i got curious so i decided to do the math (shoutout to the sdv wiki for having all of the information i needed) each friendship heart is 250 friendship points. to get to ten hearts requires a total of 2500. talking to an npc will increase their friendship level by 20 points, unless they are in the middle of a special animation (eg. haley using her camera) in which case it will only increase by 10 points. also, giving the bouquet increases friendship by 25 points, so you technically can't get up to 10 hearts with talking being the only way of increasing friendship, but it's close enough. assuming you: - talk to the villager every single day to prevent decay, - only talk to them when they are not in the middle of a special animation, - skip all of their heart events to avoid gaining or losing friendship points from them, and - avoid anything that gains or loses friendship points with all villagers (eg. putting something in the soup at the luau, completing the bulletin board), it would take (2500-25)/20 or 123.75 days to get to 10 hearts with a marriage candidate. in other words, if you started talking to that villager on spring 1st of year one, you'd reach 10 hearts on spring 12th of year two. if for some godforsaken reason you wanted to do this, id suggest alex. his house opens the earliest of all the marriage candidates at 8am, and he leaves his room at 8am every day except for in winter (but by the time winter rolls around, you'd have more than 2 hearts and just be able to enter his room at 8am anyways before he leaves at 9am)

@@Lemony123 Not pigs, because the product doesn't actually come from them. They dig up truffles under the dirt, they don't produce them. All the eggs, feathers, rabbit's feet, milk, and wool you get from the other animals actually comes FROM the animal itself, hence counting towards farming

I had no idea about the common mushrooms for fall seeds!! I have a few hundred of them laying around on my oldest save because I opted for the mushroom cave back then and eventually got tired of making decisions about them. Thanks for mentioning it, I'm gonna turn those suckers into tea saplings

how strict were you with the only foraging rules, did you allow yourself to make wild seeds, replant them and then forage what you sowed, or did you go hardcore and only allowed yourself to forage what grew around the map? And did you upgrade your axe in order to make cutting wood easier? Sounds like a fun challenge, good luck with the fishing year :)

@@flusendieb6833 I did allow myself wild seeds but not the ones from the cc. The wood was definitely the hardest part. No upgrades because I didn't have any ore. I'm in summer of my fishing year now. It's interesting.

burning down the hatmouses house would be a terrible idea if you want to make money by robbing it - once it's burned down the hatmouse won't be able to make any more money, thus making it impossible to rob more than once. Threatening to burn down the house for a kind of protection racket on the other hand might just work xD

What did you do about the golden walnuts and ginger island field office items that are found through using the hoe, fishing rod and axe? And how about catching all the fish? Even if you can obtain some fish without actually fishing, I didn't think they counted on the fish tab until you caught them with a rod or crab pot.

@@hannahthetford5952 I think you can enchant the tools to not use energy, and until then you can probably use bombs for mining and woodcutting and even hoeing, but how you even get to ginger island in order to do that to the fishing rod I can't fathom either

I've done a CC run without using tools apart from fishing rod, weapons and golden scythe before so I'm familiar with using bombs for mining and tilling, but I didn't realise you could enchant tools to avoid using energy. I assume you'd either need to go the Joja route to get to ginger island or get the fish tank fish from trash cans, Krobus and the traveling cart (I haven't checked if you can get all the required fish this way, so Joja might be the only option). For the hardwood needed to repair the boat you would either have to get it from crates and barrels in the mines or possibly from bombing trees with whichever profession allows hardwood to drop from normal trees.

@@hannahthetford5952 lol, I hadn't even realised that finishing the fishtank is what gives you acces to Ginger Island, so yeah, the challenge is definitel possible (minus the entrance to the volcano) as long as you spend enough Prismatic Shards to get the Efficient enchantment on all your tools (I thought you had to actually catch "all" fish for Willy to ask for your help, because my first file that made it to true perfection I had already 100%ed before the update came along, so all the fish were caught and I never made the connection with the CC bundles - although I was slightly confused when I got a second farm towards true perfection and Willy asked for my help before I'd caught all the legendary fish. But since I had caught literally every other fish at that point I just assumed that the legendaries didn't count towards the goal xD)

CA patched getting in when npcs open the door, now the trigger is entering the tile instead of opening the door

I’ve discovered that it’s profitable to sell iridium quality spring and fall forage. Summer forage is always profitable to make into seeds, and winter seeds are never profitable, no matter what quality.
