Just subscribed & literally watched *all* of your shorts to this point! As someone who is very artistic but due to having become disabled at 33….I’m broke. However also due to being physically disabled I have all the time for art/projects only limited by my joint/muscle pain/weakness & migraines. Being disabled means the vast majority of my time is spent at home…esp since COVID due to my health issues lowering my immune sys & also putting me @ higher risk of severe illness/death…so I don’t just *want* my space to be enjoyable I *NEED* it! So your vids are great inspiration! Just wish I lived closer to a major city for access to free stuff. I get some stuff off apps like craigs list but it’s really limited as I live in extreme rural Mississippi…as in on 98 acres mostly covered in woods which is border on 3 sides almost completely by National Forest in a county where 70+% of land is National Forest…with no cities or even towns with a population over 3500. New Orleans is 2hrs away & I have family/friends there. So I occasional get one of them to go pick up something I find that’s free or cheap & able to be paid for online. But I also spend at least a few hours driving around looking for cool item & checking out free items offered online. But I’m limited by what can fit in my SUV. If I occasionally find a large item that’s too good to pass up that I simply HAVE to have…I have a couple friends with trucks & trailer willing to help me out when they can. I got a massive legit fancy wardrobe from the mid 1800s made in France *for FREE* which had absolutely nothing wrong with it other than the glass on the doors having been painted with paint easily removed, from an estate clearing out an extremely old house full of antiques! I actually got a number of items from that & *HATE* I didn’t have enough space to take more. -Something incredible was that I got a very large, elaborate jewelry box from the early 1800s but had to agree to take all the costume jewelry in it as well as a 5 gallon bucket full(a lot of which was broken). When going thru the jewelry in it I found 28 pieces which were real gold &/or silver. My favorite of which is a handcrafted antique gold choker/collar style intricate necklace with tiny clear quartz & amber bits. As well as a beautiful gold & silver ring set with citrine & amber. Then when cleaning the jewelry box I found 1 secret compartment containing 17 US, French & British coins from 1890-1915 as well as 3 small gold nuggets! In a second small secret compartment I found a set of real gold dangly earring with real sapphires, pair of 2 carat diamond stud earrings, an emerald/gold ring & pendant…& 5 broken non-matching earrings with 3, two 1.5 & four 0.5 carat diamonds as well as a 1 &!2 carat natural sapphire & 4 carat tear shaped ruby!! For our 20th anniversary my husband took the 3 & two 1.5 carat diamond to a jewelry maker whose creations I love…as he does everything either by hand or using pre 1900 techniques…and got him to make me an “engagement” ring…which he gave me as if he was proposing but stated his love & made some sweet promises publicly at a restaurant. BC when he asked me to marry him as a senior in high school at 18 on Valentine’s Day while parked at the lake…he proposed with a synthetic ruby ring he had managed save to get at Kay as the cheap Valentine’s Day special. For our 10th anniversary he had gotten me a completely plain 3 stone diamond ring with a 1.5 carat diamond with a 0.5 carat on each side. Which I love but it really sticks up & catches on literally *everything* …so I only wear it on special occasions. He made sure the one he had made for our 20th didn’t have the diamonds or settings sticking up…so I could actually wear it. Not knowing he had had a ring made for me I had a new wedding band made for him(since he lost his)including two of the 0.5 diamonds & the 1 carat sapphire…ironically by the same jewelry maker.😂 So the jewelry maker made them to be an obvious set!❤️ So we ended up with a new, handcrafted wedding set made from gold nuggets/scrap antique gold & antique gemstones! All of which cost nothing! And learning the story of our relationship, the many hardships we’d faced by that point (plus the fact we produced all the materials)the jewelry maker refused to allow either of us to pay him for his work. He also made a heart necklace pendant that comes apart in 2 pieces to make 2 separate pendants for us with the gold left from making the rings plus some he added as a gift to us.❤️❤️ Which was amazing. Just wanted to share
I have been watching you for some time now and was wondering, through all the transformations of all the pieces of used furniture, skateboard, mannequin, clear plastic chair and other bric-a-brac, where in the world have you learned to reform the stuff?! Read how to? Dad? Friends in college. Where did you learn how to transform everything? Did you start as a child? Really curious! Thanks!!
Dude, we need more vids and maybe longer vids. I enjoy your content as I also find furniture in the trash. But of course it's hit or miss in my area. I find 1 piece a year. No one throws out anything good.
low light plants that are very easy to take care of and would look amazing in your apartment: Pothos (but especially golden pathos if you want vine like plant) Chinese evergreen,ZZ plants, spider plant,Peace lily,Lucky bamboo
why not just give them or sell them for cheap?? skaters ain’t the richest people and seeing someone turn 60-100$ decks into a stupid bookshelf is really annoying
