definitely would have!
