Last year, I went through the residency application cycle and didn't match. But I didn't let that be the end of my journey! I decided to take a research year and reapply. Watch me open my match 2024 letter to see if my hard work payed off!

Congrats!!! People deal with failing as them not being “good enough” or all that BS. My mother is a successful board certified pathologist but failed a major exam TWICE!!! She studied every 6 months harder and even harder till she fortunately passed on her third time! YOU MADE IT!!!! ❤❤❤😊so proud of you Dr. Struble 😊

Good for you. I failed step 1. I was so down. Flash forward 15 years later and I'm a successful emergency room doctor, enjoying life. We all have hurdles...and you will have more. But stick with your dreams....congratulations

Sometimes part of the journey is anticipating unplanned events, and that is part of the process, especially in schools and programs as difficult as med school!! The first time they only find out if they matched or not, but they don’t know where (specialty and program). The second time, that’s when they get to know into which specialty and which program they matched.
