For anyone else wanting to play lever less with this game you can macro throw to one of your bottom buttons and easily confirm and get super by pressing the throw, skill, and U buttons at the same time. Super helpful!
Hi diaphone, I love these mastering videos cause it helps me see learn what’s strong about each character you play. I do prefer the longer format of the other videos and hope you will upload the full matches at least for the s++ to master run. All the tips of stuff you learn in between day 1 and 2 is also super insightful! Keep up the great work homie
The cheapest part is lack of support for ps consoles. You need the adapter for ps5 and I think there are some extra steps needed for ps4, but as a pc player, it's a non issue. I love the Haute controllers.
Can vouch for the Haute leverless, got the slightly larger t16 model and it's been great. The build doesn't feel the sturdiest but feature wise it's pretty much top of the line while being among the cheapest options. You need a dongle to play on PS5 though if that's what you play on.
Seeing Dia malding because of missinputs is so funny as a beginner. Still at the same time very entertaining and educational. Thanks for the content, Dia!
I hoped Gamera got to top 8 at Cygames Cup this year, but Niers knocked him out. Wish more leverless had the WASD layout for the movement buttons. I have a Mixbox specially because of that but its pretty dang heavy. But I have read that the hitbox layout has better advantages just because of the up button being used by your thumb.
I came from keyboard where I was used to WASD as well, but ngl after a little adjustment period the hitbox layout was way nicer. I do wish there were more variants in leverless layout though, the 8 buttons in a row feels a bit clunky compared to keyboard buttons nicely clustered together, and an extra button on the left of the movement for my pinky would be sick.
Thank you for the leverless representation. Using my keyboard helped me to get into my favorite game genre. Also an additional question is what are you bindings for pad? I am interested to try it out.
Picked up a hitbox for Tekken since 8 is my first one and it felt really natural but man, learning how to use hitbox on a game I already have muscle memory for has been roughhh.
I find this character rather annoying. One hit confirm, and her skill gives her corner for free. Most Djeetas just walk away until the land a hit and then boom you’re in corner 😩
The main thing that I hate about gran and djeeta is their jump U tbh. That move is a war crime and it frequently counter hits 2H's so it feels like you have to anti air them with dps. Problem is... my character doesn't have a dp...
I started playing this game about 2 days ago, maining ferry, i am at rank S5 right now, having a lot of trouble with S1 players, i can mostly win the the entire match from far away but as soon as they get in i get mixed up to death , i feel like its going to take a lot of match up knowledge to get to Master, hell i would be well served with S++
No way near as good as Diaphone but I made the switch last year, took me about a month or so to feel confident on it. It's rough at the start lol. It's just a muscle memory thing, keep working on it!
I dont like the 8 buttons layout standard, it's so hard to reach all pf them, so my leverless use WASD for movement, 6 button for actions instead of 8, and 2 button marco is down-right from the WASD for my left thumn to easily reach it. Wish they make more customizable layout. Visually my layout is like this w 123 asd 456 78
Could always make your own hitbox. Wiring up buttons isn't hard. All you need is switches you can trust and a platform to mount it on. If you have a 3D printer you can lay out everything and put your switches in. But there was another youtuber (forget the name right now) who basically bought a $2 plastic container from a store and drilled out holes to put his buttons into. I only know how to wire up a keyboard, but a hitbox is basically a keyboard, so as long as you don't care about console compatibility you could make it work easily. You could even use regular keyboard switches, if you want some actuation resistance to prevent ghost presses, if you have that issue.
i have learned that playing multiple fighting games at the same time is not a good idea for me... Also by god i can't play Djeeta she feels so slow and can't get in. So far i've only succeeded at playing Soriz (or whatever the fighty guy is called). Am on the free version but 2B coming to the game is EXTREMELY tempting me to buy it (and then i somehow have to juggle this AND tekken 8)
Funny how our experiences vastly differ. I main Soriz and got him to masters, now I'm playing Djeeta, currently at S++. And for me it feels like Soriz is a very slow turtle while Djeeta is a crazy headless cockroach running around.
@@sonicstruggle7477 I mean yeah sure Soriz is a bit slow to approach with but as soon as i'm at medium range i can go in and they just can't push me out anymore as i keep beating on them and chipping their health away
I got back into fighting games with sf6 and got a knockoff leverless with an extra button under the main action buttons, next to up. I use that as my block button and the bottom four buttons as LMHU, I find Granblue plays pretty well like that but I occasionally fumble when I need to press the button you need for skybound. This is coming from a scrub tho. I cannot do SPDs and drop half circles on pad sometimes. I never drop half circles and get SPDs like 90% of the time in training on leverless. Rarely hit 360s in match still, but I haven't practiced THAT much.
Litterally just got a hitbox the other day. It is a bizarre switch for sure not having a stick, it messes with your muscle memory. Currently I'm trying to get better at half-circle fowards, and getting past the mental block that the button below the attack buttons is up while the one between left and right is down
the more you get comfortable with leverless the more you gonna realize that there is not disadvantages compared to pad, even in games with lots of macros like GBFVS
Going pan for dealing emotional damage lol For most fighting games I've gone leverless, but I haven't found a comfortable button layout for Granblue and find pad easier
I got scared looking at the title of this video lol, fought a Djeeta a few times recently that was learning leverless and cooked me every single time. Was probably just a meme though since they were in A rank
Edit: typos i play on leverless and i position my hand the same way i do when playing on keyboard (im a pc player) i basically position my 4 finguers in the top road covering ⏹️,🔺️R1,L1 and with my thumb i cover X, and the rest of the buttons i move only mi fingers a little to "South" and for the binding i linked the actions that i use the most on my 5 "covered" buttons: ⏹️ = L 🔺️ = M R1 = H L1 = Dash (i can literally "plink" dash-L this way) X = U O = Block R2 = SP L2= Nothing or throw (I usually use L+U to throw) and i mostly use motion inputs for special because fast specials is not a problem on hitbox
Some are banned because of particle effects, yeah. The frying pan is sometimes banned because it makes recognizing whether you hit or not much easier. (the pan has a very distinctive and loud sound when it hits. The sound isn't played on block)
I can't stand the original Hitbox Arcade button layout. I'm very glad other companies are looking into alternate button spacing because it's so incredible important for hand and wrist health. Shiokenstar layout uses 30mm buttons for attack buttons and is way better.
just got a new leverless and this game so i decided to watch this, literally 1 day into it and less than half thru the vid and he gives up on it wtf lmaooooo. Love your content usually dude but this was such a jebait. I'm sure pad is great for it and your explanations made sense and all but I was expecting you to try to force yourself to play leverless for at least more than 1 day
Mehhhh, I honestly feel kinda bad leaving this comment since I genuinely do love your attitude and content and don't mean to be a shitter, I was just so excited to play this with my new controller and don't wanna be 'talked out of it' lmao. But the top comment explains at least one way leverless has some power here too, it's all goood. I hope you try it more in other games in the future though, I'm always down to learn more minutia about how to play well on my new favorite interface type from my fav content creators
Never played a fighting game before the game looks fun but doesn't seem like many people are playing according to steamcharts are most of the players on PS5? not sure what a healthy amount of players is for a fighting game but seeing so few makes me question if its worth learning the game
above 500 players only on steam is enough for a fighting game specifically considering this has crossplay so there's ps4&5 players in the mix that are not reflected on steam charts
stick feels so bad these days. There used to be techniques like plinking or pianoing that made it worth it but they nerf or remove the need for them as time goes on, feels like a handicap these days.
@@NeoUkiyo just they don’t…? You can even ask them yourself, As they told me they don’t ship to my country so there’s no room to really contradict that, Sorry :/ Also, if they are based at the UK it’s only logical they would send to Melbourne, I’m not sure what’s the confusion about 0_o
@@mahkeemdehmah10boo87 what's your country if you don't mind me asking? I assumed if they shipped from the UK to Australia (and I've seen cases of people ordering from like the middle east/USA) that they are global. I'm sure some harder to reach countries may be excluded, but isn't that true for any company?
@@NeoUkiyo I actually would prefer not to disclose that but I can assure you every other manufacturers are shipping to my country no problem, it’s only them that don’t :/ Tho they do ship to countries I know for a fact have worse postal services and policies and even harsher postal laws. We are also not even the priciest to ship to, So I really don’t get that decision tbh. I’m happy for you that you got yours delivered and brought to you. As for myself, I’m already working on a 100% custom now so probably will never own one since that is out of the question for now.
Powder coated aluminium Vs plastic? I may be biased because I bought the overdrive, but material quality is a big factor in 'premium' Vs 'cheap' also I'm not sure if the haute ps5 compatible?
