I've reached the point where I rarely bother with live auctions these days because they all seem to go about the way this one does... bunch of old guys standing around having a wallet-measuring contest paying stupid money for stuff that will probably sit for another 10 years.
Same experience here. Hell, even random stuff on ebay is like that. I've consistently gotten people to bid higher than the 'buy it now' price on identical listings.
I was going to leave after watching the majority of the video and leaving a comment etc...Then read your post and remembered how Isaac always ends his ...so I went back to see his Father. Thank you for not letting me disrespectful.
Glad to see you took a rest to remember your Dad, and to take some Issac time. Man you work a ton brother! Take care and good job resting to remember Dad! Cheers Issac, take care man!
Happy Father’s Day dad. I lost my dad 10 years ago. It takes time but it does get easier. The pain is still there. Missing them is still there but it will get easier. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent video Issac :) to bad Corvette went more except you want pay and didn't hear price Mercedes Benz went for nice car get to and motorcycle you tried too! But got some other stuff instead and do understand on 1 year of Passing Your Dad ! My dad was May 15 2017 and mom last year October 25 2023 not fun for sure!
Everything you bought was a bargain. That jack was worth every penny . Would love to have one simply for cleaning my bike . I used to work at a bicycle shop and we sold Hoffmans . The most common question I was asked was what's the best bike ? My answer was the one that gets ridden . Ain't nothing wrong with that Huffy , other than it didn't get ridden . My condolences on your loss . It'll be fine , you did good .
C3 Corvettes have (finally) started to go up some. I have a beautiful 69 convertible, mostly numbers matching. Little quirky but great cars. Still pretty easy to fix and get parts for. Thanks for the videos! 👍👍
I don’t do auctions , you always pay more than it’s actually worth, and truthfully, whatever gets bought, sits in a backyard for ten years or more untouched
That 125 looked so tempting, I used to have the 175 and the 125 both my favorite trail bikes along with a trail 70 I used to keep the trails beat down. Cheers from Jacksonville Florida 🌞
Been to three auctions recently , went home with heartburn from the burger lol, i aint got the pockets for them anymore but still like going. Keep up the great work and thank you for posting videos for us.
Hey Isaac, I have a 125 just like that one I have been looking to sell. I got it from my boss, and he was the original owner it's in great shape and runs and drives it needs new clutch discs and the electric start is weak but it's nice. it has also been changed to a 175 already which is what a lot of people did with those back in the day because it only needed the jug, piston and carb to change it. I live in Michigan by Detroit if you ever think you might be interested let me know. I would definitely let it go for less than what that one went for. I feel for you about your dad. My wife's grandmother passed away on Saturday, 97 years old. She will be missed.
I had one of those little Yamaha 125's . Fun little bike on dirt trails, but could have done with a bit more power. The 175 was better, but I couldn't afford one.
That Yamaha 125 isn't old. A guy I rode with in grammar school had one... oh shit... never mind. lol He ran it between two trees and broke both arms. I thought that was so funny that someone had to wipe his butt. Other than a dirty seat the bike was fine.
I missed a 91MB 320SL, running and driving with hard top but no convertible top for $1500. The buyer agrees to sell it to me. Then 2 days later sold it to someone else as my trailer was then free . Only had 90k miles 😢
Isaac really enjoyed seeing you at the auction. I did better 🤣. Office chair for $25. Last of the big spenders 😅. This Old Man from Washington NC always enjoying your videos. 🛵🧔💝
They have 1if those Yamaha 125s at Friend and Friend Honda Motorsports in Ellsworth Maine right next door to me.. it's the 1st thing u see when you walk through the door.. it's MINT
That's a shame you got busted Ike but that's the problem with public auctions it's hard to get anything when everyone wants it but better luck next time 😊
My brother in law spent years restoring a 70 Corvette 4 speed convertible for a graduation present for my nephew. The little twerp didn't like driving it and traded it for a Chevy Cruze.
Put a predator V Twin on that Huffy ! Cut out the center pipe i did that on a 30s schwinn bike put a slab of aluminum U bolted to the frame and the briggs bolted to the plate....idle arm clutch and jack shaft to the back wheel both BMX heavy duty BMX race rims and tires for the extra weight....you could cut down on my design and use welding and all your tools to run a predator V twin!!! Dooo itttt ! itll be like an old 1920s indian or something!
Should by the vfr honda if its in good shape.Cant go wrong.Prices on that stuff was stupid. Why does an auction make people think stuff is worth way more than it is?
When you go to an auction and there's a load of retired-looking fellas there, forget it, they've got retirement money to splurge on everything and anything... :\
some waay to quick to bid folks at the auction. no law say a person must jump at the opening price, folks wait a minute and make the auctioneer start at the ground floor (even better, the basement) on the price! for the small items, you scored.
Ya it's just like I have said before there is allot of people out there that have more money than brains because they are paying way to much for these old vehicles and motorcycles.
I know that you wanted it. But personally I wouldn't buy one without a complete inspection of the undercarriage. You could have dodged a major headache.
Hey y'all. Can someone stear me to some auction websites sites in Michigan with cars and motorcycles n stuff. I seem to only find antique housewares and the get tired of looking. Thanks.
