I was quite expecting it to ping off after a few rows, like it did when you were just putting on the net!! 'Frank'? I thought you called him 'Fred'? Dual personality mannequin head? Haha, he's back to being 'Fred'!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 xx
Oh!! I saw some doll and drag tutorials where they made yarn wigs. If you brush it out with a metal dog brush until it's more like small strands/fluff, then use a straightening iron on it, it will look like hair!
You should have used a latch hook knot I don’t know the actual name but it’s where you fold the strand in half then pull the ends through the loop, twice the strands in a spot and a lot harder for them to fall out
I shaved my head back in September only just started to grow it back now but someone from Austria made me a wig out of silly worms and it’s still to this day my favourite thing in the world I love the wig and you!
If you doubled your yarn length and pulled it through to the midpoint and knotted in the middle you’d have had double the volume for half as many holes filled. It would also keep them from falling out 😬
Something I'd have done differently would be to pull the yarn through to the middle then knot once, then you'd have 2 strands hanging down instead of just one. But I've never tried this, so am unsure if it would work or make a difference!
@@AnthonyCrammen I was thinking the same as Nutty Insomniac, 2 strands for the effort of 1. Don't think it'd reduce the amount of hours, and hours and hours.. you had to spend though 'cos you'd still have same amount of holes to fill. Your patients and determination to finish deserves a round of applause Ant. I thought it looked like a multi coloured 'Thing' of the Addams Family lol
could you put a really long piece of yarn through a large eye sewing needle and then weave in and out but leaving large pieces hanging down, then you could just cut the ends so they aren’t attached at the bottom at the end?! 🤗💕
That is one awesome wig at first it looked like a rainbow version of Cousin It but finished up looking very cool you have a whole lot more patience then me Anthony but thank you for another fun view never know what your going to do next he he
My mum ( still going ) made a mane for a hobby horse from black wool and it looked wonderful. I loved your rainbow wig and what a great deal of patience you possess Anthony, well done indeed. I donated my daughters rainbow tinsel wig last year that I brought her when she was six, she is now thirty seven and I have yet to be forgiven for this apparently heinous act of criminality . Keep wearing the wig it really suited you and if you ever make a rainbow tinsel wig I may copy it send it north to Musselburgh and gain forgiveness . A brilliant video, I do enjoy my Sunday morning Anthony time xxxx
Ah thanks Nina! Oh your mam sounds very talented! 😊😊 Oh a tinsel wig sounds fab!! How could you donate it?! 😅 I'm sure a tinsel wig would be relatively easy to make though! 😁😁
Okay Ant, I thought I had patience but up you got me beat. Nope, nope, nope. Fred and the unfinished wig would ended up in recycling. I actually loved the finished results. A little brushing and giving it an actual part would be fabulous…..oooooooh, what about cutting in some bangs? Have a great weekend!
Omg you put the wig on and a couldn't breath laughing!! I'm not sure you were trying to convince us or you that it looked great after the extraordinary effort you put into it. 👍👍
Perseverance pays off and not a whiff of hot glue. A 24 hour live wool wigging marathon would a test of your subscribers endurance like Japanese reality TV show. Maybe one or two of the 5000 might make it to the final top knot. . Congrats on reaching 5000 subs. What every you do don't try making a fine Persian carpet they have over 1000 knots per square inch, that would drive you mad.
Haha! It would be a challenge to sit through that!! 😂😂 Ah and thanks Waverley! I don't think that ideas ever crossed my mind and I don't think it ever will now! 🤣🤣
Ik I'm extremely late commenting on this but if you ever wanna make another one I have a tip as a black girl. Sometimes we do yarn or crochet braids which not only would make the process go a lot quicker, but increase the strength of your strands! If you get a crochet hook (or use your hands) cut the yarn so you can meet the ends of a single strand at your preferred length, use that top loop to feed it through the holes and secure it by feeding the two ends through the loop and pulling it tight. You can even tie a knot or create a group of strands. Using a crochet hook makes it like 10xs faster.
Hey Ant, congratulations on hitting 5k subscribers - the army of Ant Fans grows by the day! :-D Thanks for this week's video - it made my weekend! :-) You just need a carnival on the farm to show off your EPIC creation!! :-D :-D
@@AnthonyCrammen and I’m still an idiot for not paying attention to the time when I comment! 🤦♀️ sorry. Really is a Great job tho you have way more patients than I.
@@AnthonyCrammen I always say I’m going to use the yarn for something but never do. Then end up giving it to my mother so she can make lap blankets for the rest of the ladies. Lmao. She’s well stocked!
Hi Anthony! Thank you for the video. It was a fun watch and I now know I never want to make a wig, way too much work. It would be awesome as a costume wig.
@@AnthonyCrammen It needs a better part at the top but turned out really cute! Now we know what you would look like with wool dreads and I actually like it.
Hey Anthony I am going to give this a go but I think I will use hot glue on some of it and my wig needs to be reaching for the gods and pink, so will use different shades and then braid some it abd stick the rest around a central ball 🏀 of some sort then blast it with pink glitter ✨ thanks for the inspiration ❤️
@@AnthonyCrammen Thank 😅 Thinking I may comb some of the wool out so it’s like crazy dolls hair va at the front like a quiff fringe - and more hair like - and then pin that in to. Wish me luck 🍀❤️
I love it!! You couldn't handle having braided hair. When I get ny hair done it takes between 6-10 hours depending on how long and how many people are braiding it
For anyone else considering doing this, it can go twice as fast if you fold the yarn in half and pull the ends through the looped end. It creates an unbreakable knot, and finishes 2x faster. Also, skip 2/3 of the holes otherwise it’ll be suuuper heavy.
You know how they say when girls interact with each other their monthlys sync up? I think our gay energy has synced up. I've been sewing hair weftsf for a few hours and I decided to take a break and watch RU-vid. When I saw your video, but wait there's more. I was eating dinner a salad (the first in months) that's made up of 90% dressing!!!! You wouldn't be able to handle having braided hair 😂😂 I have a similar haircut to you, but where your highlights are. I have long pink braids (if I converted everything correctly, right around 100 centimetres). Even though 70% of my hair is cut off. It's still takes two women around 5-6 hours to completely braid my hair. I love the wig by the way!
@@AnthonyCrammen Okay, I wrote this message at like 5am. I remember posting it, but then I couldn't find it lol. So I wrote a second shorter one because there was no way I had the required mental capacity to write it all over. 😂😂😂😂😂 Thank you for finding it! 😘😘
Oh my! This video sure did make me laugh. As a person who works with yarn everyday, I thought "That's gonna be a HUGE mess", but watching it happen was very entertaining (I swear I'm not a terrible person! 🤣). The end twirling bit is worth it though... I salute your determination and ability to stick with it!
Hi Anthony. Omg, where to start lol. When it was all on Frank I thought it looked like cousin It off the Addams family🤪. Excellent result thank god after all that hard work. You’ll have to wear it all the time now though 😆 . Any news on the job front? Xx
Haha!! 😂😂 Ah thanks Ruth! Well because I pre-record my videos you'll get some updates along the way, but things kinda worked out in the end, still lost my job but got something else instead lol!
I didn’t have to watch the video to know this would be an epic episode, 😂 but don’t you live in sheep country? You better be careful that some overly enthusiastic sheep farmer doesn’t decide to shear you.

This reminded me of a project I wanna do which is to make a jacket from strips of coloured foil I’ve got a picture somewhere I’ll see if I can tag you on Instagram. I loved your wig so much it just grew and grew and took on a life all of its own. I bet it was hot after awhile.
