I was as HONEST as I could be based on my experiences and data for this and it is in my opinion the BEST Arena Tier List for WotLK PvP.

A Tier - Restoration Druid:
Dire Bear Form, Cyclone, Entangling Roots, Innervate, Barkskin, Charge in cat/bear form, bash in bear form, healing without line of sight. Some of the strongest heals when fully stacked with hots - but weak against hard switches to targets without hots.
S Tier - Feral Druid:
Instant Cast Cyclone with Predatory Strikes, Entangling Roots, Innervate, Barkskin, Travel Form, Infected Wounds, Berserk (Immune to fear), Charge in cat/bear form, Bash
A Tier - Affliction Warlock:
Fear, Teleport, Howl of Terror, Spell Lock, Seduce, lots of damage over time, and much more damage than before.
A Tier - Destruction Warlock:
Fear, Teleport, Howl of Terror, Shadowfury, Chaos Bolt goes through absorption, Nether Protection (30% chance to reduce that school of magic damage by 30%), Molten Skin (6% reduced), Spell Lock, Seduce

ele is better then enh in most of Wrath anyhow for PvP. Ele, S. For PvP. Enh A at max. Some even say that ele shams are in their own S+ tier with enh only being at A and only for part of Wrath. S8 pally was better than any other season for pally in WoW. This fella here is mostly right about his stuff. Almost impossible to make every class and every spec of every class done right without making some mistakes. You can even off heals in raids in ele spec without even switching gear if you are ele resto. You cannot do that as ele enhance or as enh rest.

I'm struggling to take this list all that serious, since you clearly have heavy bias against your own class, based on the counters to that class, which is extremely unfair. Saying HPal isn't S tier because it can get countered by RMP is just personal bias. The same goes for Ret Pala being bad because they can get mana burned by Disc Priest specifically. Ironically, you point out the fact that Feral is extremely strong, partly because they cannot get polymorphed. As a Frost Mage, I can use your logic and say that Frost Mage is A tier and not S tier, because we can't poly Ferals, one of the strongest melee specs in the game. Every class and spec has counters, and of course you know this, since you have been quite high rating, I just have to call out this bias, which is just not fair to the other classes.

i have to disagree with something here. Hpala is S tier for sure. If you are playing it right, this beast never goes oom and can heal during heavy pressure. Also as a plate character he has really good times against melee characters, and really heavy defensive kit. Enh shaman b tier is a mistake here too. In a wrong hands enh can be really bad, but oh boy if it's being played well it can be devastating. Enh shaman has high skillcap, but his kit is fantastic. You got instant heals, endless mana, grounding, distant interrupt, useful totems, high mobility with spirit wolves, and not forget huge burst and sustain damage. If played well, this can easily be A+ or even S- tier.

enhance always has been squishy it has never been an arena spec, it has no reliable cc or burst unlike Ele. Ele is S tier definitely. this guy is just clueless, making a list based on 12y old memories.

No. Ret is only pally spec at S tier and only when specced right. Holy only pops into S tier when it is heavy into ret spec as well. Holy is no where near being an S tier. The divine storm of wotlk. That is what it is. Mages dont pick up again until Cata prepatch. Your Hpal will go oom in an arena with a good team that can drain you. Then you are a wet noodle.

holy pala gets pissed on by disco priest. you cannot escape mana burns endlessly, you will run OOM. i have 1000+ rated arena matches played and i can tell you a good disco priest is hell for holy paladin. offensive dispells, good fear cc, not running oom. your only change is a brute warrior putting extreme pressure on him.

I don't make videos and a few days and week people talk about wotlk and I see many many videos but none of them make any sense. they just say 2+2=4 they don't fell it they just judge the class by the cover of it but u make nice and amazing judgment of it. I play for 2full years in PVP wotlk and step by step from your video I feel it I touch it. no one plays holy paladin, and now u see a lot of videos that say holy paladin is OP and that class is OP. I just want to say they are streamers & youtubers and just make videos but your work is the real experience of PVP in WotLK tnx for that

Yes its so nice but i play shaman at since orig Vanilla ago but i just stay with my 1 shaman but if anybdoys ask me 17 year exp i never start Shaman again. Shaman is awesome but in Classis or Retail if you wanan paly melee shaman u find better if YOu wanna paly ranged dps You find better if You be healer another healer do it same but with 90% bottom. If You are masohist You choose Shaman. If you wanna enjeyo the game and make fun You choose Mage for ranged dps / Warrior,Dk,Druid / healer priest or druid or pala .. And i told this with 15 years odla shaman charater. cause i have alt and i can make same dmg with ym mage like a ele but elss bottom, my dk make smae dps like a enche but less bottom and medness, and my priest can easy make same heal like a shaman but less bottom and ssame heal with lower gear.

I never really got to play Ele in 3's where I think it would've really felt good to play, but as far as 2's goes with a Destro lock, Rsham felt a solid bit better than Ele in nearly every situation except maybe against Beastcleave. It's been a hot minute since so I'm not too confident about it, but I can't really see Ele being as good as Destro or Frost, unless things have drastically changed since early GD days

so the arguement you gave for Hpally not being S tier is that vs a RMP you wont be able to cast and will die fast right? How does disc priest handle that any better? Wouldn't they do the same thing to a priest? Only you die faster cuz cloth, and you don't have hand of freedom or bubble to potentially save you.

when you talk retribution paladin you should consider the preg version, the op dmg healer. in private servers its the standard in high rating and its super good when paired with discipline for instance, 2 dispels and priest can play alot more offensive. id say they are A tier in 3s and S in 2s

@@LLLL-un8le Not sure I understand the question? If rogue/spriest is good, then what about.. xx? That the question? I mean, ret is ok :-) it's just that shadow have better cc synergy. But it can work. I wouldn't say rogue/feral is that good tbh, even if they get the opener. But.. in WOTLK comps are far more forgiving, to some extent.

Great video but I feel like you really didn't mention why Prot Warrior is so powerful as they have 1 of the best PvP tool kits with massive damage. You have ranged silence, melee silence, interrupt, 2 stuns, fear, 10 sec CD spell reflect (improved reflects spells against teammates), intervene and often overlooked Shield Slam dispel. You can lead in dispels as Prot and adds a ton of pressure when Priest bubble or Druid Hots are dispelled. This makes Man Cleave popular Arms/Prot as MS combined with Prot dispelling is just healer nightmare. Combined with the fact Prot can shut down casters and not let them cast. They are nigh immune to Rogues with damage shield. Then of course with enough Arm Pen/Block value their damage can be insane. I'd say A tier and S tier in the hands of a skilled player or team comp. There were 3k+ rating Prot wars in Wrath.

It's not that they won't work.. but they aren't great in S5. Once they get armor pen gear and proper pve. Then it starts slaying.

@@markbay9275 They're different. If you running preg, you are the support/healer with occasional dmg. Prot warr, is a dmg roll. Their DMG in season 5 is not bad, but, later on once they get Armor pen they take off. Great utility, great dmg

I think you forgot Prot Paladin is broken when stam stacking as a healer and silenced. Was a broken class for S6/S7 with a Destro lock.

I think it's a bit ridiculous to put SV hunter as "non-viable", as if they are bad. The reason people don't play them is that MM is mostly better (especially in later seasons), but that doesn't really mean SV is bad. It's definitely not down there with blood DK or holy priest. Similarly Balance druid might not have too many comps, but there are a few very strong ones. Definitely not worse than Fury, which you put in C.

yea we can see you dont have much recent xp in wrath arena clearly, not even mentioning on 2v2 or 3v3, some specs are way better in 3v3 for example, some specs are more gear dependent etc lol calling affli "support spec" in tbc. opinions are useless, there's a ladder and we can see objectively which specs are optimal for pvp

So if you take away RMP from a disc priest are they still S tier? I feel like your judgement on priest and Hpal is very reliant on 1 team. Be it an overplayed team but an S tier to me should be judged off can they carry in multiple comps and in 2s with any dps. After saying that would that change your ranking on the 2? Disc is godly in several comps. Afflic/unholy/disc , Jungle cleave, RMP, Thug Cleave, kitty cleave. So many options.

allways crusader strike off priest shields, also have 2 x 2handers one with disarm enchant making you immune to disarm vs rogue/warrior comps when its on cd you can switch to your other main dps one. 50% reduced disarm duration on talents + 50% on enchant on weapon.

If you look on arena stats of old but pretty much alive servers you'll see that the only viable healer on 2v2 is Holy Paladin. Best pair is either Arms or BloodDK with 100% ARP. All others D tier. They may play on low arena but top 50 teams is Hpala + Arms\Bdk. There is no need to invent the wheel - it already done 13 years ago.

hpala is s+tier, u just had to aggressive\straight bad teammates. And abut rets - you 100%right, ret needs shadowmourne or at least her bryntroll to be somehow viable in pvp...

Thanks for the upload. Just a quick fyi, you forgot about combat rogue. Yes they are behind sub and assasionation, like it's common to say after killing sphree you're basicle a worse version of a assasination rogue, BUT I made that spec work back in the days, baiting their def CDs and trinket and BAM, a 5 point kidney shot + KS is not to joke about with some gear behind it. Did I just tell the community to go combat rogue in arena as main spec? No but just wanted to fill in the blanks and give 1 quick example how that spec can work (sometimes).

Way better, they are A or S tier 100%. Rogue spriest is one of the only counters to Hpal War (strongest 2s comp in wotlk)

How can i make titans grip fury work in the arena; what could i play it with be it 2s or 3s.

agree with everything but enhance tbh. if u look at further seasons (Frostmournse S3 now) for example, enhance totally deletes everything... they are S Tier for Season 5 to 7 and fall of in 7 or 8

every class i a S tyer in proper hands ill tell u about arena -tournament realm where i hawe watched live 2vs2 arena event combo was 2 unholy dks they won the tournament.. first one dk go in frnt with the green shield wich make him ummune on spells...when is gone ...than go the second one and the first one go back a bit. they use same combo for the big zone wih make them immune on spell damage...or on english..they are immune on spell whole time .. dont forget 2 kicks ,2 silences..2 gargoylse.. i have seen a dual sub rogue combo doing 35 sec cc on Pshero the best rogue in the world thats why WOTLK 3.3.5 was and i s still the BEST PVP pacth ever..

I stopped watchig when you talked about shadow priest, i strongly disagree, sps are very strong in wrath arena, they can run multiple comps to rank 1, i think you don't have alot of experience at high ratings honestly.

To add what you were saying about battle groups I remember the saying “BG 9 or it doesn’t matter” meaning unless you were in battle group 9 it didn’t matter because battle group 9 is where all the best players were and it was the most competitive and I believe BG 9 was bloodlust I don’t remember anymore lol

There seems to be a lot of bias or rather just lack of research backing this. Praeg paladins are gonna be imba w 3.3.5. hpala not being s tier and not having ele sham higher is also an oversight imo. Almost all of this channels videos seem to be based off surface level information or nostalgic memory.

@@UsesElevators playing pre patch seems to be like Ret is in A and HPal is in S. There’s a reason they are literally everywhere and they still have talent points to unlock. The 10 missing points for 80 aren’t going to absolutely transform any class into something absurdly superior, it’s gonna just round them out a little more but the skeleton is there.

Priest mages get 25hc alk weapons that rival Smourne plus double Chared Scale, they will pump like CRAZY You guys need to chill about shadowmourne, there wont be that many and the same way glave rogues are killable they are too

I dont want to be a hater, but your tier list is not that good, depends what comb are you playing in duo/trio i can tell you half of the WoW class specs are S-tier for example Cupit Cleave/TSG/jungle cleave/LSD/shatterplay/thunder cleave/ and there are more.

Retribution Paladins at C-Tier is a bit too low in my opinion. I would put them at least to B-Tier and if played correctly, A-Tier with the right comp. But C-Tier is wrong mate thats underrated

His main point was that they couldn’t close a gap. But this isn’t 1v1 duels, it’s 2v or 3v. Obviously a RPal is gonna pair with a warrior or maybe hunter who has slows and can facilitate that part of the fight, while the have other tools such as remove stun effects and freedoms, off healing, ranged burst with hammer of wrath and exorcism. It’s bias and anecdotal info pulling for over a decade ago. The player skill floor is higher than it was back then

I was resto druid in TBC. it sucks because they have no offensive dispel. They lose feral charge in wotlk because it moves further down the feral tree (which btw balance does not have feral charge lol). resto goes from S to A tier bc they necessarily get alot worse, its just other healers gain more in their kit to catch up and make them better picks. I am 100% going feral arena in wotlk, love the kit changes eliminate wolfhead helm and powershifting.

Restore mana when you deal damage --> absorb = 0 dmg = no mana restored. You don't even know your 'i played htis class so much' their spells and how they work? Come on..

@@David-hs1bu I think it's a little more complex then that. You're not taking into account DPS/TANK/HEALER professions. A healer in phase 1 may benefit from spirit or spell back enchant from tailoring until TOC epic gems. Or a lock may benefit from Eng for haste gloves and nitro boots for mobility. Isn't as clear cut as JC/BS

You quite obviously have no idea what you are talking about. You did absolutely 0 research on the very competitive private servers which players will absolutely dominate the classic wotlk ladder and just talked about your outdated experience. The fact alone that you consider fury warrior compareable with ret paladin makes this discussion already seem like a lost cause though. Little hint though, maybe that will boost your Ret Paladin experience: Repentance is not a gap closer ;) maybe don't use it as one and you'll have a shot at playing ret in arena. Probably the worst arena tier list for wotlk that I've seen so far.

Sorry mate but if you put RET pala to C tier you have no idea what you are talking about. Making assumptions from 10 years ago and saying "I lived it so I know it" is a little bit silly. You really cant compare those times with todays players skill/knowledge/addons. A class with 25 sec stun removal (freedom talent for rets) with pretty high instant heal proc uptime and a reliable stun and infinite utility like dispell-double sac-bop has no chance being average or below average. It can only be A tier and only because if its tied to 1 comp which I doubt it will. Long story short you are like those people who think they remember pretty much everything about a game from 10 years ago but not only that also think that you are able to assess the potential of the game/classes etc with todays overall understanding of the pople over the game. Nostalgia bubble - not accurate.

Sub rogue is useless in the beginning of expansion, 0 dmg against plate classes. A bit better with armor pen later on, but still sub is just annoying stun bot with interrupts. I remember everyone was playing assa. Only at the end of expansion Reckful pulled it off, but you rly need to be good and have just as good teammates.

Its the oppesite, sub is good at start and falls of s7-s8 cause of high resil and hp, u can compensate plate with arp a bit yea but its redicilously harder in s8 when they r 30k+ hp and only 18k in s5 cause ur dmg is not goin to scale that crazy

The playstyle has shifted immensely from the era u're relaying ur information, particularly when it comes to holy paladin. It's as u said urself, u need a good team to peel for u. But honestly Hpal in LK felt like it was from a different expansion entirely. It's like an Hpal took the WoD portal to Draenor and somehow showed up in Northrend 6 years in the past to play with plebs that still hardcasted their abilities. No kap A good RMP will dismantle any healer, not just a Hpal, so that argument doesn't really do much. However Hpal does have everything it needs to survive them the best, just need the space to do so. Not to mention that it's way less likely to run out of mana than a disc and need to sit down for a drink
