Also to comment on the drive mode gripe, yes you can set the mode and then toggle to it. Set it up by pressing the cobra emblem on the steering wheel when the car is in park and customize your settings completely and then every time you toggle the switch toggle it to the cobra emblem and your setting is saved, it’s super easy and honestly shouldn’t be a complaint weighing in what you get pound for pound with this car.

If you're only doing 8-10 mpg, you need to learn how to drive your GT500. Modes are customizable and you can program however you want them. Not sure about it defaulting to it on start up, but you can program your exhaust to quiet mode on start up every time. Minor things for an awesome car. It isn't perfect, but compare it to the Dodge and Chevy pony cars, and it is superior.

Currently own a C6 vette which I love. Shes got a couple goodies on her with plans on 700ish HP. Basically almost paid off and I know I’ll be looking at another car to join the stable not long after. I really would like to broaden my horizons on something other than corvettes at some point. I absolutely love corvette but change sometimes is good. Been thinking C7 Grand Sport/Z06 to sit next to the old C6 or sometimes I look at these videos in awe of what the GT500 truly was. The C6 is a manual and next toy more or less will probably be an auto. A 700 HP manual C6 is enough for me to go through the gears and rip around town. It sure would be nice to see potentially one of these next to my girl in the garage. Who would’ve thought a Chevy and Ford in a relationship together 😂. Only the future will have the answer.

Mustang are a love hate relationship.. but overall its more love than hate. If you treat them good, they will be good to you. if you treatem like trash, well. they reflect their owners. Mustangs above all have something even supercars and exotics typically dont have.... TONS of CHARACTER. as mentioned Mustangs directly reflect their owners. They are indeed fickle, not perfect, rough around the edges, cheap in areas, but in all that, it makes for character. a soul. more so than most cars, and their manufactures that strive to eliminate such things. It could be said that a Mustangs best assets derive from its flaws. No other car speaks so much to its owner. ANd thats why so many people love the mustang, and why so many things like cheap interiors can be forgiven, because its not the supermodel, its average girl next door that dresses up for the prom and blows the pretty chicks out the water. Its michael Rodrigues in fast in the furious. a ride or die chick.

My 69 428cj probably got that kind of fuel mileage but I didn't care because you could get fuel for way less than 50 cents a gallon. I could go more than 90 miles on a tank though. Lol I never tried to get anyone in the back seat but I don't think I could have. Your car looks so much like the 69, except the nose is a better design. I did have a manual gear box though, but only 4 gears. That is definitely not a daily driver.

I agree that the mustangs interior could be better material wise. And if anything possibly make it optional from factory. standard and premium interior offerings. ANd ford could very well go thru a third part mustang manufacture like Saleen to do such a thing. It reminds me of when the s350 mustang concept debuted with the Giugiaro design and interior, it was AMAZING even to this very day. such an offering i believe would see many orders. as many people with such premium mustangs like the Shelby's or Saleens would love to see their cars on a much higher plain than the normal mustang. A premium car both inside and out. as for the next generation mustang i dont think theyre going to change much at least not until the very next model. which at that point would be a truly all new car. The current Mustang is one that A LOT of people like. so i doubt they want to run from that. BUT the next generation mustang must hit all targets. AND it would have to have both an EV and V8 offering. One could assume the standard production mustangs will indeed be EV's acquiring much from its Mach-e sibbling. ANd the V8 will be the lower volume produced car. which is fine. because if that EV is tesla level fast. ALOT of people will want it even without the rumble of the V8.

The car, which costs $125k marked up, that you bought, then decided to complain about…. On YT. Why? You think the vast majority of people on here would care about the way the speakers look if they stumbled upon enough money to afford this car? I’d kill to have a GT500. I Don’t have the 2020 gt500 (bouta get a 22 anniversary) but have a 65 cobra had a 19 gt prem plus have a 70 Mach one and had another old gt500 that was supercharged don’t remember the year off the top of my head. I have vets Camaros and even used to have a viper there gets a point where you simply cannot drive a manual at speeds and high torque/hp especially since the suspension (on the gt500 specifically even with the track pack) is so bouncy it’s not a fuckin mclaren senna it’s still a mustang. It’s extremely dangerous to be shifting on a corner when your doing 2-3x the limit the auto keeps your hands on the wheel I don’t disagree I love manuals it’s more engaging more fun and personally I think better than autos but it’s ridiculously dangerous bc half you mfs cant even drive a 460 hp gt much less a 760hp supercharged cobra. And I don’t think the gt350 owners understand that the 5.0 will gap the fuck out of them bc Shelby’s have shitty low end but good too speed at least in comparison. Now a built 350 is a different story so is the new 500 bc the supercharger solves that low end problem and makes the car a fuckin rocket. Also you can fbo and get over 1000hp on the new 500 just put vmps new intercooler for heat soak reduction on it and flash tune her she’ll rip like a fuckin 1200hp gtr 😂😂

Dude. You’re driving a GT500, a track car for the road. GPS? Who cares. Back seat? It’s a spots car. Stick? Ford doesn’t want people wrapping these around light poles or trees. Interior buttons? Sell your GT500 and go buy an Audi coupe. This car is not for you.
@xevious2501
@xevious2501 2 года назад
theres two very obvious reasons why Ford did not give the GT500 a manual. despite the love for a manual, fact is the percentage of people that want manuals (like myself) is less than a quarter percent than those that cant drive manual. In other words todays generation of drivers suck!!! 2nd is the fact that the GT500 with a manual would post slower times in comparison to the DCT. and slower times is not a good selling point for the car that is capable of achieving far better with the dct. 3rd is the fact that with over 700bhp, people with manuals would destroy their transmissions and fry their clutches. which would be a huge complication for warrantee issues. 4th. GT500's with manuals would get alota people into alot of trouble. And lastly their is a better option... Getting a GT350R with a supercharger. The GT500 is arguably the better car, but it could also be viewed as an apples and oranges situation. The GT350 and R variant are amazing drivers vehicles, with a glorious manual transmission. all the car needs is more power, hence supercharge it. And your likely to be faster than the GT500. only issue.. the GT500 would still be the more valuable car down the road, as its the pinnical shelby mustang, not lacking the GT350's track performance edge. Unlike GT500 of the past which were all sorts of wrong, striaight line only rockets with nose heavy iron block engines. this GT500 is a Porsche GT3 RS killer. THe shelbys have become Race cars again. Ford basically took the playbook from Saleen, and ditched the muscle car dragracing only antics.

I agree with all of those things. Especially the back seat. I am 6ft2 and I had to sit in the back of a S550 and my head was on the roof and my knees in my chest. Not good at all. Seat delete go for it

Gee, I wonder maybe if you drove in ANY drive mode OTHER THAN TRACK MODE you might get more fuel economy than 8 mpg!!!! If you want a manual, buy a used gt premium then spend 15k in upgrades then you can have a supercharged stang that will have motorsport suspension and 750 hp that will keep up with any gt500 and 1/3 the cost and every bit as capable.

I mean considering they source a Tremec for the GT350/Mach1, you’d think they could’ve sourced one for the GT500. I’m sure Tremec makes a trans that could handle the power/torque.

Gotta love the guy who drops 80-100k on a car then proceeds to give you a list of complaints on it! I’ll gladly take it off your hands and never say a bad word about it! Lol! People can’t even afford rent and this guy grips over the navigation system.

My bad about The Long Poor Man's Porsche storyline anyways FORD just simply needs to squeeze a bigger at least 20 gallon gasoline tank under the Mouse Stang Yes misspelled Mustang on purpose too go further regardless of MPGS LIKE My old 97 Grand Cherokee ZJ The 4.0 I6 million mile engine BTW got around 14 to 20 MPG and The,5.2 V8 received around 11 mpg All The the especially AC on Lucky to see 14+ mpg on highway so The gave it a full sized pickup Truck gas tank huge ,,,,23 Gallon gas tank which was enormous for a mid sized SUV at the time or even in today's standards so therefore let me do 450 to over 500 miles to a tank
