Oh Captain Benzie Mah Benzie, I have come to inform you of the Cost of the Industrial Module Blueprint (Mainly the red one). Based on my personal experience. I know you do not deal with equipments, But...this may prove to add a little light to a...small portion on how much this Ship can cost with proper fittings (Particularly, the Module itself). This bad boy is a beast of a piece to try to build. The Ore Data Compiler: 160 units, Amarr Device Construction Unit: 59,459, Caldari Device Construction Unit: 59,459, Minmatar Device Construction Unit: 59,459, Gallente Device Construction Unit: 59,459, X-Large Device Improvement Medium: 576, and the X-Large Device Compilation Optimization Medium: 231. Having 5/5/5 skills and 13 Reverse Process Decryptors with having a 4% Success rate from Corp station boost. It will bring it up to 80% total success rate. At the time, it costed me about 60 Billion Isk....ish...it was a bit more, but i rounded to the lowest number instead. Given the prices of these mats have been fluctuating like mad. Unfortunately, when I my final stages of making the blueprint, i needed to move some skills around (also had to spend plex to get Lazerus and skill points. I was talking to a corpmate and ended up hitting the cook button before i realized it. Leaving me at 76% at 5/5/4...I was sweating bullets, but at the end...it failed. the loss of this BP production was over $750 USD. This device alone has costed more than the Rorqual itself, even with Decryptors to increase the success chance on making the BP for it and the decryptors to speed up the time for building it. Which the Rorqual from debris to BP to Hull was about 62b total. Given the event, I was lucky enough to get the chests that had a slightly increased Plex amount for Aur. so I was lucky on that part, but not in the Carrier Lottery or the Nanocore box for the top 20. I'm currently working on building up the isk again to try my luck and hopefully get that Module BP, other members wants me to get the blue one, but i need to focus on building up my isk back for the over 120b for this Rorqual with its current fittings (missing 2 drones, 1 Cap Defense Rig and the Module itself). If you can, I would like to hear you make a clip about the process of building the rorqual from the ground up with normal fittings (not integrated).
Appreciate the update. And big props for making a follow up video admitting to what was wrong and ensuring everyone got the corrected information. Mad respect for that. And great seeing it in action, can't wait to have one eventually.
Thank you. That was a great video. I appreciate very much the demonstration, as well as clearing up the blue core range issue. In your defense it was not clear what all the range attribute effected. Also your video Answered some questions I had, mostly about how the heavy exhumer drones operate.
Thanks for showing this of :) Small details matter for miners. For example that it produces Rich ore and not Compressed ore. Still nice. Also station compression will not be replaced as it is more dense. Love it when design makes sense :)
Not replaced at all, but sidestepped for the purpose of keeping ships in the field for longer. And as we miners know, the process of warping and dropping is where loss in profit happens. If jetcans could hold more than 5k m3, then haulers would be a more useful fixture
When you do general mining in orca you will get more ore yes but when you cherry-pick with it you can get about 30% higher isk than a cov2 while mining less m3 ore
I don't know of anyone though about this but with that compressing the ore that basically means that that 500.000m3 ore hold is actually 5million m3 because one of the cubes is 10 regular. Not even factoring in a fleet all within 45m just assume whatever you have in that fleet will have its ore hold basically multiplied by 10
I think it looks more like Rorqual enrich ores, rather than compress them, since we get rich ores as output (just play with words a bit, don't think deep about it). Anyway, jokes aside, after watching this video I got a questions: can we turn rich ores into compressed? Even if it is possible, wouldn't Rorqual's ability make ore compression even more useless? Currently, there's almost no need in ability to carry large amounts of ore across the New Eden, since ore market is almost dead, and all industrial processes usually run on same station (which often located in same system that ore was gathered at). But, even if such rare case will occur, I think that Rorqual's ability (which far cheaper than original compression) will be more then enough. It makes ability to compress ores in POS completely useless in my opinion. Devs definitely should do something about this situation. Like improvement of mining missions to allow us directly turn ores into ISK by bringing them into low/high sec systems. Or new gigantic ore belts/fields, which should spawn in random systems across each region from time to time. Hope they'll fix it ASAP. Thank you for covering everything you accidentally skipped in previous video.
Cool 😎. We all make mistakes. Big of you to admit and correct them. And as I said after the other video, the only fair verdict on this gargantuan is "freaking awesome" 😎. There's a lot that *could* be said about possible impact on the ore market down the line. But let's see how they work out in the very long term. For now, it's just great to see another sign of EO coming of age.
Hey Benzie, are you sure about the most effective rug setup? SWEET gives me different numbers. 3x circulation rigs are better, probably because exhumer circulation rigs are stronger than standrad mining drone circulation rigs.
Cap , Now i don't know if im the 1st one to say this but............do a ratting guide with Rorqual because that dps is more then the rattlesnake and dominix 2 which is saying something. Awesome video as always
Dear Cpt. Benzie. Grateful for this video. Any idea if Ore Compression is a necessary skill for the Rorq? Or is is automatic? Does ore compression buff the hold something like that? Or.. where is the best place to look for skill trees for specific ships like this one?
Knowing how those drones operate in open space is a big deal when planning on how to react to incoming threats. Most good miners have a standing order of operation on what they do depending on the intel they have. I noticed you used large drones just curious if Medium and smalls fit into the tubs, I'm assuming so, but we all know what that does
Okay I thought that was just about as big as a battle cruiser but once I realized it was a dreadnought I was like it looked so much smaller while it was inside one has to wonder though how do they get it outside if it's that big the opening in the background doesn't look like it big enough
So if i understand this correctly the rorqual doesn’t give any bonus to other ship even for mining drone, the only bonus is for compression ore, sorry i am French and sometimes hard to understand, thanks
so a true fleet still needs orca pilots for buffs and Rourqual for rock squishing. good to know. i now understand that i will not be needing one. #Orca4life!
The question now is.... how on earth we gonna blow that monster up ? Especially with let's say 2-3 orca and covII in field too. It gonna take a massive effort to pop those mining ships. Hmmmm gonna have to search belt after belt in a high dps battleship lol 😆
Oh my! ❤️ You got 50 bil I can have? 🤣 Question...can it use Warden's? Wonder what that DPS would be like... So how much more would you have to mine to make your money back on the purchase? 🤔
This will always be the sound of the Rorqual making the change for me. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vSC8Gkaxm2o.html Side note. Can you activate the jump drive while transformed? I know that you can not warp, but I am wondering if that restriction effects the jump drive as well.
