Really love how you show the hidden sides of Korea ! And this man with such a clear mind and strong will to hike that mountain at his age! It's mind-blowing!
강씨 is such a special soul. I'm not as sharp as him even on my best days lol. I loved seeing you listen so intently and connect in such an authentic way.
I think you are linguistically gifted. I lived there for a year and honestly could probably only say hello, good bye and how much does it cost...lol...And my fellow Canadian friend was speaking in whole sentences. Some people have the gift, others....
love your content man! the best travel blog i’ve seen by far ! you have a respect for humans, and a willingness to learn and be open to new ideas and cultures! people have forgotten what life is all about because of technology...it’s about meeting interesting people, sharing ideas, and connecting in person ! much respect
It seems like he studied a lot when he was young, both in terms of his ability to use the words he speak and his ability to think. I came to the US in my mid-20's and have been living here for 41 years now, and i think his English speaking skills are at a much higher level than most who have lived here for a long time. BTW, I saw a video of you drinking Makgeolli on a bus. You probably know that in the US you can't drink any kind of alcohol in outside and I bet even in your homeland as well. This is probably same in any other countries. I hope you may need to pay more attention to that in the future and especially on video that will be exposed to the people. Thank you for the content. Good luck, Dan
This was my favorite conversation i've every had, such a wise young man and definitely gave me a lot of things to think about. YAY! Another person coming to Korea!!! :)
Thanks for replying Dan,it's lovely to here your warm northern accent and humour,a lot like the Midlands,I'm a blackcountry wench.looking forward to watching more of your videos.x
Yup, that's the way we get into a more deep interaction with people. More basic we get, we're getting closer to the fundamentals of human reactions and part of our human itself.
Bro i think you need to do 2 videos per week because every time i join your youtube channel i watch 2-3 whole videos and now im out of content to enjoy lol! Anyway, thank you for showing us Korea! Random video suggestion: what can 10 dollars get you in Seoul 2023
thanks for watching so many of my videos, if i can do youtube full time i will definitely make more videos every week!! When i get over 100k subs i will consider it!!
@@whereisdan ah, yeah man. Definitely a trivial one to best capture the essence of the video and get the algo working in your favour! The content does the heavy lifting anyway. Loving it!
That older gentleman is amazing, what an interesting conversation. I hope Joe Rogan doesn’t see this video because he’ll soon have him on as a guest telling him about bow hunting and how he invented the spinning back kick
Kang's view of the physical-mental age, which is not outdated by contemporary Korean intellectual currents, is not so much New Age as it is related to modern interpretations well known to Koreans of traditional Korean and Buddhist thought.
Gwanak is sketchy, been there a few times. I thought we weren't allowed to drink up mountains anymore, that a rule or did I misremember something? Or do people just do it anyway?
I'm sure it wasn't intentional and didn't know any better. But korean culture if someone offers you food they aren't offering it because they don't want it. They are genuinely being kind. For you to say "mashi obsoyo" is rude. Even if you had said "amu mashi obsoyo" it would have been better. But if someone offers you something just pretend to like it and move on. Difference between american and korean culture.
i've actually never met an older person that spoke english to that extent! heck is she doing on the side of a mountain? stop giving her drinks. she needs to get down from there safely.
When you say Heajangguk and Doenjangguk,, You better emphasis on the first letter 'Hae' or 'Doen', and the letters follow are the same 'jangguk' you can even mumble 'jangguk' part . I'm sorry but when I hear what you said, it sounds like 'Haonjangguk', Next time, just shout 'Hae' and 1 sec of silence and say 'jangguk'.
Wow what an amazing man. He had me thinking about the Palestinians and the horrors they are going through now. That all that have lost their lives are coming back tenfold to tell the truth and Palestine will live on. 🇵🇸🇰🇷
