That´s very cool, what size foam dowels were you using by the way? Top seemed to be 20 mm but other details seemed smaller
@cosplayshopyt
@cosplayshopyt 6 месяцев назад
indeed some 20mm half rounds! But also some 5mm half rounds. It's possible I used another one as well in the moment but 5mm was used a lot. for the point i used 40mm round one

I was planning to make this went to my local hardware shop and bought 2 squares of 5cm foam…I misread that and now I feel kinda dumb

For priming is it okay to just use plastic dip? Also does using a spray stealer make it more crackable?
@cosplayshopyt
@cosplayshopyt 7 месяцев назад
plasti dip is fine, just a bit less shiny! it also won't really crack since the axe doesn't move. But plasti dip in general works fine for armors too

I am thinking about making a spear. I am new to this so I was wondering if you had a video that explained what you are doing at 2:04. It looks like you are using a smaller pole to attach the the head, covering it with foam, then sliding another pole on top of that.

Yes! So there's a fiberglass rod that comes out of the axe head. This would be too thin to fit in a pvc pipe, so I add two foam dowels around it. I make them hollow with a dremel so that the fiberglass would fit. This makes the whole thing a bit bigger and makes it fit perfectly in a pvc pipe

@cosplayshopyt
@cosplayshopyt 4 месяца назад
Made the whole thing in about 5-7 days! longest part was making the round bits that go in the middle of the axe.
