I'm waiting for the explorer version which has the 8-inch touch screen, rear radar, multi-stage traction control etc. Already out in Europe. By the way nice video the bike and accessories look badass

I got one and love it! So far I did DNA filter, side panniers and top box (cfmoto brand), tank pads from Italy that are colored coordinated, and I have a taller and tinted screen ordered along with a radiator guard.

I actually just emailed them, I told them that thanks to tjis guy im sold on the bike. And after looking at "major" competitors am sold on this one on everything, affordability, quality, and is decked out more than the others bike at that price range... is seriously more than half the price of the other ones. Current deal in Australia is all the protection stuff (odd that your radiator guard doesn't have the MT logo) plus sidestand foot and rally pegs are FREE until end of September. That makes a great deal even better. I can't find a single video or review that puts me off this bike. It's just a shame the top level Explore is only available here in black when that blue with gold wheels looks so good.

hello. i have a Cfmoto 800 mt touring too full protected... 😁 do you know how the lights can be adjusted? from manual I cant figured out ... it says its a knob under lights, but i cant find it... maybe you make video about light adjustment. Thanks.

I like this IBEX/800 MT series. Planning to buy new Explore next year. But I have to say that engine guard solution is ugly. Not to mention relying on rubber insert to stay in place in crash? I'd rather pay for whole new guard as a single unit with existing one. Hopefully someone will make an aftermarket one

Kawasaki versus 300x or if you want to go more cheap get a sym nht 300 .i own one as first bike ain't that bad Otherwise if you plan hard traveling a 650 vstrom used

OC: Quick question, after having owned the bike for a while now, what's the average MPG? And, does it take cheap or expensive gas? Also, you should do a ride for the next video.

It’s a high compression engine so it will have to run premium gas. And I think it gets around mid 50’s.

Premium gas requirement is quite the oversight. A lot of places where people take ADV bikes, you're lucky to get gas, period. That severely limits the capability of this machine to basicly populated areas only.

You can run them on regular in a pinch with no worries Ca models on the gas tank reads 87 octane

If you’re going to go off road I would advise against the hard luggage. Great until you get a leg trapped under and it almost tears it off at the ankle. Same with a centre stand. A quick dab and it tries to take your foot off. Loving the look of this though, reminds me of the V-Strom 650.

So I went to a CFMOTO demo event, as did a few friends, and we all agreed: the Ibex 800T is nice, but the fuel and throttle maps kinda suck, and at times a bit sketchy. For instance, taking turns in 2nd gear, when you open the throttle on the apex exit, it seems to be either 0% or 10%+, no in between. The throttle was jerky and not smooth, and fueling felt rough in spots. It wasn't just the 800T we rode, either, as the other 3 800S models they had did the same thing. To me, it's a great first try by CFMOTO, but it needs refinement. By contrast, the 700CX-L was a phenomenal bike in both the Sport and Heritage trims. I'd daily that bike for sure. Have you noticed issues with the throttle and fueling on the 800? Why are no reviewers mentioning the iffy throttle and fueling at low RPM?

Because some people are not really bothered by it, like me. I ride all my bikes in sports mode at all times. Bit snatchy? I guess? Does it bother me? No. Probably just needs some mapping tweaks. At the end of the day, reviews can also be quite subjective.

I will never understand why most ADV bikes don't come sold with crash bars or with a crash bar included option. Most people would pay to have them already installed.

Make sure to put blue loctites on all the screws, or else most of the stuff you put on will be gone in a week.

Ok so you install all those things but the one most important thing you need for that ADV is not changed and thats the tire! My head hurts. Imagine wearing all that gear ready to go hiking then you only wear converse chuck Taylors.

I'd be willing to bet 97% or more ADV riders never change the tires on their bikes. By that I mean, they just run the street tire of their choice, not a 50/50 tire.
