wood texture i do a similar way yet i don't use the wood burner but i do use foil and the hot glue and wire but then i add a coat or three of Dap drydex pink spackle! it will give a unique texture that really makes the wood texture look interesting and you can use a clay tool or something and design wood curves or notches where you want that you see some room for them. Just an FYI maybe you will like this texture hack wish i could send you pics of some of what i have done but no option on here lol

@@SonicHydra just insulation foam yeah. they all vary quitte wildly but that batch of blue stuff just takes detail way better than the pink that i had :)
