@@constanzanordenflycht125 Ranch is pretty unhealthy as far as dressings and dips go. You can use low fat mayo or vegan mayo, and you might be able to swap the butter milk for some low fat sour cream or something like that. Might be just as good.
Yea I was and still am a picky eater and my dad basically forced me to eat things I didn’t like and if I refused I sat at the table all night until I finished my plate
I can attest that the HVR restaurant style packets w/ mayo & buttermilk taste exactly like Wingstop. I've been making it that way for years, but I only use 1-1½ packets and it's still bomb AF (I find that 2 packets make it a bit too salty for me)
@@miacamali5749 we discovered years later that what made me think it had a bad taste/feeling in my mouth was actually an allergic reaction… but I was to young to express it properly so my parents were thinking it was just about the taste…
@@miacamali5749 But in other cases you can find ED in young children they can develop when there is to much pressure to eat food they dislike/are afraid of, which make them extremely anxious about certain food, you can also find it in autism cause they are really sensitive and to much (or a new kind of) texture or taste can be to much of a stimulus for them to endure
I actually do equal parts of buttermilk, sour cream and mayo but just mayo and buttermilk is still delicious! I make my own mayo too and that takes it to another level.
The restaurant style packets are 💯% above and beyond the regular ones, you should keep trying to find them, they're so good! I get them at Walmart and WinCo
For me I wasn’t able to eat tomatoes cause I was slightly allergic to it, so it was uncomfortable, you can peel them after letting them soaked for 30sec to 1 min in boiling water, cause most of the time it removes the part some people are allergic to, it’s not a reaction where it burns, more like the feeling of an uncomfortable texture
I make a similar kind, but I do 1 cup mayo, half cup sour cream, Half cup buttermilk, chopped chives and 1 garlic clove minced and 1 packet of the restaurant style ranch. It’s amazing.
I really enjoy your profile of food Corospondense I was a professional chef for many years and presentation is the key very good profiling very good balance and great nutrition. Thank you.
I got a picky baby sister, it's different because my parents never had issues with us eating our vegetables. Matter of fact we loved them, so when my sister eats them, it's a head turner. It feels like a win every time😂
I have a question. since your daughter is a picky eater what would be the idea of introducing her to cooking? I don't know if it helps her if she can cook with you so that she can adopt healthy eating habits. I was in the kitchen when I was 4 because I was very picky and that helped me a lot and I really enjoyed helping my parents and grandma with the cooking. would be a great experience for your daughter.🥰
I used to be a picky eater but i have to live with relatives when i was in college. I cant afford to be a picky eater, because i dont have money to spare so i eat whats on the table.
Hey! Do you have tips for someone who is currently a picky eater and didn't get helps with it growing up? I know it's a lot to ask but I'm an adult now and I struggle with a lot of foods because of picky eating and sensory so anything at all would be amazing.
I can relate with your daughter as growing up I was a very picky eater I love eating a salad but I didn't like mixing it with dressing I like snacking on everything individually like tomato wedges with sea salt sometimes I add a little bit of pepper but most the time it was just the sea salt cucumbers love eating sliced and also fermented family recipe is the truth whatever spices you want soak very thin slices of cucumbers that have been soaked an ACV water mix I don't put very much water cuz I don't want it diluted it's typically so I can save ACV currently due to access to stuff meaning travel and funds I added that to the recipe the longer you leave them in there the softer they become in order to have the flavor at least 3 days they're still a nice crisp me I leave them in the fridge untouched for 3 weeks this is helpful because I have no teeth all right family it's good to see your beautiful faces take care of hope this helps oh and I used to eat lettuce by itself which might sound weird I fell in love the first time I tried oil and vinegar dressing that my grandma made that was nice and peppery had black pepper and some other stuff she never shared the recipe with me that I can recall since then I like to cut up the Cucumber and tomatoes into wedges and mix it in a bowl with the oil and vinegar dressing it's so good okay so Jasper pup and I are sending lots of love blessings and healing prayers to all the family out there have a blessed amazing day and remember kindness is free PS fun to share also🤗 💃🐶🥰💕🥸 🙏🌎💚🌍💚🌏
I have a friend who is a picky eater. A 40 year old woman and I’ve seen her physically gag from trying to eat broccoli lol it’s sad as much as it’s funny. Bc she wants to eat certain healthy things but cannot. She’s also allergic to random things like fruit…all of them lol
I have a pickey eater too....he is 13 and hates ranch, cheese, bread, pizza, mac and cheese, all vegetables and most fruit!! Ugh, the struggle is real! Her eating a salad is a major win!!! Good job
I made some with sour cream and buttermilk instead of mayo. I think the buttermilk is the key😉funny cuz when we were kids that’s how it was made all the time.
I've never had wing stop ranch but we all love Ranch here, my kids and hubby eat it with alottt of stuff lol. So gonna try this. Thank you. I also have a verrrry picky eater. And her dad & everyone is always saying make her eat it or don't give her anything at all. I said No I'm not gonna do that, there is certain things we all don't like and noone makes us eat it why would I make her. Shes only 4 she will grow out of it. (I hope) lol but I seen your one vid of you saying about why starve them or make them eat it all that's gonna do is cause food issues. I agree.
Your so patient she literally looks like she still doesn’t want to eat it and the salad is bomb !! I feel like her picky eating may be the real deal if she is picking over all that food to eat one thing ??? 😮😢
If you’re picky, eater like spicy, start, slipping it in very slowly on the onions, same thing, make them smaller and smaller she can get away with. It will never be easy but thank you for the recipe. Have a great day.😎
Well…I was super blessed that my son and now my grandson are not picky eaters. My daughter in law is slightly picky. It’s just hard to wrap your brain around it when it’s never been a problem. Such a challenge.
