In a way tho It is all connected. Tyler uses the color yellow as a safe color in the lore. I’m sure that stims from real life experiences. Maybe he remembers looking at them Yellow dashes in the road before someone yelled at him and snapped him out of it, and in that second said thank God I’m still here. I am safe 💛 Same with all the reference to lights, and torches all come from what he experienced that day… makes Josh being the torchbearer in the lore even more absolutely magical and amazing.. because in real life I’m sure Josh is a huge part of his healing. A huge part of what saved him.

I agree with most of the other commenters. 1) YOU ARE NOT STUPID. Far from it. In fact it takes a human who is decidedly unstupid to come up with the previous analysis on the previous reaction video. 2) YOU ARE CREATIVE. An unimaginative civilian would not have been capable of creating that previous anaylsis. 3) YOU ARE RIGHT-MINDED. You did the right thing by returning to the scene of the crime and making amends. A genuine appology in 2024 is a rare thing, and yours was real and authentic. So in summary, not stupid, definitely creative, super right-minded. Well done.

The real life meaning of the song hit hard gor me, but I think there are side parts that are part lore/canon. For example I feel like calling out the yellow stripes in the road may make this part of the banditos' origin story. Like there is an understanding all of them have been near death in Dema but escaped. And the yellow is therefore an acknowledgement and empowers them.

I always think Tyler has double and triple meanings to songs sometimes...real life and lore, etc..i tend to think he does that a lot..so no worries❤

OK two things. Wait, three things. 1. You’re not stupid. You can’t even process what you’re looking at the first time you watch the video so you need to name your inner critic and tell that crazy lady to sit down. 2. I am hoping to go to four shows too, and I will be at the Nashville show because I live in Chattanooga. I don’t see what the problem is with that. What’s up, husband? 😂 My husband is wanting us to go to Colorado because it’s our wedding anniversary and the first show of the tour. Fingers crossed we can make that one happen and the Georgia show and maybe the Raleigh show in addition to Nashville. 3. The bass in trench was literally the best thing about it and that’s my favorite album of all time so I totally agree that the Bass is making me get so pumped.

I loved your raw reaction. And to be fair to yourself Clancy did appear so it isn’t totally weird to look for lore mentions and connections. I think they love to always sprinkle some lore in their videos. Even though the main story is different I think your initial interpretations are still valid :)

I have said this before, but I will reiterate that I don't think the lore and the deeper meaning are at all disconnected but rather that the deeper meaning is the driving force behind the lore. The lore is a method of conveying his feelings and thoughts as a third person. But that is just my opinion.

I mean to be fair, it is about an attempt, but I feel like you can still equal it to the lore. I think the video made it so much more harder for me to listen to. I legit became very misty eyed.

Documentary!!! YES!!! I used to be a concert photographer and lighting director for album covers for a record label i can’t name but because of that connection i could usually go up to security tell them who i was and what i did and could i speak to someone about getting a press pass for still photography and access to the security barricade and side stage access. These weren’t small shows either. I think in all the years i did this i was only told no 3 or 4 times. Usually because they wanted to speak to the label i worked for and as this was the early to late 90’s. Cell phones were hit and miss. My point though is i will be going to shows on the west coast to Arizona and Nevada. Obviously i don’t do that work anymore but i still have the connections and have used them many times so maybe just maybe i can get the kinda access that would really help you out. Especially if i plan ahead and not just walk up at the show and ask. If interested let me know

Personally I don't think you were wrong as I don't agree with the consensus that there are no lore references in this song. Has this actually been confirmed? Yes it's about a panic attack that made him run into the road and he thought he may as well end things there and then, but there's no way the yellow dashes and lights isn't also a reference to the yellow tape and Bandito torches. There are no coincidences with Tyler's writing, it's always 'both, and'.
