U don't have to waste the cucumber skin peels & seeds. U can blend them into a smoothie & drink. This is plenty work Sha esp for large families buh tryable someday soon.

I think what the cucumber does in place of tomatoes is the work of thickener and I can’t imagine trying that with swallow nahhhhh! Nice piece by the way @ify

If you have need more quantity just add well ripened garden egg .you dont need fresh tomatoes . adding tin tomato is optional.if you want the stew red just add onga stew or spicecity .also add natural coloring like turmeric

I should try this, thanks for the insights. Can you use Pumpkin or squash to mske stew, its a versatile crop and quite economical to grow, stores well. I make it but it tastes basic, i trust you'd know how to make it more interesting

I have cooked the stew. For me, it is much tastier than tomatoes stew. I went for many rounds which i never do with rice. And I am a good cook and can make a tasty pot of tomatoes stew.

Nigerians, instead of fighting and protesting for a change and better country,we are the ones changing or japa..😅It's a bit harder work deseeding cucumber...lf you eat cucumber in stew l wonder what you will have for salad then?Tomatoes salad anyone.😅Most importantly, you wasted the healthiest part of the cucumber, the green part is the best part.And cucumber is water anyways,why add more water in the blender?Thanks.

Then use blended cayenne pepper (sombo) or tatashe (red bell pepper) as an alternative. The tomatoe paste is to give the stew a red colour. Or you can buy tomatoe paste from a good shop that sells original items/products.
