This video makes me feel ball deprived which is a feeling that's new to me.

I love the glass ball! In Brazil we have the myth of Saci-Pererê, a powerful "fairy" that will obey you if you steal his little cap and then capture him in a glass bottle. It's also a possible inspiration for whimsicott since both ride whirlwinds

I might sound like a crazy person, but I actually really like Solrock and Lunatone- I have a shiny Lunatone in a Moon Ball, but I've always felt a little unsure about what'd be a good fit for a shiny Solrock. So, your Sun Ball design would be absolutely perfect! Love the other designs too, especially the Copper Ball, and the Glass Ball! (I keep thinking about having a grass type mon in there like Torterra or something, it'd be like a terrarium!) Lastly, Shedinja should totally get their own pokeball! That'd be sick!

Fun fact: the love ball worked like the rainbow ball in gen 2, and it was originally planned to work like the Dino ball in that it caught Kurt’s favourite Pokémon better

The first thing I thought of with the glass ball was "Oh! Just like Link catching fairies in bottles!", which is great. With the nightmare ball, you could also apply the CRM to a pokemon currently being affected by the move Nightmare in addition to the dark type on the field.

that Luck Ball is actually really cool in concept, it'd be like weird flex to show your friends "I found a shiny!" "I found a Pokemon with a rare mark!" "Oh yeah? Well I caught a Pokemon with a Luck Ball" (and then your friends immediately bow down to you and your insane luck)

I wish a lot of these were real, but ngl, did laugh at the hate ball existing and then being followed up by the rainbow ball. I would have like. Exclusively Rainbow balls LMAO

a Pokeball that I’ve been thinking of for Years was a “Weather Ball”, that would have an increased Catch Rate if a Weather Effect is active. CRM would probably be the same as the Dusk Ball.

i love the exercise ball, but when i first saw it i imagined it bouncing off a primeape or something and it evolving into annihilape bc it got too angry 💀

I've always thought that the dusk ball having a better chance of catching Pokemon in the dark and the dive ball in water an interesting concept so i feel like there should be balls who catch Pokemon better if its a desert biome or a forest biome than any other biomes, for example: a desert/sand ball, a forest/wood ball, a mountain/cliff ball, etc. PS: my favorites are the half blue (i'm too lazy to skip back to find the word) half copper copper ball and the frozen ball because i love the appearance of the tera-crystal ball in tera raids, oh and the dino ball :)

I love the fully covered Rainbow Ball variant! Also the Sun Ball, and the Novice Ball. Love the design of the Hurt Ball, but the different effects are pretty funny. And i actually thought the Dino Ball was really cute too! Love that it can catch dinosaur resembled pokemon. Lastly, what was the red and blue N/S ball called? Love that one too. Not to mention that i also really like the reverse level ball

Here's a few I made: The Paradox Ball: Designed to look like Booster Energies, and has has 1X multiplier on anything that isn't a Paradox Pokemon, but 50% chance to catch a Paradox Pokemon, regardless of level, HP, or species. The Aura Ball: Has an Aura Flare on the top, and is all dark blue aside from the turquoise flare, and has a 5X multiplier on catching Pokemon with Aura Powers, not just Pokemon that can learn Aura Sphere, but also Pokemon like Pikachu (In a Cap or Partner) or Alolan Vulpix (in Lillie's Hat)

I just remembered that there's already a lightweight equivalent to the Heavy Ball... sort of. In Legends Arceus, Heavy Balls, rather than having an increased catch rate against heavy Pokémon, are just plain heavy, which leads into the counterpart that's the opposite, the Feather Ball. It'd probably work like a Lightweight Ball in the mainline games. Well, that or an Aero Ball.

Wow the designs of these are awesome!! And the hurt ball has an extra factor for nuzlockers which is that it would be so good for Pokémon with guts to automatically activate it rather than having to find a way to pre poison or burn for fights

I think the treasure ball fits psychic types better. Gold is linked to psychic abilites hence the Marsh Badge of Sabrina being golden or Golduck being able to learn psychic type moves. For a dragon ball, I'd imagine the bottom white, the top the same color as the type icon, with red fangs around the button. Or just make it a litteral Dragon Ball, nice and crystal orange. You could also create the Blue Ball, which can't catch pokémon.

And playing with the mechanics is a fun idea that spawned my own concepts. The Starter Ball: As the name implies, this Pokeball has a 3.0x CRM when used on starter Pokemon at any evolution line. Its colors match the regular red and white Pokeball, however, it also has a golden S above the button. It is only bought in the post-game after you beat the elite four to incentivize you to complete the Pokedex. But only the Starter Ball that houses your starter Pokemon changes after getting the badges; the more badges you get, the dirtier and more worn it becomes. (Like the badges in BDSP) The Single-Ball: It's not just for us single people out there, it has a 2.5x CRM when used on Pokemon with a single type, and a 1.0x CRM when used on dual-type Pokemon. (This not regarding the troublesome coding) I'd imagine the ball's color would match up with the type of Pokemon you catch; aquatic blue for water types, shocking yellow for electric types, etc. If the Pokemon caught evolves and has two types, the first type listed will prioritize over the second type (Alolan Raichu will stay yellow because it's an Electric-Psychic type). The Dual-ball: A direct counterpart to the Single-ball, this Pokeball has a 2.5x CRM when used on a Pokemon with dual types, and a 1.0x CRM when used on a single-type Pokemon. Again, not regarding the coding, the ball would have a black line down the middle to split the colors of the Pokemon's typing; blazing red and dirty brown for a fire-ground type, and so on and so forth. The Shining Ball: For the shiny-hunters in the community, this Pokeball has a 4.0x CRM when used on a shiny Pokemon, and a 1.0x CRM on non-shiny Pokemon. This Pokeball's color scheme would only use the shiny reflective metal sheen for the base, and the top would be Pikachu-yellow with shiny flakes and a white outline of a star above the button. This Pokeball also has a special release animation for the Pokemon; the ball opens and a bunch of stars pops out of the ground like sparklers before the Pokemon lands. I also wanted to do a reverse of the Quick-Ball, The Late-Ball, but then I realized that's what the Timer-ball does and the Late-ball would only be used as the VERY LAST Pokeball type you have in your bag. Good early game, trash late game.

Here are my Ideas: Thornball A Pokeball that damages the Opposing Pokemon by 1/16th of their Max HP if they break out. Purgatory Ball A Pokeball that burns the Opposing Pokemon if they break out. Great Ball Chance if the Opponent is burned. Shock Ball A Pokeball that paralyses the Opposing Pokemon if they break out. Great Ball Chance if the Opponent is paralysed. Nausea Ball A Pokeball that poisons the Opposing Pokemon if they break out. Great Ball Chance if the Opponent is poisoned. Shiver Ball A Pokeball that has a Chance of freezing the Opposing Pokemon if they break out. Ultra Ball Chance if the Opponent is frozen. Nap Ball A Pokeball that has a Chance of making the Opposing Pokemon drowzy if they break out. Ultra Ball Chance if the Opponent is frozen Toxic Ball A Pokeball that has a Chance of badly poisoning the Opposing Pokemon if they break out. Ultra Ball Chance if the Opponent is badly poisoned. Naranja Ball A Pokeball that is Version Exclusive to Pokemon Violet. If you join your Friends Adventure who plays Scarlet you can catch the Version Exclusives to Scarlet much easier with this Ball. Uva Ball A Pokeball that is Version Exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet. If you join your Friends Adventure who plays Violet you can catch the Version Exclusives to Violet much easier with this Ball. Fang Ball A Pokeball that has a Higher Chance of working if the Opposing Pokemon has any Stat Drops or if your Stats are raised. Bulk Ball A Pokeball that has a Higher Chance of working if the Opposing Pokemon has any of its Stats raised or if your Stats are dropped. Wild Ball A Pokeball that has a Higher Chance of working if thrown at the 4 Tapus or Alpha Pokemon. Blind Ball A Pokeball with no Special Capture Effects. Instead, the Blind Ball removes the Ability to see if your Moves are supereffective or not very effective in Battle. Cherish Ball (Function added) This Pokeball is guarrantued to capture a Pokemon if the Opposing Pokemon knows a Move that it doesnt normally learn. All Pokemon caught in the Cherish Ball will also be able to learn the Move Celebrate naturally. Needle Ball Higher Chance of catching a Pokemon if it has a Mark or a Ribbon. Strange Ball (Function added) Higher Chance or capturing your Pokemon if it isnt in the Regional Pokedex. Choice Ball Once you throw a Single Choice Ball you are locked into them and cant use any other Pokeballs. Choice Balls are like Permanent Quick Balls. Critical Ball This Pokeballs Critical Throw Chance mimics the Critical Hit Chance of your Pokemon.

The unworldlyball has a 3x on pokemon with pokemon that only special types and 4x on ghost types with no physical types + space like pokemon including ultra beasts. And doesn't work on pure physical type pokemon.

well I love many of the type related balls like moss ball, treasure ball, and the exercise ball. I also love the applications of thew various status balls for nuzlockes. these are all so cool, I've been starting to try and coordinate pokemon to a particular ball. I've become frustrated with how there haven't been new pokeballs in such a long time. gen 4 was the last time that we saw a new batch of pokeballs.

Ah, I've been hoping someone would take a crack at designing some new Pokeballs for quite awhile now. I get GF not wanting to go overboard, but the franchise is *way* overdue for some new additions. Well, new ones that are obtainable & usable in present-set games anyway. Sorry Strange Ball & the Hisuian ancestor balls. But anyway, I like really like your designs & color schemes and the theming & real world inspirations are also really clever! I never even considered transparent Pokeballs. So, um, I'm *clearly* especially fond of the Glass & Crystal Balls. The Wire Ball is on a whole different level though! Everything about that one is so perfect it gave me joy in like... a primal part of my brain? The same part where listening to Sade hits. Also, a lot of these would fit in really nicely with the way I've themed my fakemon region. 🤔

The Squalor ball I could actually see hardcore challenge players using when they don't want to let friendship make the game easier. There are people who will ban friendship mechanics in their hardcore nuzlockes just for the extra challenge, so that would actually be perfect for them
