Hey pewds you are supposed to add warm water for the yeast to work and also little by little until the whole mass comes together and then mix until it feels soft and smooth, the mass was sticky bcause too much water! Hope u see this youll get it next time

8:11 he looked so hurt by that. Poor Felix. Now, some actual advice! You needed to knead the dough on the table to give it the "smooth" look. You push the dough with the heel of your palm and take the excess dough in front of your hand, and fold it back onto the dough. Then repeat the process for a good 15-20 minutes, until it's a homogenous, silky ball.Then put it back into the bowl to let it proof. Kneading the dough will fully incorporate and hydrate the flour, and develop the gluten for the dough to rise in the oven and give a good texture. For shaping, tip your dough out onto a floured surface and roll it out into a log. then you can take a bench scraper or a knife to cut portions out. Hope it helps if you want to try again!

I think Felix should just try whatever he wants to cook without the pressure of "doing it fine". You learn a lot from the mistakes you make, don't be nervous or insecure, all people fail before the success.

@@momorg2867 he was using cups to measure not a scale (an assumption based on the fact we don't see a scale in the video and after he puts the first cup in he says it needs another fifty and switches cups) and like I use to think he probably thought that the mls written on most cups was equal to grams so the recipe would have been off cause dry weight vs liquid weight

I do really like these types of videos. I like how it doesn't really feel like Felix is talking to me camera, it's more personal. I think it's all a learning experience. And you will know how to do it better next time. Also, watching someone else make them first is a good visual guide. Would love to see maybe a monthly or quarter annual cooking video where Felix makes dinner.
