Just a little correction: You don't have to grind out the elite lumbridge diary. The hard diary gives you unlimited teleports to the cabbage patch! Great video nevertheless!
I got 99 farming about a month back and just a few days ago boosted from 86 construction to get my max house, all spirit trees unlocked. This came at the perfect time, thanks Darnic!
For those new like i am, hosidius favour has been removed so don't go around trying to find it like i did. A lot of these videos should at least tag their own comment mentioning this. Nonetheless, keep grinding guys!
Taking a lil break after grinding for 2 and a half weeks straight. 70 combat stats and a bunch more it's been fun but don't wanna burn out too fast haha. Keep it up man these videos are dope 👑
One more tip, if you do barbarian training, you won't need a seed dibber, instead you will learn how to plant the seed by hand. There is also now a total of 10 herb patches with Varlamore. Fastest method to get there as far as ik rn is Fairy Rings and then running North West.
Cactus spines are also something worth including on runs as you only have to plant it once and can harvest it for pretty good profit and there's one in the farming guild to boot
I just added these. Was doing potato cactus in the guild for herblore xp, but I have a ton saved up now. Cactus spines are a nice bonus gp and a semi decent pet chance.
Could also plant palm trees for coconut runs or papaya seeds for the papaya runs to add to the gp farm. Along with the bush runs. ( cheaper and more profitable than dragon fruit)
@@user-xw6lm4un3s yea the pet roll is on checking the health. That’s why I was saying to replant cause you only can check the health once so if you want gp and the pet it’s best to replant instead of letting the spines regrow.
I’d recommend Yanillian seeds over Jute, profit is greater, just bring noted tomato baskets and they never die. Also, CW teleport to balloon to entrana I’ve found is faster for that hop patch.
I’m 17m farming xp and I recently just found out about the bottomless bucket. Thought it was only for regular compost didn’t know i could use any compost on it. Also didn’t know what those attas seeds did so I’ve never planted any. Thanks for the tips.
Ah, farming, the best skill ever. Farming was my first 99. Still hunting for the best skilling pet tangle root. Personally, I would do limpwurt root while doing herb runs for more profit. If you do not care about pet or just doing seaweed for pet, I would plant, willows in all tree patches and plant palm tree in all fruits tree patches, to collect willow branches and coconut for profit, also I would run over to draynor Manor for belladonna, the belladonna can be turned into weapon poison for good profit. Farming contracts are also a good way to get easy gp, seeds you get from seed packs are decent gp and farming contracts take little to no time to do if you pre-plant.
5 mins? seems like you don't know how to double harvest brother... You only need 3 mins to do the full run, that are 8 skipping harmony since that one is only for maxed accounts and the new one. Once you harvest any herb or plant, you spamm click untill you get the second herb in your inventory. From there on out you stop clicking, now every time you get a herb, instead of 1 you get 2. This has been confirmed by osrs legend himself Ash that if you do this you get the same ammount as herbs as if you would do it normally. If you do this every day, 5 times a day at the verry least you should only do ranarr and nothing else, why you ask? Because the other prices are a rollercoaster, going up and down even day by day so in the end ranarr gets you the most profit. Ranar is prayer potions so that will never change, *250k in 3 mins doing ranar is 250k x 20 = 5 mill every hour.*
Wouldn't 10 patches using snaps be better? Also need to use farm cape gives 5% while harvesting. I known you can spam allotment patches but spam herb patches still only gives me 1 herb not 2 like with allotments.
@@gregorymorton3783 Snaps gets you 365k per run in profit. Ranarr gets you 423K per run in profit... You can not do harmony since it requires elite diary.

the double-harvest trick also works on vegie patches and hops patches (but not bushes, weirdly). you can even do a thing in the farming guild with the large comport bin where you can harvest the vegie patches next to it and either add or remove items from the bin at the same time! :P
13:15 if you do your own compost, you can harvest your watermelon while putting them in the bin. i dont know if it save time over the spam click methode, but you can do the 2 animation afk one on top of the other :D
I remember banging out TONS of agility training so I could take the troll roof top shortcut, only to try and find out I also need a diary completed 😂 I was so but hurt
I planted palm trees in my fruit tree patches and include those in my runs too. Coconuts right now are 2k each, and an unpicked tree harvests 6 coconuts every few hours, so assuming you do a run of them 2 or 3 times a day can add at least an extra 200k to your profit as well
even though i have 99 farming i still watch these videos because everytime i think they will share what they pick for all this profit. i'll just share mine; my personal favorite i've been doing for a year now is picking cactus spine, white berries, yanillian hops and coconuts. these were the most profitable items for each patch that i've found and haven't changed my ways. didn't mention an herb since im grinding for 99 herblore now and just planting toadflax for sara brews. let me know if theres a better option than what im doing or if im wasting my time with some of these items.
I am maxed with all unlocks but you will save AT LEAST 30 seconds if you just have a xerics tally, etc in your bank instead of doing a home teleport every time. It may "seem" convenient but each of those tele home's will cost you about 5-10 seconds when you could of just tele'd directly there with the item in your invy. Cheers.
You are right! Still though for most people it's just easier to get rolling with just a few items vs all the different tele's. I do agree though they are worth it if you're a dedicated herb farmer
If you do Barbarian Training near the Barbarian Outpost you don't need the seed dibber anymore. One less tool to remember and also an extra inventory space.

24mil farming xp and was wondering if i was missing something. I only randomly planted anima seeds if I felt like it. Didn't realize the attas gives a worldwide yield boost, thought it was only at farming guild. Also I felt clicking fast on the herbs was badluck because it would seem I wouldn't get as many when I did it. ill try it out again. Thanks :P
I’m at the point in my farming grind too currently 96! But it’s honestly one of my best money makers especially passively even tho my farm runs take me 50 mins cuz I use most of the patches.
depends on seed prices, but ive been LOVING herb and birdhouse runs. several hours a week and i can pay my bonds my biggest drain is wanting to 99 farming and spending a lot of my profit on tree xp.
@@Darnic99It’s a good idea to put “effective” in the title. The more knowledgeable players know that it has to be effective XP, because it’s farming, but newer players might not know that. It’s a misleading title.
I am new to the game...just 2 weeks, i am lvl 80 combat and i am struggling for money...tried farming but lost 4 rannar seeds and now i only do willow trees cos they cheap and you can pay for them to be protected, i am 57 farming and was wondering isn't that farming minigame good for faster xp? Or isnt a way to make herb 100 successful like the willow saplings?
No herbs are always a chance. Google- “osrs herb farming calculator”, it’ll take you to a a great wiki page where you can learn how to maximize profit from herb runs. Play around with it and you can see what herbs are most profitable for you. Basic tips are to ALWAYS use ultra compost for herbs, magic Secateurs, and unlock as many patches as you can. The farming minigame isn’t generally worth it because if you do consistent farming runs with tees-fruit trees-etc you get more xp for less time while you have to actively play the tithe farm minigame. Also note that herbs are solely for profit and give minimal xp while patches like trees give lots of xp but cost you money.
Do the troll quests and plant ir best herbs on. The protected area with hosidius patch. The rest plant anywhere else. Also osrs money is low til later so try to get near the later stages for slayer or muspah/money snake and dragon for cash
I will say the berries are almost not worth it anymore as of Sept 2024. Whiteberry is the only one worth anything at 900gp and you pick them pretty slow and the yield seems to vary a lot
Sucks that i cant get magic secateurs on my pure. It would not be anything game breaking mechanic, it would just make farming little bit more profitable on pures.
