...true, but what if they were involved in some sort of Human Hybrid genetic chimera experiment or were from another dimmension where sealife had a sentience that matched human intellect and a modicum of their physiology? Eh? What then unbelievers!? Apostates! I digress...yeah sure, a kitchen sink sponge and a squishy star-shaped echinoderm. I getcha.
I could honestly see these two in the actual show. Like Squidward is talking to another character about how terrible Spongebob and Patrick are and goes “I mean, seriously, just look at them!” And then these two just appear on screen.
Another beautiful mistake is the fact that spongebob’s tie after being glued back together made this stitched like texture in between the seems. I think this adds way more character to Bob, like if he had that tie for years, which technically is true
I think the funniest thing about this video is the fact that he’s constantly reminding everyone that he’s trying to make them not scary but friendly and inviting, but the thumbnail itself had my at the other side of the room almost instantly
"i don't want to make them look horrifying" *proceeds to make them look horrifying* amazing work as always, love seeing what your mind comes up with for these realistic sculpts!
"If your worried about drilling to far, put your finger on the other side, that way you know you've gone to far when it hurts". The best advice I've ever heard, as a mechanic I'm going to use that now! 🤣🤣
I feel like Pearl and Mr. Krabs could also be quite horrifying in this style. A massive deformed whale and a crab that's more eyes than anything. Either way, great video as always! Love to see the realistic approach, even if it is a bit horrifying as well.
Early Patrick looks like Oogie Boogie and Spongeless Squarepants look like the Wrong Trousers from Wallace and Gromit. Truly, so many wonderful clay-camios!
Love how you’re not afraid to get weird on this channel. While I still think Toad was the most terrifying, these two are definitely up there. Nice work!!
I love how he wanted to make them friendly and ended up making these creatures that would turn the hearts and minds of everyone. Good job though nice work as always.
This is by far my favourite realistic sculpt that you've done so far; those teeth had me rolling with laughter 😂 it reminds me of the tired-Spongebob close-up that they do in the show, but he's had some coffee and made an effort to shave.
dude this guy makes me want to try and do something like this in the future... just sculpting random stuff with various tools sounds so fun... also 5:33 the roller impressed me a lot, thats hilarious
The audio at the end sounds like he’s talking in a closet across the house. You can hear something, but just barely. This proves I watched till the end of the video at least.
I had just started to do dishes, and now suddenly my household sponge is terrifying. I'm imagining teeth just coming out. 😱 Great build as always!! Loving this series!!!
I don't know what part is more cursed, the teeth or the fact that Spongebob's arms aren't connected to his shirt.... The teeth, definitely the teeth. Good job 💖
The way patrick and spongebob look older like they’re actually aging and tired makes SpongeBob make more sense since… the shows like how many years old. 😭
Um actually...these are still horrifying (in a good way). Mr Krabs and Squidward would look fantastic like this. Patrick definitely looks like a naked Bumble. Great job. Btw the ending is super quiet compare to the music
11:13 *''WHAT DID YA SSSAY THERE SSSONNY? YOU GOT A NEW APRON U WANNA THANK? I....I CAN'T HEAR YOU OVER THAT BIKINI BOTTOM BASSLINE, YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO* *_SSSPEAK UP SSON!''_*
ahah yeah- i was thinking the same thing. They both are great on their own; but it would have been nice to have patrick leaning a bit more to the side and waving with the other hand so their poses feel cohesive together. but overall enjoyed watching the whole process. Was especially impressed with the roller you made- it's like making a brush in photoshop but in real life.
Spongebob eyeballs and teeth are looking creepy and terrifying but amazing. I hope you could make Mr Krabs, he would look nice while he's holding a bag of dollars $$.
In the "SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" in the Shell City scene, it reveals how they would be. Just normal objects/animals with clothes. SpongeBob a Sponge and Patrick an Starfish. Incredible job on these, by the way! I loved your artstyle!
Adam: most realistic interpretations are spooky, I want mine to look inviting and friendly! Also Adam: *literally makes my sleep paralysis demons* I know that’s probably the joke lol
I love this. I will never sleep again, so thank you. Also slightly disappointed we didn't get a whole Adam-style "spongebooty" mini segment when sculpting that bubble butt.
I'd like to believe the drowned out audio in the outro is caused by you getting slowly dragged away from the mic and into the depths by your wonderfully horrifying creations
The pro tip about the drill bit made me laugh way too damn hard. 🤣 How crazy is it that I've been watching a lot of SpongeBob lately, because there's nothing good on TV lmao. And who doesn't like SpongeBob.
My brain cannot decide if this sculpture is genius or terrifying 😅 Amazing work in both cases ! The trick of sculpting a tool to do the starfish texture is genius 😍🤯
New sub! Loved your Minions video, wanted to see more. At one point in one of the shots of Patrick he looked like Oogie Boogie from The Nightmare Before Christmas, then thought some of those characters would be amazing for you to "realistic-alise" or make extra horrifying. You could have Jack Skellington with little still-attached lumps of muscle and skin on his bones, parts of fingers and toes, ragged, dirty clothes, etc... You could make Sally but all the patches are flaps of skin with bloody seams and stitches. Lots of possibilities!
Love watching these videos on my break! do I look crazy laughing and at a grown man making creepy versions of classic childhood cartoon characters? maybe. but it fills my heart with joy 😂💖
Watching all of the videos must've rubbed off on me since I was able to sculpt a character for the first time with some success! Thanks for always putting out great videos 👍
I adore how they’re both so welcoming but off putting. It’s as if they either don’t realise how freaky they are or they’re actively trying to appear less freaky and the fact that if it’s the latter, makes you realise that they could be doing so out of genuine kindness or they’re just trying to lure you in for some horrible purpose makes this sculpt all the better. Also, with the way Patrick’s teeth are placed, it looks like if he were to clench them together or even have a closed-teeth-open-lipped-smile his teeth would fit together like the.. well the teeth of a set of cogs and/or gears
Adam, I just came here to say that your videos have vastly improved over your RU-vid time. Not that they were ever bad! But your presentation and editing has undergone a stunning transformation since you started. Obviously your tiny nerdy things are great as well, but, just wanted to mention the video thing.
I've been binge watching his channel lately and I have to say that his confidence rose up and it shows! He makes much more jokes and he's not just not talking about his process, which is a nice balance he's onto now.
This is great, only Spongebob is missing his iconic eyelashes..How about sticking to the realistic theme and applying those long fake eyelashes some girls wear?👀 that will bring some great nightmares
Hey! You've inspired me to finally get into model sculpting, I have a lot of monster designs rolling around in this head of mine and I finally said enough is enough and decided to sculpt them. That being said, I have no tools, brushes, or clay to work with at the moment and was hoping you'd have some tips for a beginner trying to get into the hobby? Like some good starter tools, clay and tips for generally getting sculpts to be not just good, but good enough.
Cool result but... I think you realize that any realistic style Patrick and Spongebob will still lean towards horror, regardless of authorial intent ... hehehe, anyway keep up the great job!
I really like your videos! For stuff like the muscles or some kinds of skin did you ever try to use the translucent clay? Maybe this way you can get some so called subsruface scattering. I come from 3D design and there SSS is always a very good thing to add to sell organic materials. Just an idea that came to my mind... keep up the nice designs! :)
I'm not a big fan of the realistic style but as always you've done a fantastic job. Just so you're aware, your voice over at the end card when you're doing the glamour shot is significantly quieter than the music so it's a little difficult to hear you.
I think people lean towards horror in realistic cartoon characters because when you try and make a cartoon design realistic, even if you don't intend to make it horrifying, it ends up happening anyways. Case in point, this video.
What confuses me is that the arms are connected to the head, which means that the sleeves are connected to the head and not the shirt...What were the animators thinking? Awesome and amazing work! I absolutely love it!
As someone who has pretty severe trypophobia, the texture rollers really give these videos a lil extra ✨spice✨ Never know when I'm gonna get jumpscared by the evil texture rollers 🤢
After 11,619 episodes, sponge bob and patrick have resorted to copious amounts of m3th and and adderall to keep smiling while recording their windowless van trips the playground for content.
