@axiatrix believe it or not, Psyonix is still around. They unfortunately were just mainly focused on Rocket Racing. They say they are now back to focusing on making RL better. Epic bought Psyonix but didnt take over the game necessarily. Its essentially like Activision and IW, Treyarch and the other dev teams.

Suggestion: Have an arrow on the screen that always shows the current gravity direction (like how the ‘random’ said the effect in the top left). Because, while the confusion can be entertaining in the first game, it is very detrimental to the actual gameplay because you are spending 3-5 seconds figuring out the direction, then have only 5 more seconds of gameplay before it changes again. Another possible solution is to increase the time spent on each gravity setting, such as 30 seconds instead of 10.

I think it would be fun if there was some kind of indicator that let the players know what direction the gravity was in, so that they didn't need to guess. Like a signboard on each backboard that displayed an arrow pointing in the direction of the gravity. Watching players play around gravity that they can at least somewhat know what it is without guessing seems like a good improvement.

You should build a map where each wall (and the ceiling) are rocket league pitches with their own respective nets so that when gravity changes it just feels like the map rotated.

Between this and the "ball randomly shoots towards the goal" this gave me an idea that, as a non rocket league player nor modder, I don't know if it's possible, but it sounds funny: Is there a way to make the ball randomly shoot towards a random car? (Like the one where it shoots to goal, but it targets the cars) I don't know if that's possible with cars not being part of the map itself but objects, but it could be funny, as there could be moments where the ball shoots towards a car which is moving, and the person accidentally gets out of the way and lets a goal in or sth

Can you do this but the gravity can face any direction instead of just left, right, up, down, forwards, and backwards? Like just pick a number between 0 and 360 three times and point in that direction.

Idea for a variant: Gravity in the Y direction also, but proportional to the score differential. So like if Orange is up 2 points, there's a 20% pull toward Orange goal. You'd have to be careful not to have it apply too early, or it'll roll into goal before kickoff. Or just let that happen because it'd be hilarious.

Guys is there any way to punish an extremely toxic player? I just played a ranked 3s game where one of my teammates was intentionally idle for the first 3 minutes or so. My other teammate and I were winning the 3v2 3-0. He then decided to make a 4v2. We ended up in over time and ultimately lost, with him spamming what a save.

Day 1 of asking Leth to build a map(neo Tokyo esque field) where the goal is equal distance from the ceiling and ground, and the exterior of the field is Neo Tokyo with buildings meeting from above and below. The gravity should also reverse intermittently. idk, im a stupid RU-vid commenter

Have you tried "Rocket League with Penalties"? Bumps and Demos are fouls that lead to the player being put in penalty box for 5 seconds.

Thankfully Leth pointed out this was a repeated idea. I thought I remembered it cause it was a non-standard field but showed the direction of the gravity. Love seeing how different this one is cause I want to say that map was a lot smaller so this one spread out the play a lot more. By the way, an interesting twist on this would be to add movable boxes or something that could be affected by gravity (might have to create invisible walls for just those boxes so they don't bunch up) but would be an interesting twist if they could affect the ball.

Next you should let the gravity on normal but the map itself rotates slowly and faster with time or score. :P Or it tilts towards the team with higher score too so the other team has it more easy. ^^

imagine this mode but whenever the gravity changes directions, the car's camera rotates to keep the gravity downward on the screen. this would effectively spin the entire map relative to the player

I would love if the gravity could change direction in any random direction not just left right up down. In like 3d space any point of the wall could become gravity centerpoint...which gives me even better idea - there could be an invisible gravity point on the field spawning absolutely randomly anywhere. So if we gave example first kickoff gravity would be on left side center ball goes left you get pulled forward left all opponents aswell. When ball reaches wall it starts going back for the center of gravity. And it could change in random intervals and you could also mess with the strength. That would be absolute chaos and could lead to some really spicy shots
