Does anyone know why the islander server has been so dead? It’s the only good server I know and there has been barely any people on recently, is there a particular reason or is it just a general problem for isle server owners?
Your the isle videos really inspired me to try and do it myself and for every new video you make it inspires me more and more! Tysm for the great content man!!!
I agree, he makes me want to get the isle more and more. My friends tell me that it is a 4-6-8hour game per run right? Even if so i’ll be getting it and putting hundreds of hours on it.
You should try this hatchling thief series with the gallimimus. And if possible, eggs. After all, they put the gallimimus in for thay reason i believe. Also, a great idea would be to do this with a friend. Both of you are troodons, or as a sign of mutual respect between two hatcling hunters, the two of you could be a troodon and a pteranadon. But this might not seem appealing since it is mix packing technically even though things like this can happen in the wild were two animals work together as a sign of mutual respect.
Just because some animals work together doesn’t mean that direct competitors wouldn’t kill each other on first sight. The scenario is more than unlikely and aside from that it’s mix-packing as you suggested, which is quite a big issue on many servers. Herbivores grouping up for defence is something different than two predators grouping up, which makes no sense at all.
That is a fair point and a good argument. However I do know of two competitors of a moray eal and a fish that both eat the same thing so are direct competitors, yet they work together because it benefits them which would be the same situation as a pteranadon and a troodon teaming up.
@@dragonterritory1088 there are always exceptions, but in this particular scenario there’re no indicators that support your idea. It’s just nonsense to say it bluntly, considering the two species, their habitat and their probably preferred diet. Why would a mainly fish eating Pteranodon risk getting caught by a pack of Troodons. The one lives in the jungle, hunts in (probably) small groups in set territories and the other at coastal cliffs and probably migrates a lot. There’s no correlation whatsoever and it’s more likely that either would just try to eat each other rather than somehow work together with “mutual respect” which is a concept they don’t understand 🤷🏼♂️
Islander, since you are playing on your server, when you attacked the first ptera hatchling near the nest and then went for water, doesn't that means that more than 90secs passed and as such you can't engage the same group for 15min? So did you went for water and then engaged the pteras in less than 90secs? or did more than 15min had passed since your first engagement with them?
@@IslanderSims If you rly waited 15mins to go for those pteras again, then sure. Otherwise, as someone that plays on your server everyday, you can see how the 90secs rule can be a fun killer and makes both sides gameplay boring and predictable.
@@LucasSuga16 I know what you mean friend, it’s a tricky rule though, I also didn’t like it but without it, it leaves for a lot more toxic gameplay. Things I didn’t even think of at first when I asked why we don’t remove that rule
owl time showed me who you are and i was very glad i found you i love both of your content very much the only bad thing about owltime is his annual uploads LOL! jk but i love your guys stuff
Okay seriously how can you take down a Boar??? It turns towards you all the time so you can't jump it's back or anything and it oneshots me mid jump! How do you survive this???
Unfortunately, there are few nests, and thus few eggs, or rather few hatched dinos. So if troodon built on that, it would starve to death on many servers. Maybe if nesting/laying eggs/raising chicks were more rewarded (e.g. by increasing different stats or with unique stats for the hatchlings/parents), then there would be more.
nowadays i love playing troodon, but i find it really difficult to find food in the beggining... not many chickens, goats, rabbits... and huntng without poison is impossible.. how to make the diet at start?
Very cool video! Guess troodons are scavengers now? Makes sense considering how small they are. Wonder if it’s just for solo’s or if entire packs can steal from carcasses and nests..?
@gregabott5583 well I don’t think it would make a difference. the rules don’t say anything about being in or outside of a nest. Just that you have to 3-call before attacking groups that are nesting.
Oof, just read the rules for your server. I hope I manage to learn them quickly, because that was a *read* D: Never in all my 500 hours of Legacy gametime did I bother to play on a server with body down rules.. Do I have to remain with the body even if that means I'll die of thirst?
I thought it was pronounced troh-oh-don? And that sustance would be sustenance and preditation predation? Nevermind that. Good gameplay, entertaining vids!
