Sentenced to thirty years at seventeen. I don't care about "just before eighteen". If you're going to prison that long. You killed at least one person.
All felonies in Texas are a minimum of 25 years of jail time. You can get a felony sentence by getting 3 DUIs, stalking, aggravated assault, intoxicated assault, grand theft, and aggravated robbery (as examples). This is also San Antonio so the likelihood is more likely that he was committing some form of theft/was previously caught for being a thief and got out and did it a few more times until he was caught at 17. You don't necessarily have to kill someone to be put away for that long. Not excusing the behavior but there are other ways to go to jail for 30 years. 😅
2nd degree felonies in Texas have a max time of 20 years and it's common that deals are struck for 10 years amd for 1st offenses less time plus probation is a common plea down with a good attorney
I dunno about that. If he was 17 going on 18 in the wrong courtroom, he could've been "made an example of" and gotten a harsh (but not unreasonable) sentencing as an adult. It COULD even be a weed charge and he wouldn't rat on his buddies or something.
@@Jonas-lj8ul If it was unfair, it certainly would have been mentioned in the video. How many people with a 30 year sentence do you think are simply “examples?” That’s pretty rare compared to the number of people committing horrible crimes
@@Jonas-lj8ulHaving less than 4oz of weed (most regular users don't carry more than a few ounces) is not a felony in Texas, it's a misdemeanor and he'd more than likely get a year in jail. Even if he had 5 pounds of weed, you'd only get 2-3 years and a fine. He more than likely is a previous convict, assaulted someone in any way, or he's a thief. I'd bet he's a thief personally because it's San Antonio and they have some of the worst theft in the US.
"Ride or die" implies someone is sticking with the partner they had before they went to prison. This is more like hitching a trailer onto the car as it's gone off a cliff, and climbing in.
"As a bigger woman I am self-conscious of putting myself out there" has red hair, has purple hair, has purple wig with shiny thing stuck to her head....yeah she's really worried about putting herself "out there". She's more worried about the energy it will take to actually get her off the chair and out anywhere.
@@Aletdinov it's a real sad thing but there are some violent offenders that get smaller sentences than someone selling/smuggling substances with zero violence
One thing about US prisons, is they basically give the prisoners subsistence-level food to live on, but they can buy snacks and consumer goods if they have money in something called a "canteen" account. The thing is, you can't really put your own money in that account, (unless you are earning through work IN the prison) but people outside can put money in your account. I'm afraid prisoners get into these relationships just so their gf/bf feeds their fund, and once they are out, they will never see them again.
Agreed, I viewed it as the NBA JAM narrator. "She's spilling out of her open-toed sandals like a Christmas ham" ~she's heating up!~ "Bitch, you Asian?" ~SHE'S ON FIRE!!~ "It was a voice jerk off situation, he wasn't jerking it to that arm" ~BOOMSHAKALAKA~
Oh please, prisoners don't pay for prison. The state, taxpayers, pay for prisons. Sure the state will hand you a bill when you're released. Sure they'll garnish your wages till the "debt" is paid but, no worries, it is way, way less than what it actually cost the taxpayer... per person.
You’re no longer sent to prison for simple possession unless you are on parol or certain probation. It’s because you have a lot and/or many serious convictions already. It all varies by state, which I imagine Australia’s state’s laws vary. Some states have things like three strikes laws. So, if you already have a robbery, a rape, then a third strike puts you away. Unless you’re trans. Laws are much more lax for them. Sentences are smaller and you can’t get charged even for some crimes. Assault being one. I worked in the court system for many years.
@@bullschitt3666 Prosecutors and judges don’t want to put trans people away because of political pushback. DA’s are elected and judges are elected. The crime has to be pretty serious and even then they’re afraid to prosecute and sentence. Trans activists are powerful and loud. DA’s and Judges want to be re-elected.
Yeah, what Wikipedia doesn't say is that you get charged for theft: prison clothes; destruction of government property: breaking something to escape, they don't charge you for the attempted escape but charge you for different things.
15 years? If she doesn't cut some weight soon, she's not gonna make it to his parole date. Also, she says she's seen other prison wives, but she doesn't say that most "prison wives" are dudes.
If they married over the phone he must be in a very high security prison. They can face time from prison. Prisons make bank off making it very expensive.
I hadn't heard of this either, but apparently "pay to stay" is currently in practice in 40 US states. Florida, for example, charges $50 per day of sentence, which means prisoners who are released early must continue to pay even though they are not occupying the cell anymore. In practice this means Florida corrections are receiving double, triple or even quadruple payments for a single cell, at least in theory. Not surprisingly, delinquency rates on these debts is really high. The corrections system in the US is insanely evil, but this is a new low even for them.
@XXXX-yc6wv yup, this is true. I just heard about that recently, and it blew my mind. The fact that evil stuff like that is being done in the modern day especially, and is completely ignored. Just like the insanely high rates of grape and extortion in many prisons (and no not just p3dos, but anybody perceived as weak can get it too) are also ignored. Even though the prison staff know what is going on, and many times, the victims tell their family, alongside the staff as well, but they can do nothing. Also, the inmates extorting them sometimes call the victim's family themselves, which is all recorded. But nobody does anything. We need severe prison reform. And the more I learn about the worse it gets.
I haven't either, I'm in a state that apparently is one of the 40 but we still pay like 2 billion a year for prisons. So idk man, gotta look at it more. But I don't hate the idea.
This poor woman is going to be in a world of hurt, eventually. It’s pretty sad, man, because we all know he’s going to do her wrong. She should just work on herself or something, because she seems like a very nice person.
In US you can’t smoke in 99% of prison but cigarettes are used as currency since they’re contraband. In fact that makes them more valuable. Everything available in the commissary is used as currency for everything from ass to your life.
He is serving about 30 years and hes been in jail since he was 17. and it is SUPER HARD to find what his record is as to what he did to land in jail but 30 years is nothing to snort at, its something serious.
Don't forget that the stats on why people are in prison in the US can be manipulated too. Just because someone is in prison "for drug possession" doesn't mean that was actually the worst of what they did. They will often plea down the bigger charges and go away on just the drug charges even if they did more things and worse things
You know Bearing need to be drunk of out his mind to search for sh*t like this. No sane person goes "Lemme check the internet for the weirdest stuff this week" sober.
AKSHUALLY MANY TEUER WORDS HAVE BEEN SPOKEN. You are just WRONG on this one so maybe just stop with the misinformation. (This was just a joke, proving your point that people will always correct others in the comments)
Nope her mom had the same exact droopy saggy awful skin all over. She’s just obese in a really weird looking way and has some really bizarre areas of water retention. Probably because of her more unique mixed genetics. Loose skin from weight loss does not look like her skin. I worked as a medical PT (working with people medically diagnosed and prescribed exercise) and saw hundreds of people lose a ton of weight and have loose extra skin. None of them looked like her.
I am an American. I have unfortunately been to prison in the great state of New Mexico and they definitely didn't come after my stuff. They do pay you like 75 cents per hour with a high paying job, and I was always under the impression that was like us paying our way for being there. Because inmates do everything. Electric work, plumbing, construction, all of it. And it would cost them A LOT of money if they had to pay the inmates what that work is actually worth. You know, like people. And no, you can't smoke in prison anymore. It's bullshit. Yes food is like currency in prison. Like junk food of any kind. Candy, chips, that stuff. Ramen is like the penny of prison currency.
Yes, people do go to prison in the US for weed. It was way more common 10-20 years ago but unless you're trafficking large amount you're not going to jail for weed anymore. Other drugs you can but it also depends on the state you're in.
My sister was a correctional officer for a little while and wound up marrying someone that is in prison until 2040. She is now in prison for introducing contraband to that state prison for him for the second time. (At least the second time that she got caught that is.) The first time she got probation because she's a single mom with two kids that were completely reliant on her. I was a correctional officer for a little while and what I realized is that everyone in there are just overgrown children and manipulators. They will try to be your friend or pretend that they love you, and prey on your insecurities to make you feel good, and eventually they'll ask for favors. They'll start small but eventually you will be doing more for that person than yourself or your kids. And if you're curious, yes. She is white and he is black.
If you're curious, he's in prison for a whole lot of fraud, theft, and robbery. Funny enough after i found his record, I found his dad's record to. The apple didn't fall far from the tree because his dad had fraud charges as well.
I also want to add that he was still breaking the law while in prison and my sister was helping. She would fly over contraband and he would sell it inside. Cigarettes, phones, sim cards, ect. The first time she was arrested was for trying to smuggle in a sim card in person not with the drone. After she was arrested the second time (while we were staying at her house on vacation to visit her and the kids) we found a box that was being shipped to brazil that had empty apple phone and airpods boxes in it. (So someone in brazil can put a fake iPhone and airpods in the real boxes to scam tourists.) IMO if she wasn't bailed out immediately after her first arrest, maybe she would have reflected on her actions and not done this.
I was wondering that too but it could just be that the counter is damaged and the finish worn off the top so you are seeing the mdf underneath. That definitely isn't a real marble counter. I have worked building mobile homes before so I know the quality of the stuff they put in them and those counters are usually just some mdf board with a pretty laminated layer on top
Prison in america is free and our prisoners are paid for thier time when they are released. However you can pay for extra services, food, junk food, video games, stationary supplies, etc
@kaydee4296 yes the money doesn't come from the sky but he said he heard that prisoners pay for thier own sentences in america, that's what I was correcting
It'll be a miracle if she lives another 15 years in the condition she's in. He's probably banking on that. The ridiculous empty promises he's making over the phone to her are pathetic & she isn't LISTENING.
@@JumpCutThis I see nothing wrong with shaming people for being disgusting and vile. Once upon a time, gluttony and sloth were rightly regarded as evils.
She seems like a sweetheart. It's a shame she can't lose... 100 pounds or more. But that begs the question: Would she be as sweet if she were thin or at least close to normal size? In other words, is she sweet BECAUSE she's massive and needs to make up for the physical deficit by being so nice? In any event, I don't think she should've married him. There are multiple ways this could end bad for her. Divorce is the least worrisome of them. Violence could be a possibility.
