As italian i ate a pizza with the crust filled with sausage (italian sausage is probably very different from the USA one) and it was AMAZING. You are not making italians angry Guga, you are allowing us to share our culture and tastes with you all. THANKS

alright guga. sorry not sorry to say you arent the first. but, from an italian over here, we use some kind of sausage (italian sausage that is similar to a salame tho) and ricotta as stuffed ingredients for neapolitan pizzas here. you are safe this time. you should try that one, you might feel in heaven!

pizza hut is great although, you can get way better pizzas here in Brazil for cheaper, pizza hut and also domino's are really expensive here for some reason we don't have little ceasars, yet, but I guess it would be just expensive as pizza hut and domino's

@@DejiDigital You can't just ignore the degradation in quality over the years. They objectively tasted better in the 80's and 90's because they prepared dough onsite, which they don't do anymore.

One of my jobs was for a bar and grill that did fresh pizza. It was my job to make the sauce as prep cook. We used a big can of stewed tomatoes, and added 2 table spoons of garlic puree, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Then we used an immersion blender to mix it all together. It's still the best sauce in my opinion.

As someone who used to work at Pizza Hut the stuffed crust is the hand tossed dough, it gets taken out of the box and placed on a pan and sprayed with proofing spray, then it's covered and placed in the walk in over night, it's then stretched over the sides of the pan and has cheese sticks placed on the out side and covered and crimped, pizza hut i know all your secrets.

I worked in a Pizza Hut as well, what it "proofing spray"? We had the spray cans of oil that we lubed up the thin pizza pans with and the big old jug of oil we glugged into the thick pans for pan pizza. What's "proofing spray"? I kinda think that was maybe just canned oil.

It's because the bread will absorb all the oil and fats of the meaty ingredients in it. So instead of these fats getting lost when grilled or cooked on a open flame, it's sealed in the dough. A sandwich already has them cooked separately then combined after it is cooled, so the meat already lost it's water and fat content from cooking.

For the filling you could try doing Monterey Jack instead of the Mozzarella, it is similar in feel and taste to a low moisture mozzarella but has more pronounced tang flavor.

In Italy you'd mostly only two types of filled crusts though: either with ricotta (very common) or with italian sausage (less common). However, I'd recommend that you try it on some different kind of pizza without tomato; filled crust is a thing in italy but it's more common to have it on non-margherita pizzas.

I love your idea! They both looked perfect. I'm Australian & I have also done the stuffed crust with meat & cheese, I used ground beef, cheese & finely diced pickled jalapenos, it's the same mixture I use for stuffed bull horn peppers & sometimes I combine seasoned pork sausage, minced prawn/shrimp cheese & jalapeno to mix it up, always a hit. Love your work, and it's always a joy to see guys enjoying their food.

Guga, gotta up this and stuff the entire pizza (not just the crust) with steak. Think about it, pizza dough on the bottom, a pounded steak in the middle, then more pizza dough on top + your typical pizza toppings.

Actually that is an awesome idea! Definitely continue this alteration of classic dishes. Polish pierogi with that kind of steak/cream cheese filling would be delicious too!

Guga, love your vids! You and the whole crew are awesome! I've made stuffed crust pizza before just because someone mentioned it but it's not my jam. I really like the taste of my pizza dough "as-is" so I don't feel the need to modify it. For the meat I'd just put it as a topping rather than stuffing the crust.

Try put tomato sauce into the crust, you need to reduce the sauce quite a bit before doing it :P It's absolutely amazing.

Tried this experiment decades ago while I was working in Little Caesars. It tastes great with the cheese strings&Italian Sausage while the Ground Beef tasted bland. Helps if you add the garlic butter. Bit expensive as an ingredient compared to other stuff crust pizzas so it wasn't even considered to be put as a secret menu item.

This is a great idea. But I'm not so sure if large corporate pizza chains should try adopting it. Too expensive and time-consuming for their workers to make. They'd prob switch out the steak with pink slime ground beef and take a bunch of other shortcuts to make the pizza cheaper/streamlined, but also significantly heavier and grosser.

Steak stuffed pizza is a great idea because the problem with pizza is its not filling since it's just bread essentially. You need the meat to actually satisfy your hunger

I've actually done this after a friend challenged me to fuse burgers and pizza. I made beef kafta, seared it, wrapped it in cheese, then used it as the filling for the crust with it. If you ever do a fast food fusion or a "will it stuff pizza crust?" video, try this.

Theres something special about the stuffed crust crust that makes it better than all the other crusts. It also makes the best leftovers. If they used that crust for all their pizzas they would be the best to me.

Maybe it's more common over in Europe but certainly in the UK we have meat/ground beef/hotdog stuffed crust etc. Although Waygu steak stuffed crust sounds awesome 😋

Great video. Maybe an advice: get rid of the semolina that sticks on the bottom of the pizza before you launch it into the oven. You'll have less of a burnt flavor. Cheers

Pizza Hut was one ofmy first jobs, even tho it was crappy, I still felt I had to do a good job. I had ppl specifically ask for me to make their pizzas and they tipped me. Even my co workers asked me to make theirs. It was nice

75% of my Pizza Hut appreciation is nostalgia-based. That being said, even though I've got my homemade pizza game down, and have access to far superior pizza restaurants in my locale; once or twice a year I need a Pizza Hut pan pizza. I can only smash two or three slices anymore, but it's part of my DNA.

I'm wondering how the steak and cheese crust would do with ground I round, the cheese should compensate for any lack of fat in the meat and so long as it is ground up finely the toughness shouldn't be an issue.

Guga back when I was a kid it was a family oriented restaurant that had a buffet and all you could eat and it was a way better product than it is now, we would go there once or twice a month and in my teens I could eat an entire pizza by myself but now I’m lucky to get 2 slices down and that’s just eating the top because I’m keto. I love your show though even though everyone of you side dishes are loaded with carbs and I do love my potatoes but haven’t had them in about 4 months now and I have lost 50 pounds
