i accidentally left the tiktok of the cat on screen from 2:19-2:37, i almost went back to delete and reupload the video but i think its better i just let it be
Was about to comment this. I've been in IT for about 10 years now and I've NEVER heard one that sounds THIS bad.😂 the platters gotta look like a well used ps2 game by now
@@blueburger4 no doubt there xD, or worse, an Xbox 360 disk after the laser melted it, I legit had a 360 do that to my copy of blue dragon, I was NOT happy, but yeesh, that poor hard drive's seen better days.
As someone who has worked in IT and computing nearly my entire life, I've NEVER heard a hard drive make this sound. BUT I sure as shit do not doubt that this is within their vocal... range? Considering it's a 160GB HDD my guess is it's old as fuck and like died a long time ago.
Most likely because of actuator head crashing to the spinning plate inside the hard drive. It could be caused by external impacts such as falling or exposed to strong vibration for too long
Actually it does make a difference converting low quality samples to WAV -- quicker processing because it doesn't have to be deconpressed in realtime. Probably not a significant difference to non-potato users but my laptop gets constipated easily.
Real-time? Why would the sample get decompressed multiple times? It's a file format not a data type. I'm pretty sure (most) DAWs would simply keep the files loaded in memory for as long as the project is open right? Otherwise how would playback from HDD not cause excessive delay/lag?
As some who has worked in IT MY ENTIRE LIFE, nothing can top the moment my wife looked me in the eyes and started making broken HDD noises and then vanished into thin air
holy hell, that is sounding freaking sick so far, and to think, it's all thanks to a very sick WD blue hard drive that we now have the sickest house banger I've heard yet, keep it up Eliminate 😺.
first video I see from channel: is beat battle: is cool sample: channel owner makes sick song: participants make mostly memes but some sick songs too: I subscribe. very guut
Here's a tip for professional sound design: You know those attics that open up out of the ceiling? With the hatch? Open and close as many of them as you can, at different speeds, constant or changing speeds, maybe bang on it, but don't get carried away with that. Some of them have some craaazy springs, and if they're old, they can sound really gnarly. Usually a bunch of houses in the same street have them, it's hard to stay undetected doing this stuff so try it when they're at work.
Just got to see Eliminate at Lost Lands, then the next weekend got to see him at BassTrack! He came down to the rail and hung out with us after his set, it was amazing! ❤❤❤❤
12:40 was the moment the song program my brain to borrow a APC-40 mk1 to a friend to produce in my week of work in the north Canada. What have you f*cking do Eliminate? XD
It's funny that you mention imitating The Thinker at concerts, because no joke, that's pretty much what I do. It occurs to me that I've probably made some bands uncomfortable as hell by standing stock still, arms crossed, gazing intently while everyone else is jumping around. Sorry, guys! Didn't mean it! Just enjoying the music! 😅
I had a question about your new videos. I noticed that they all happen to be casual combat. Have you just completely transferred over to casual combat, or is it just taking a bit to get back to audio combat?
Sidechain, I'd probably spell it sxc, cause the x looks a bit like a chain link, the sc is short for sidechain, and accidentally it says ' sexy | sxc '
As someone who has worked in IT MY ENTIRE LIFE, an outline is a great way to start brainstorming about 160GB HDD. Here is a simple outline that I learned in my high school speech class that has never failed me:
Hi Nate, first off, thanks for making me laugh (multiple times in this video alone). Usually I chuckle but this one made me laugh (19:27). Also, Canada has Tim Tams over here, so come visit Drew or something and nab some. Thanks again ~BionicBlue
