Also we met and married all in the space of 4 days. Met on a Monday married on Thursday and flew back to Saudi where I was working on the Friday. 3 months later I returned to Thailand to collect her. Found out later she was not going to turn-up it was her friend that made her go to the Airport.
Well done Liam, been there, done that. Been together for 23 years & loving it. A lot of it comes down to common-sense, being a good judge of character & not being swept up in the moment. My wife also comes from the Khon kaen region.

The thing is, you always hear the stories about everything going wrong. It’s very refreshing to hear a story like this. I have 2 friends who married bars girls, both still happily married after many years.
Of course this is good news for Liam, but anyone watching this should understand that this is absolutely the exception and not the rule. Meeting a "bar girl" and having it all work out hardly ever happens. That's a simple fact. For every success, there are a thousand failures. Normally a bloke will meet a girl as punter/hooker, and that is very, very hard to go back from. Whatever happens, that will always be there.... But as said, good luck to them both. All Liam needs to do now is buy a decent shirt. 😂❤

Good on the guy for sticking to it, but there are many hard-working women in Thailand who didn't turn to prostitution that deserve such dedication. Why was he so desperate that it had to be this one? I'm afraid the less experienced out there will see this as an example of how they can "fix" a working girl and then get lost trying to white knight a losing situation. I'm not sure what good this interview does.
Kudos to Liam for being so open and sharing his story. Fair play to her for being up front soon after they met. I think that speaks volumes and the fact they are together 11 years later, good on both of them.
I’ve just returned from my first trip to Pattaya and Thailand all together. I met girls in bars, on the streets and the apps. I had a tinder date and within 2 hours of meeting, she was asking me to pay her a monthly payment. She also said that she “didn’t need to work atm”! So who knows how many blokes were already paying her. She was gorgeous and I still told her to p**s off! When we were chatting on tinder, I asked her if she was a working girl because everyone on there is. She got very upset and offended that I’d asked that. Turns out that’s exactly what she was though 🤦🏻♂️

I have thought about this subject many times in the past. I came to the conclusion that if there wasn't guys like this- then there would not be any females trying their luck. They dream big because they see other people hitting the lottery. If one girl hits the lottery in a relationship then all the girls think they can hit the lottery too. 😂

as a long term resident of Thailand I can tell you that "if" you're the type to drink in the pool bars you are going to meet a lot of girls who are very friendly and that grab your attention and your affection. Over the years I learned to build up a short-list of 3-4 that I visited when I went drinking and I stuck with these girls and got to know them. Were it not for the job they did any one of them would have been worth having a serious relationship with. Whether that relationship works or not depends more on the 2 individuals and their compatability - we all have a past. It's also surprising just how many Thai girls have at one time or another 'tried" freelancing or bar work - almost always out of financial necessity. They can though and they do make excellent g/f's if you are careful who you choose to spend your time with.
"We all have a past" This is the biggest mistake men make when trying to rationalize wifing up a woman with a high body count. "It's ok if she has monetized her sexuality because I've slept around too. " Men and women are very different and the number of intimate partners affects women much more than men in a very negative way.

She contacted him first, you know they send a generic message to every guy on that app looking for responses. The agent was probably talking to numerous guys on her behalf. It`s a game of numbers to hook a chump. But if he`s happy, up to him, as they say.
It's understandable to feel protective and defensive, especially if you suspect someone might be taking advantage of you. Online dating can sometimes feel impersonal, with generic messages being sent out to multiple people. If Liam is happy with the situation, that's what matters most, by know means does it means he is a chump as you put it.
She made the right choice….had she appeared on screen u can imagine the idiot trolls having a field day….I recognise her etc etc and all that bullshit…. Glad it worked out for the guy 👍🏻

I would do a follow up interview with this guy in a few months (or years) to check whether it is still working out, because some of these women are in the long game. They can appear genuine for months (even years) then suddenly, she's leaving you and taking everything she can. I know there are good ones over there, but I can assure you some of the bad ones are EXTREMELY patient. Nonetheless, I sincerely hope I'm wrong.

Great story, in my experience there are 2 sorts of bargirls, 1 looking for love and will commit 100% to a loving relationship and the other just after gold and latest iphone. Great you got the first type. Someones past shouldnt mold their future, I know a few mates who long term married years successful to ex bar girl. Where I know 2 guys who married hiso girls who had regular jobs one in government who were demanding, ungrateful and now divorced.

Wow. That had to be a punch in the gut on his first visit. He's right, though. We all have a past, and for those of us over 40, particularly me, if I think of how many women I chased and dated in my late teens, twenties and thirties it would scare me to death. Good for them. I wish them much happiness in the future. True love and commitment is more difficult to find than ever these days, and if two people manage to find it, regardless of previous circumstance, God bless them.
one thing i would have to add is -- his wife in that many years in the industry had seen and more than likely had experience a lot of situations with her customers that could cause her to hate and mistruss all men and not want to risk a chance! congratulations to her and you for overcoming your personal emotional hurtles to gain what we all want in an ideal relationship.
