I was actually kinda surprised he didn't mention that mod lol Whenever anyone thinks of survival Skyrim, that mod almost always comes up in discussion. But it's so refreshing he made a mod list that was not the norm, I'm definitely gonna try these survival mods out

Like Heavy Burns said in another comment, it wouldn't make sense with the Chanterelle mod, since it takes place in a temperate, verdant forest environment. Frostfall makes sense in Skyrim's biomes since everyone in game is always talking about how brutally cold it is all the time, and we can also see that in the level design and environment.

But skyrim is a cold, harsh place as is so often described of it. So, yeah, makes sense that frostfall be included in your survival build.

Frost fall is great but is just a lil unnecessary for this list as there is almost no snow in Chanterelle, ofc can still add if you like but i just thought it felt a little out of place here. Also the SSE version still kinda buggy :)

@@HeavyBurns yeahr but for the rest of Skyrim is this the necesssaryst of all for Survival-Imersion. I mean "The Land of Ice&Snow that have maked the Nord that Hard aka The Land of the Nord" but... whitout-Could-Damage? This is like editing the Radioaktivity out of Chernobel.

@@carno.5911 Maybe if Frostfall was functioning on SSE, and still being updated... Chesko's seemingly left the Internet after he made Campfire for Skyrim VR. So yeah, Frostfall is more work than worth, easier to fix Bethesda's Survival Mode than Frostfall.

Did a playthrough in 2020 where I played with iNeed and the end of the world mod, the one where you set a certain amount of in game days till Alduin does as he says, and eats the world. The need for sleep brings down the time and I had some Dark Souls mechanics added as well.

Chanterelle seems really great for when you've already played this game for hundreds of hours and need more skyrim. Video amazing as always. Continue the good work my dude.

A half year ago I spent 2 realtime days in Chanterelle, playing as author advised: starting with absolutely nothing. It was very intense experience especially with Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases mods. Didn't know about this extension you are mentioning. Thank you.

Personally I'd recommend Sunhelm over INeed. It's a bit lighter on heavily modded games, and has a lot of the same functionality as INeed with customization being a bit easier as well.

Amazing video dude, it's clear how much effort you put into your videos and it's truly inspiring. Never heard of Chanterelle in my life so thanks for the hot tip! In the spirit of this video, for immersion, I'd recommend FIve O Clock Shadow, it's out for both LE and SE and it basically adds dynamic beard growth like The Witcher 3 or Red Dead 2. Cheers!

Another good mod for this one would be the unpaused game menus so that way the game continues to play while in your inventory/spells menu. No more pausing in combat to eat every cheese wheel lol. Awesome video

Those shacks can be really immersive. They could be hunters home away from home or travellers shelters on their travels. No one need to actually need to own them as long as you doesn't damage the hut and make sure that the pile of firewood are replenished.

Could you do a AC one. I feel it would be cool to have parkour aspects in the game like a wall jump. The sneak tools mod was the closest I got to a parkour like experience using the rope arrows. Keep up the good work.

Scandinavian Seasons Extended + Scandinavian Seasons ENB. Nothing beats that. Scandinavian Seasons Extended has the most comprehensive cloud system of ANY skyrim mod. It's basically rdr2 cloud and storm system in skyrim.

You guys really should take a look at "Campsite". It is basically Campfire but more vanilla, less scripts, no levels but multiple kinds of tents (e.g. sleeping tents, storage tents or one where you can chop wood). And it is more up to date (from 2019). Also "Frostbite" instead of "Frostfall", and "Vitality mode" instead of "Ineed". They tend to be more up-to-date and less script heavy.

For anyone having issues with iNeed and Frostfall I'd recommend Vitality Mode and Frostbite, they are very lightweight and have less compatibility issues on heavily modded games.

Imagine a mod that has you die, save where you progressed in the quests then lets you create a new character in the same world but with reset relationships and quests where applicable. This way you can continue as a player inside your own player worlds story

Woodcutter: As the name suggests, the main part of this mod allows you to cut down any vanilla tree (as well as some modded ones) in the game, it also enables you to build a vast number of things from furniture, camping tents, and even structures. Love your videos man, chanterelle and death is highly overrated look really interesting, looking forward to giving them a shot! An alternative to Loot and Degradation Overhaul is Equipment Durability System, I ended up switching to it recently as it had fewer issues for me. The ads are a bit much IMO, between the RU-vid ads and your sponsorship I ended up spending ~4 minutes watching ads for ~10 minutes of content. I can't blame you as it seems this is the way RU-vid is youtube is going but I wanted to share my feedback on the topic.

For anyone else who comes across this video and has problems with INeed for SE, I highly recommend Sunhelm. It's a mod that has a lot of the same features and is still being updated.

I don't know if the buildings will sync but all these mods should work with skyrim together. If the buildings do sync however you could in theory have a full on survival server.

So tried out this mods for a couple of hours.. the hearth craft stuff seems impossible to build since there doesn’t seem to be any lumber mill in the whole map of Chanterelle and you required sawn logs for all buildings . Also the buildable shack needs a kit that you can’t get inside the world of Chanterelle so I’m not really sure how to make this one work either. Please let me know if I’m missing sometjkng
