A year ago I had a stroke while having heart surgery. For an English major in college, I went to not being able to access words and numbers! So much for a high achieving student! I still can not do anything involving numbers (LOL) but vocabulary is back (mostly). Challenge on!

Love this. I started memorizing scripture a couple years ago. Oh how I love it! I creat an alarm on my phone for each scripture or passage of scripture. These go off all day long, every day. I never erase one; helps me memorize and remember plus I have a laminated card for each one. My husband, Bryan, ask me these “flashcards” at night by the scripture address so I know them both ways. This is another way helping to grow my faith. ❤

Thank you for being vulnerable and showing us you struggle as well. I think I would've given up at 10 but then go down a spiral of guilt. I think we all strive to be perfect for God, but at the end of the day, the struggle is REAL because we are broken. It is because we are broken that we're in need of a savior.

Memorizing requires discipline and diligence, and a memorizing challenge requires endurance. God will surprise you in the many ways he makes use of those verses throughout your day and in your future videos. At this point, it might feel discouraging that the verses and their location in the Bible are getting muddled. Instead, be encouraged at your diligence in trying to achieve this goal. His Word is sinking into your mind and your heart in an amazing and powerful way. The words in the verses, themselves, are of key importance. The location can be looked up as needed; that is where reference tools come into play. You can complete this last leg of the challenge with God’s help and with Joe’s support and encouragement. 😊

Faith I can’t thank you enough for this video. I truly can’t. You woke up this 56 year old woman and showed me how the enemy has been keeping me away from memorizing scripture. Even just trying to do it seemed overwhelming. That was the enemy talking. The Holy Spirit does so much for us, and when you got to the end it was just such a lightbulb moment that I was holding back the sobs. Thank you so much for the free resource. I was inspired by one of your earlier videos to memorise bible verses so have been doing roughly 5 verses a month for a year now. I do the new ones for that month every day and then review the rest once a week. I use an app called Bible Memory. I'll definitely be adding the verses you suggested to my list. Thanks again.
Faith! This was so inspiring! Girl... if you enjoy making crafty Scripture cards - GO FOR IT! We are creative individuals made in God's image. There is nothing wrong with mixing pleasure (in form of craftiness) and memorizing His powerful Word. Whatever you enjoy - combining it with the Word of God is brilliant! Keep going. This was so encouraging! I too enjoy "crafting" as a motivator I guess to get back in to God's Word or to illustrate God's Word as a way for something to STICK with me...at the same time I have those voices in my head saying "this is a waste of time...why waste time doing this when ALL the time should be spent studying with a simple pencil or pen..etc. NOT tape and glue and markers and ink and stamps and ....." So what you said was so encouraging. Of course we can always get to a place of "form over substance" which isn't good either, but I appreciate that you have found also that creativity has a place in the study, memorization and joy we can receive from spending time with God's Word. And what a close your video had! Amen! Why do we think sometimes our "form" of how we study is the answer and not God's Word itself?! So so good. So awesome. I have been a faith/art journaler for years...and going through a season with 3 kids 5 and under and I just can't keep up. Or at least not like I used to. Thinking I may just switch to these cards for awhile...about to start a 12 week study at my church on Romans 8 (just one chapter)...which would be PERFECT to memorize! 🤗🤗 THANK YOU!

Recently I’ve had it on my heart to memorize more scripture. I’ve always been bad at memorizing things, but I found a way that is working very well for me. I write the first letter of each word and “read” it that way. So these past few days I’ve been writing a verse like this oh my arm, that way I see it ALL THE TIME. I’m going to try to memorize some passages this way, doing a new one each week. Thank you for inspiring me to keep going with this! ❤️🙏

God's perfect timing...I just prayed a few days ago about memorizing scripture so that I can look within when needed to speak scripture over any situation, circumstance or spiritual attack. I can relate to the struggles you spoke about during this challenge. I did the 100-day challenge of reading the God Memorandum in the book, The Greatest Miracle in the World, and had to push thru around the same time frames you spoke about. I would love to hear about how you chose your scripture for each day. I want to do this challenge myself and that seems like deciding on a scripture would be the most difficult part...initially. thank you so much for sharing your journey here. scripture memorization and Bible reading and studying has been so intimidating to me and sometimes i feel im burned out i admit there's times of several weeks where my Bible just sits untouched 😢 and still happens. before listening to this about 10 times now I wouldn't have ever thought of making cards like this. and seeing your channel always gets me back in exited to be in my Bible again. there's just something color and art with Bible studying that gets me in it and joyful doing it. now looking at my newly creative scripture cards exited to read them and look at them every day. feeding my mind and heart with God's words. ❤

These cards are SO cute! I think I would burn myself out by creating every day. Like, I feel like I'd just run out of ideas extremely fast and then it would feel like a chore. Have you always had such an amazing stamina to create? Or has that developed too? I would argue that I AM creative... but my stamina is just... not there. Maybe it's self-discipline? Cause I burn out in all these areas. Got to the end and I have tears forming. This was an incredibly moving video. Thank you for sharing, genuinely!

I am so grateful with my Lord, for putting you in my life, Faith. I’m a Catholic in love of my faith and with thirst for more, I have been doing Bible in a year for few months now and sometimes when I get discouraged about continuing or how I should approach my time with Abba in the Scriptures, your videos appear and motivate me to continue. Now, memorizing is something I would love to do, but I’ have been afraid of “my lack of memory”, but I think I’m going to start with one a week at least. May the Grace of our Lord accompany you and your family today and always.
I love you! I’m literally crying right now. Scripture memory is so important to me and I subscribe to Dwell Differently. But this is brilliant. I have been making cards for about 30 years. God knew before I became a believer that my gifts would be mercy and exhortation and that I would use my passion of making cards to encourage the body and I’m part of a ministry where I teach a team of ladies how to make cards and we mail them out to people on the church’s prayer list. I don’t plan to do one a day but maybe still only a few a month but to make 10 or so of the same verse and hand them out to challenge others to memorize too. It would reinforce the verse for me and I do believe it changes us from the inside out. I wish I could hug you. I feel like this video was just only for me. God is speaking so powerfully to my heart right now. I believe He wants me to do this. Thank you for loving Jesus with your whole heart. I’m so proud of you.

This made for a really interesting video! The editing and music was really good. My personal takeaway from watching this is to remind myself to not pressure myself to do anything “spiritual”. It might be good for a time to challenge oneself, but I know there are people out there (I used to be one of them) that feel the constant burden of daily bible reading and prayer. That burden to perform well can be damaging to the soul and relationship with God and produce anxiety. Just like how you suffered at points in this video. I hope we can all learn to be gracious and kind with ourselves and come to God and His Word when we are wanting to, and not out of feeling that we HAVE to. The Lord can teach us just as much on the days when we dont read. Sometimes taking a prolonged break from reading can help us come back with fresh eyes and gain new perspectives. Sometimes we just need a break and need rest and God gets it!!! ❤

Hey, a friend introduced me to Fast Missions, an app that has a FREE Bible memorization program. You pick what verses you want to memorize, and add more whenever you're ready - as fast or as slow as you like - then review them on the app. I love it, and I review my verses every day as I'm walking up 7 flights of stairs to work! I'm no where near 100 verses yet, so great job, Faith! Way to hide God's Word in your heart!

Literally talking from experience after finally coming out of a Spiritual Rut (I truly felt it for you at day 87).We just need to remember the ultimate goal which is serving & loving God until the end.

You made me realize it is not the number of verses I have memorized but the verses God wants me to memorize. Memorizing verses should bring us closer to God. Not drive us away from Him. Memorising Scripture... I pretty much gave up on that. I've tried every method out there. I've literally even read chunks of the Bible 50 times and written out passages 50 times. Though, I should mention here that I have chronic migraines and cluster headache (I'm sore all day, every day) and I know these can affect memory. I just can't seem to get the memorisation thing right. But I absolutely love your idea of making beautiful cards. I make journals so I think I'm going to use some of that creativity to make Scripture card. Thank you for being so raw and authentic. And thank you, thank you, thank you for being an inpiration to my in-pain-all-the-time-and-imperfect-but-loving-Jesus soul. P.S. I shared some of your videos with my husband and he has also become a subscriber. I think that's so cool. ❤
Love this! I memorized versus through a study many years ago some I remember some I don't. Doing 100 versus would send me to the heights of my anxiety. I can challenge myself to memorize the 15 versus but I will give myself 2 days per verse. To me being successful I have to do what I know is in my capabilities.

I have been thinking about memorizing the book of Esther and seeing how far l get before the end of the year. Since it's the only book of the Bible without God's name mentioned, l figured it would be a great witnessing tool. I'm armed with the knowledge that it will be a hard, but rewarding journey - wish me luck!
I tried memorizing one verse per week a few years ago. Robert J. Morgan has a book on this, "100 Bible Verses everyone should know by heart". I got to verse 68, then stopped. It started feeling like a habit, or a task, not a devotional moment. I'll probably go back to that at some point, but it is difficult. Flash cards do help, but the discipline to keep reviewing the oldest verses on the pile is HARD.
Congratulations! That is awesome! Maybe after settling in and reviewing those verses on some sort of schedule, you could switch to memorizing one new verse per week, or even one per month?

Faith - I just memorized Galations 1 - there is an audio song on RU-vid that you can listen to repeatedly (do this when cooking, cleaning, walking, brushing teeth! :) and before you know it - it's hidden in your heart :)
Faith, I also have been convicted to hide God's word in my heart. I have always justified not memorizing verses because I have a terrible memory (and I mean terrible and it has nothing to do with my age 😂) but I was inspired by a video that came up in my suggestions from Susan Heck about memorizing large portions of scripture. She has the entire New Testament memorized. I decided to give it a try and memorized a verse a day through the whole book of Colossians. I was so encouraged by it, that I have continued on (but not a verse a day anymore) and am currently working on Romans (up to Chapter 9 so far). I never thought it was possible but God is so good to enable us for what He has called us to do. It is so much easier doing chapters or books because all of the thoughts flow together and you don't have to remember individual references! Since you did 100 verses, you did the equivalent of the book of Colossians already! You should give it a try!
I love your crafty Bible verse cards! I'm sure they act as a visual prompt to help you remember the Scriptures a bit easier. There is nothing wrong with crafting as long as you're focusing on Christ while you're working. Thank you for being REAL! There are SO MANY fakes out there, and watching your videos is refreshing.
Until I watched you getting "crafty" doing scripture study, I had never done more than read my scriptures. For the past couple of years, junk journals have been my love and stress relief, and watching you, I had an aha moment and realized if I combine the two I will spend more time with my scriptures. This year is the first time in 50 years I have a new love and understanding of God's word. Now my scripture bag goes everywhere with me because I can't get enough and can't wait to learn more so squeeze the time in whenever I can.
I absolutely love the idea making the note cards, but I would maybe do it weekly. "The power of memorizing scripture isn't actually in the person who is memorizing, it's in the power of the word of God-It's in the power of our good God and His gracious love on us❤❤❤
New Christian here, and just started memorizing some verses last week. Several weeks ago a mentor from church told me that she thinks it's time I start memorizing scripture. I didn't want to and ignored her advise bc I'm terrible with memorization. but been so busy with my kids (a 2 year old and 4 month old) and for some reason I started memorizing Psalm 23 while making dinner and it was so calming. And it was easy. I memorized all of it by dinnertime. So I memorized John 3:16 and Matthew 11:28-29 and now I'm excited to find my own verses to memorize bc I love reciting them during the day while I do housework or if I'm stressing. Automatic remedy for stress, anxiety, and I'm sure if I couldn't sleep it would help there too! I'm addicted!!! Downloaded an app, Versify ... Really helpful.
Thanks for sharing! Keep up the discipline… but maybe not the pace. I try to memorize about a verse a week. I think I’ve averaged about 40ish new verses each year for the last 3-4 years. (I memorize slowly 🤷🏻♂️) It’s been so beneficial to my spiritual growth! My prayer life, Bible study, preaching have all benefited. Most importantly it’s changed how I think. Bible meditation is everything scripture claims.
💁♀️Proud of you. I think I’ll try one verse a WEEK and at the end of a year I’ll have 52. I’ll have to ask the Holy Spirit to bring them to my remembrance! 😊💕
What a Beautiful video! 100 days is SOO much! Glory to the Lord Almighty for His Grace IS truly sufficient for us so that we can endure! How did you find the time to do it daily or when you were sick? It would be GREAT if you would make an album or an archive online for us to see all these beautiful cards and be inspired and just as Hebrews 12:1 says, to have these as a “great cloud of witnesses” to help us persevere in hiding God’s true Word in our hearts!
