As a Once, I don't have a bias in Twice (too difficult to choose one🤦🏽‍♂️) but when it comes down to best all round female idols in all kpop, I honestly put Jihyo at the top of that list. Her Vocals,dance,stage presence and performance,visuals. She is one to emulate. Not putting any other idols down, because they're all talented. But Jihyo is up there. Hwasa is another favourite too.

Jihyo's Zone was my most played album of 2023 and it came out in August. No wonder people are asking for it !

And one thing i want to add is South American Once alway claiming Jihyo as latina girl because of her unique tanned visual , on that reason Jihyo making song in her album called "Closer" that contain Latin style chorus and yes it going hurt you lil bit if you watch that perfomance 😂

I've been waiting for you to react to this for a while 😆 Always love to hear your analyses of the girls' songs! I got into KPOP because I was captivated by how Jihyo performs--as much as I love the song and the MV what lives in my mind rent-free were her performance stages. I'd heavily recommend watching her Musicbank stage as well as her performance video of Killin' Me Good. Would also EXTREMELY SUGGEST watching her live performances of her B-side Closer, it's been months and I /cannot/ stop thinking about them. My favorite would be her Musicbank stage, but the fandom's favorite is her Inkigayo stage.

I liked that her solo really highlighted what an amazing dancer she is and the energy she brings on stage. I would recommend the Lee Mujin Service episode with Jihyo, you get to see her live vocals.

The lyrics are amazing! The beginning and middle, everything seems fine, it's a new relationship. No two relationships are ever the same so any new relationship will feel new. Always a different dynamic. To begin with, a good kind of different, a high, a fun thing. But the last part...this says something like nobody had ever made her RAGE like that before, something else that is new to her. Jihyo trained in SM longer than anybody else (literally began her training at 8 years old and debuted with Twice at 18 years old) so she knows ALL the stuff about being an Idol. That is why most of the members voted her Group Leader after Sixteen had chosen all the members and the dust had settled (all of the members voted for who should lead. I think it is interesting to note that Jeongyeon, the 'Mom' of the group, took Second Place).

the story in the MV is that she’s dating a foreigner and that the relationship feels so good because she’s never felt like this before (it’s killin her good😉”) BUT THEN the man goes back to his country and they’re in a long distance relationship but he begins being more&more distant (pun intended) so she’s upset and sad in the end she’s too hurt and decides to dump him (which made me very happy because now we’re happily married) also at the very beginning when she’s on the phone she said “did you arrive ?” then he asked her if she was busy so she said “no, i was just watching TV”. so that phone call happened when he just got back to his country

I'm on the fence about the confusion I got with the lyrics vs the video. So I like your take that it adds to the narrative that being in a comsuming feeling of love can also be toxic. The lyrics doesn't say it, but the mv explores that possibly 🤔 I also don't think you'll survive the performance video of Killin Me Good 😅
