I Made the ULTIMATE MARIO KART Level in Super Mario Maker 2

The lazy way to have more levels is to have this one named 50CC and then make a night time exact clone named 100CC lol

IDEA: give the lagging player an advantage by covering the star with on/off blocks or p-switch. Then a bit later in the level have the On/off switch or p-switch have to be pressed to progress if your first, Hence if your last you may have an opportunity to grab the newly uncovered star.

i feel like the frog suit would make a good level too. maybe even make a dark level underwater and even transition into night castle also, since you can go through pipes with the P Balloon, can't you just use the sub-world to make a second lap? you can use checkpoints as well as your Lakitu simulation if you "fall off" or lose your power-up

I imagine you could do "Multiple Laps" by changing the win condition and looping back with pipes.

Great level, and the split screen at the end was awesome. I hope you do that again when you do your video on your 4-way game with DGR. Also love the level name. Both for the reference, and because you always should take a P before you race.

I can’t wait to play that in online and somebody just sits at the on off switch and just switches it when ever we switch it so we can’t go forward.

You know what would also be cool? If power ups drop in certain areas, but better power ups (for racing) gets dropped later so the catch up mechanic in mario kart is shown.

Can somebody explain to me why Panga uses the D-Pad for the balloon? It works so much better with the control stick, with the rare and only 360° compatible movement in the game.

I think an interesting lap mechanism could be that you have a clear condition that you can only collect if you've hit an on/off switch a certain amount of times. You could stack alternating on/off blocks that move the item down each time it is hit. You then have one-ways and twisters to push the players away from the switches

Awesome level! Just a thought for the next one, you could set up a shortcut where you take damage and have to do a regular platforming section before getting another P-ballon to rejoin the "racetrack". Also, maybe you might want to make the final big boy shortcut have a 1-way gate blocking people who didn't take the shortcut from getting the 50-coin.

BIG BRAIN GAMER IDEA: For the lap system, try having when you finish a lap have them hit a on/off switch that drops a moving shell by one block, then when they pass it again have them hit it again, dropping it another block, until they hit a POW block destroying the creatures blocking the path to the flag/goalpost.

I thought of a possible lap counter, but it wouldn't work with the balloon. Ensure each player starts with a Fire Flower and a helmet, then have Super Mario as a clear condition. Put a pipe behind the goal which takes you to a chute near the beginning that drops you through a saw.

You could do a lap counter potentially by utilizing a regenerating bob-bomb? That would have to blow up three layers of blocks, and then respawn only when all players are off screen maybe? So first player has to initiate contraption, and then all players have to do a loop somehow? I don't know, I could see how that could be cheesed now that I type it

Just got the World Record on this course with a 1:01.2? Sub 1 minute might be possible but would require incredible precision, don't think it could go below 59 secs though. Took me a good couple of hours to get that and I don't wanna grind for longer than that. Hit all 3 shortcuts (including a very quick final one), dodged all but the 1st grabber, and discovered some new tech to hit the on/off switches without losing momentum...most of the time. Awesome level, loved seeing your thought process in making it and inspired me to grind the WR at it.

If you want to force 3 laps, block the flag at the end, then make a pipe to subworld, make the subworld just the pipe you get out of + 4 keydoors in between 2 one-ways as well as 4 pipes back to the start, with a key (that you have to collect AFTER passing the keydoor, so no turning back cause of one-ways) in front of each thats seperated with one-ways. This forces them to do lap 2, then they have to use the keys to enter a door at the end of lap 2 (make 4 doors around the same area as the pipe for lap 1), then have the keydoors bring back to the start again for lap 3, with a cursed key to be collected upon exiting the first keydoor per player (if possible, otherwise regular), which is then used on the keydoor in the subworld after entering the pipe at the end of the 3rd lap to reach the end. This way they basically have to redo the whole lap 3 times with minimal usage of subworld, since its only really the resest to start line thing that you use it for.

Hmm. I wonder what a "mario kart" maker game/update(probably to the new mario Kart as opposed to mario maker) would be like. Sort of like how you could make your own tracks in excite bike only, you know...better.

Its cool but you absolutely destroyed any possibility of flow to your level. Its a complete mess where you are forced to repeatedly stop for no reason.

Hey Panga, for a multiple lap race, could you possibly do a hint room like in troll levels that tells people where a hidden block with a key or clear condition is on the course and then, at the end of the hint room it dumps them out at the beginning of the race so they have to do the race, hit the hidden block, then win. I'm struggling to figure out a third lap idea but that can work for two I think.

I've never made a Mario Maker level but to make it a lapped race couldn't you make the clear condition like getting three 50 coins and put them behind a pair of one ways leading back to the beginning?

I really wanna see a Mario Kart level but it has checkpoints and loops on itself. I don't know if it can be done as the checkpoint passages would have to be person to person which I don't think that's possible but it'd be so cool.

You could put P-Balloons in Note Blocks in the ground, that way players that lose theirs can get a new one but players who are already ballooned would have to go out of their way and lose time

i have an idea for a lap mechanism, as you pass through, you grab a red coin, and hit an on/off switch, when you hit said switch, it allows a muncher to pass, which eventually blows up a bomb and allows for a 2nd red coin to be revealed, and you, again have to hit another on/off switch, which will let another muncher blow up another bomb, revealing the 3rd red coin, and have the 3rd red coin room contain the key door, which leads to the finish

I didn't finish the video but with a clear condition you could a lap mechanism if you defeat 3 at least ennemies and so you could count laps and the first one finish the thing that could block this is if the at least clear condition could still be stolen by other player

Don't like that final shortcut.. If you hit a spike it is game over. You cannot finish and there is no way to get another balloon.

You or someone should make a mariocart level that uses the sub world and the regular parts to make a grand prix sort of level that will reward a person with something as they finish faster than the others with different themes for each course

A way 3 laps could be done is by making the end a locked door with a key that can only be found in a copy subworld that leads back to the beginning.

In true Mario kart fashion, you should've had a drum beat following the player in first.
