I would love this. Either as an antagonist or as a guest/sends a gift (With a twist of course, she IS a hag). Matt said that Isharnai respects Jester outplaying her. She's Fae, and most of them appreciate a good trick. Jester (and Laura) played one that well.

Absolutely this, when I was a baker I had a set of stainless steel portion scoops with the squeezable handles - makes muffin / cupcake prep so much easier! Small ones work great for adding fillings, cookies etc so highly recommend buying a set
Hi baker here! You did great! - for the black not being so black, there’s gel food coloring that’s a little darker - for the filling, they sell scoops (think of an ice cream scoop) with a handle you squeeze ( google vollroth portion scoop) - I hate making frosting so I always keep a tub of pre made cream cheese frosting and doctor it up esp cus I would also forget the cream cheese 😂 Oh also! Good on you for the kitchen scale! I’ve made the Lord Esteross cookies like 5 times now and the kitchen scales the mvp of that recipe !
I actually hope that Jester and Isharnai became legitimate friends. That would be so cute. Maybe if M9 and BH meet, Fearne and Jester can introduce Mori and Isharnai to each other.
For easy distribution, ice cream scoop OR a measuring cup like your pyrex one. Just pour the batter into the cup, then that way you can just pour it into the tin. Just use a paper towel to wipe the pour spout when your done pouring each time.
6:16 I rarely cook/bake BUT they have these mini scoop things specially for cupcakes and they are a god send for getting even measured scoops! Or just using a tablespoon measurer 😅 but the scoop has a built in thing to help scoop out the ingredients into the tray. Kind of like those old school ice cream scoopers, but mini.
Yes I was going to comment to say they sell dishers which look like baby ice cream scoops with the little button that pushes the batter out. Very good for making sure each cup gets the right amount.
The next time you make them (with all the ingredients...though it looks like they were great this time without the one!), have Ginny Di fly down dressed as Jester, you dress as Veth, and have a chat as you make them! This was really fun--thank you! :)
Tip for icing (which I got from Cupcake Jemma on RU-vid) start in the centre and spiral outward rather than starting at the edge and spiralling inward. Also for filling the papers with batter, a piping bag would (theoretically) give you better control and less spillage. Very fun video, love the fun editing bits.

Today the adhd tax demands cream cheese 🤭 quick thinking adding more butter I’d probably just cry. I don’t bake very often so I tend to use a measuring cup to get even portions but I like the ice cream scoop someone suggested. Christmas cooking is a good excuse to buy a new one, right? I did think about sewing you an apron when you said months ago you might do more cooking videos, but then we couldn’t see your pretty dresses as much 😁 I remember watching the hag scene livestream because it was one of the few days where my rostered day off fell on a Friday so I could watch! I definitely may have been hugging a pillow and screaming into it from the tension. Such a good scene!
You could use the piping bag for the batter as well as the icing :) I always imagined black moss cupcakes would taste kind of licorice-y. (If you saw another comment, no you didn't. :p This is why we FINISH watching the video before we hit "comment" folks)
My head canon is that when Isharnai realized she had her memory screwed with, she thought it was funny and respected Jester for getting one over on her. She probably smiled when she got the delivery of cupcakes. 😂

I believe Matt has confirmed that Isharnai did eventually figure out Jester tricked her, and she is no longer under the Modify memory. I want to say it was during the Campaign Wrap Up. [Checks the Wiki] So yes, she is no longer under Modify memory, she "has some respect for having been outmaneuvered, but will cross paths with Jester again". They cite the Campaign 2 Wrap-Up with the time stamps of 2:50:17 through 2:51:57.
Hi, I'm thinking about getting the cookbook for Christmas, would you say that the practical value of the recipes are worth the cost or is it the fact that it is a criticle role cookbook that qualifies the majority of the value? Thankyou for the video it was very fun to watch.
I have the book too, and it's very well made, and some of the recipes look pretty great - but I definitely would not have bought it if not for the Critical Role-ness.
I'm gonna be a wet blanket and say that, while The Cupcake Incident is a masterclass in RP, ultimately, it leaves a sour taste in my mouth because I feel like it's more Laura tricking Matt, rather than Jester tricking the hag. Sourness aside, I love these cooking vids. I remember liking Ginny Di's cooking vids, but she quit real quick because viewership tanked. I hope they do better for you.
In the end of campaign talk Matt did reveal the hag had caught on and oh? Jester and fjord are getting married? I wonder who might interrupt this upcoming wedding
