Ah, the joys of DI engines. For anyone that owns a DI engine I strongly suggest upgrading the PCV system with a good quality oil separator plumbed into the PCV. If you can remove 99% of the oil mist from the blowby gasses then gummed up valves and inlet tracts will no longer be an issue 😉

Denso Iridium plugs are OE for Toyota, though they sometimes come with NGK also. The original plugs will have a paint mark on the top of the electrode where the coil sits. They actually use paint marks on most original parts like struts, springs, and mounts.

@@richardbaumgart2454 I run a catch can on my 1.6 Ecoboost it is definitely a great addition. Every oil change I dump it out and am glad that isn't being blasted on my valves. If I were to use a laundry measurement cup its 2-3 loads of residue lol

Recommend wearing eye protection, especially when performing any under vehicle service. ;-)

This is a good típ lol. I’ve gotten rust, motor oil, grease and just so much grime in my eyes. Eye protection would have saved me lots of pain

If I did not care about my boy Alex, I would not have even said anything. He’s a good dude.

Greeting from South Africa. I owned a '07 IS 250 for many trouble free happy miles and years, so great to see one being restored back to life! Daily driving an IS 350 F Sport now completely sold on the brand. Thank you for the great content!

My 2013 IS250 has 230k miles on her, runs and drives great 😊. I clean the lower intake and intake valves every year and change synthetic oil every 5k or 6 months. She gets 32 mpg, but I don't push her hard. Plus, it's a beautiful car!
