@@hmendez6777 a lot... I just missed the solid feel of this thing. Super planted, love the design in and out... such a sturdy all time 4wd rig... overbuilt and last year. I’ll elaborate much more in a future video though. =]
I knew it all along brother...last year model to be made for U.S. , I would hold on to this one no matter what happens imo ... congrats on the new ride !!
Definitely has issues...whether he has the money or not it is insane to keep doing this... not insane but foolish No vehicle is worth this much money that is indeed insane.
@@UntamedMotors It is foolish no matter who does it. If for your channel then I guess its good for you but regardless you also know that it is silly under almost any circumstance to do this.
Nothing wrong with coming back to a good car/truck. I've had 10 miatas, 4 M3's, 3 Tundras, 3 Tacomas, 2 4runners, and 2 Corvettes. Many were different generations, but still. Love my 21' HE in silver with 3rd row and glad you came back to LC. Great content as always.
These LC200 design looks better than those leaked photos of LC300, perhaps it will grow on me overtime but right now LC200 looks more classic land cruiser.
As a previous owner of 2 4runners ‘04 v8 and ‘14 trail edition…i totally understand your loyalty to Toyota. In 2016 I traded in my 2014 for a ram 1500…I simply have no regrets. I have 3 kids all teenagers so you are/will be in similar status. The one thing I’ve realized is that I purchased vehicles in the moment and not really contemplating the kids getting older and larger. The ram is by far the widest width wise for the kids in second row. As a parent, I would never put my kids in 3rd row because of the fear of being rear ended. I too have thought about the TRX, but coming from a ram 1500 Laramie owner, I too had reservations about an FCA. But after 5 years of ownership of my v8 hemi…it has by far been the best purchase. I’ve had zero problems and I do my own maintenance. My leather (pleather) seats have held up extremely well too. I merely change oil once a year using royal purple synthetic motor oil. I too have ko2’s (on my second set). When you outgrow the land cruiser, I’d consider a new ram 1500 limited. The rear seats recline and your kids will not outgrow. Additionally, having a bed to transport bikes, gear, Home Depot visits, buying furniture far outweighs the limited space of a suv IMO. Btw - I also have an X5…guess which is my favorite and the kids…not the X5. Congrats on the beautiful LC.
You stuck with Toyota! Great choice! My wife and I switched over to a Tundra AG and she chose a 4Runner MGM and we are loving it! Came over from Volkswagen. (Previously owned toyotas before that tho lol) Love you channel! Keep up the great content.
Outstanding! Few things... 1) I also have a 2021 Magnetic Gray Metallic LCHE...except I got the third row (which became an option for the HE in 2021). I wrestled with this decision but ended up going with it because it folds to the sides very nicely for lots of storage space and you can easily remove it if you truly need all of the room. Win-win. 2) Adjusting for the cost of the third row, I paid about the same price as you. Congrats, because you and I are amongst the few that got these for several thousand below MSRP. Right now, the last ones are listed for $10K-$20K over MSRP. 3) I also got 285/65 K02s installed (Discount Tire installed mine...no scratches). That's as big as we can go with the stock setup. 4) Toyota initially said only 1,200 would be built, but then they did a 2021 with two new colors and a third row option...and added another 1,200 (I guess, but haven't heard this # could confirmed), potentially pissing off the 2020 owners that took their initial press release to heart and found out, after they bought theirs, that there would A) be twice as many built as they thought B) they could have had silver or gray if they had waited and C) could have had a third row. I was almost one of these people since I was guaranteed the first 2020 LCHE but I ended up passing on it and I got the last 2021 from my dealer instead. 5) I heard from another dealer that they only made 100 in our color, but 200 is still super rare...and, if we assume 50/50 on the third row option, then only 100 of each of our color/configs. Only ~50 each if the 100 # is correct. 6) Now that it's discontinued in the US after 62 uninterrupted years, values will go up on this legendary vehicle...and they already have. Even if they reintroduce it in the US in the future, it will never be as a V8, let alone a naturally aspirated one. That's huge for LC aficionados. 7) This legendary vehicle is super cool as a "vintage" model. Nothing cooler than letting the years turn it into one, with you still having it in your garage as the original owner. I have no plans to sell mine...ever. They are simply not making them like this anymore. Same goes for the naturally aspirated, manual transmission 2022 (992) 911 GT3 that I just ordered from my dealer...but that's another story. ;) 8) I'll be interested to see what you do with yours. I have big build plans for mine. So far I have done the tires, rock sliders, wrap, and ceramic coat. Next year I will do a new suspension/lift (thinking IKON Stage 7), bigger tires, bumper with tire swing gate, auxiliary fuel tank, front bumper, winch, new rack, lights, air compressor... Cheers 🤘
Absolutely love the new rig 😍😍😍 Legit drooling🤤🤤 Congrats brother💪🏻 Always said. Once you get a land cruiser, you see everything differently! Best vehicle all around hands down❤️
I bought exact same LC, so I'm one of the 200 as well! Swapped out the tires for Yokohama Geolander G015s, added a second battery system with redarc BCDC with solar input and battery linking solenoid, ARB dual air compressor, and an 80x49 RhinoRack. Good to go.
I guessed right !!! You always mention how much you regret trading you LC and your Fj, and when you said a deposit for a new vehicle that gave away, smart move now that Toyota is planning to discontinued in America on top that LC price keep escalating by the day so a great investment. Very happy for you man, and I hope you and your family get to enjoy the LC for years to come. Hope you get a FJ next LOL !!!
Haha you did! Thanks man, I really appreciate the positivity! 🙏🏼 💯 It feels great being behind the whee of the LC again! =] hope to break my last ownership record this time lol... 😂 I will for sure own another FJ in the coming years... love that rig, to me it is the most “toyota” Toyota.
I prefer the black heritage edition with the bronze heritage wheels or the white with the bronze wheels but black is my favorite. This doesn’t look bad but the bronze with this grey isn’t my style. But at the end of the day it’s still a land cruiser.
I hear you. Black with bronze just goes together perfectly. However, I’m honestly surprised at much I like this magnetic grey combo with the wheels and white lettering out... I also like the added “exclusivity” of the grey. 👍
Can't blame you at all. These are the last of the relatively analogue Lacs with a V8. Not everything is about Power, tech, and image. This thing is meant to Last.
I would have bought a Heritage Land Cruiser if they had that color or classic silver last year. Bought a Magnetic Gray 4runner TRD Pro instead. That color looks fantastic on the last of the 200 series! Call me when you decide to sell it! I will buy it!
People don’t understand that you sold the last one at a profit, and while you liked it, black wasn’t your favorite color. So from an enthusiastic standpoint, it makes sense. It totally makes sense to get the magnetic gray HE, considering only 100 we’re made, so it’s a unicorn and definitely will hold value and perhaps a premium over the midnight black and pearl white (1000 each made). Right now the HE is going for 10k mark up in the west coast and selling, and used ones are going for msrp. Given how often you trade cars in, it also totally makes sense from a financial standpoint. Maybe others won’t understand the madness, but I do (owned 16 cars already and lost money on most of them trading in) and it makes total sense. You only live once ! Also if you ever get tired of it hit me up haha. I wouldn’t mind a second LC.
Thanks man, I really appreciate that. I feel great to have this beast again... and for $85K, I’m surprisingly quite pleased! I’m definitely interested to see how the value shakes out over the next few years (if it were to by slim chance make it that long of course) =]
@@UntamedMotors I’ll give it 6 months tops hahaha. But having the vehicle perfect, especially at 85k, makes a big difference. It’s appearance, for example, is very important that it suits your taste. So yeah I think getting it in the color you like matters a lot.
MGM! Best Toyota color there is. Two weeks ago: “now is not the time to buy a Land Cruiser Heritage Edition” Today: “check out my new Heritage Edition!” That 4Runner is on borrowed time haha love it. Keep it up
You should get a prinsu rack and space the tires. I just seen one like that in the same color and it was sick. I knew you wasn’t getting rid of the cruiser for long. Magnetic is the best way to go. To bad they don’t come in other colors.
Heck yeah, that’s what I’m eyeballing atm. Looks sleek on the 200 here. 👌🏻 Agreed, wish there were other colors available but I’m super pleased with this mgm! =] thanks again!
@@UntamedMotors You should keep that lc for life and let it get used and broken in. I’ll be watching 👍 I’m going all in soon. I could save 40 grand and get the 4Runner but I might as well go big and never have to buy another vehicle again. It’s going to be all my dough but at least its fully paid off. I’ll pretend I never had that money . Money comes and goes but an lc lasts for life . Stay cool brother👍
@@tubeularvids you can tell the difference between this and the 4Runner immediately... from the second you open the door to be honest. A lot more heft to the LC here. I hope to keep this a long time 🤞🏼 it’s definitely the right vehicle to do so with. You’re right about money... it’s just paper at the end of the day... paper that fluctuates in worth. 🙏🏼
I got a 21 LC Midnight Black in January and your videos helped in my decision I even ended getting the same Ko2 size as you based on your recommendations. Keep up the good work 👍
@@UntamedMotors Yes I love it and it’s actually surprisingly fast and the V8 sounds real good. I came from a G65 AMG so I thought the power loss would be a downer but it’s not that bad at all.
That thing is drool worthy. Congrats on 10k. I think it's just truck fans (esp Toyota fans) that love the eye candy and your friendly spirit. And maybe trying to live vicariously through you lol
My opinion is you made a good choice getting a LC over a Ram TRX. Reliability is more appealing to me than anything the TRX offers or a Raptor even. You're gonna be cramped getting 3 kids in there but you can manage for short driving. That aside get a Sequoia or minivan for the family. I'm not a minivan advocate but I can't argue with the space and functionality they provide.
Love that color. I ended up selling my tacoma to get a cc mgm tundra. I was even thinking of wrapping my 200 classic silver to mgm . Nice to see you back in the 200 and can't wait for the content .
I’m still skeptical... historically speaking, values don’t tend to rise on $90K SUVs... though I agree it has all the right “ingredient” to do so. I’m still foreseeing a dip to $60K in the next few years, then a rise.
Thanks brother! Stoked to have it. =] my gut was telling me to get the LC the whole time... though a part of me wanted to experience something “new” in the TRX... happy I remained with Toyota! 🙌
I love that cruiser. I have an older 2009 Land Cruiser with the KO2's and love it. I dont blame you for getting another Land Cruiser. Cant believe you had 2 newer Land Cruiser. It will hold value well for long term since it is not in the USA for a while. Hopefully they come back to the states. It is not smart of Toyota to discontinue the Cruiser in the states.
Thanks man! 🙏🏼 Yeah it’s a strange move... but between emissions and low volume sales historically, they pulled the plug. Losing a strong customer base though. 🤷🏼 How many miles are on your 09 now? Any issues since ownership?
@@UntamedMotors I have 165k miles now. Purchased it in 2015 with 81k miles for 36k. Brakes, oil, filters, tires, tires sensors at about 9 yrs old, and a couple years ago I replaced the fan motor under the dash (glove box), and charged the ac once. The fan was easy to get to and only cost 120 dollars. I have had a couple issues where the dealership checked the cabin air filter and messed up the flap. They had to fix it once for free when they knocked it off track. I lock the glove box now and keep the key so they dont break it again. Your supposed to hit the recirculate button and it presents itself to you. They forced and broke the door.
I'm beginning to think you are punking us. You really own a car dealership, don't you. Every new vehicle is just the next company car. You definitely don't need the trx. The trx doesn't look like a family vehicle which you do need.
Mag grey with those wheels look good! You can always get a TRX when you need to buy a tree for the new house haha. Old video reference for the win! Congrats again 👍
I really like sequoia trd pro alot but this one has better and fancier interior. For some reason, to my eyes, this color looks 5 times better in person compare to video/photo! Congrats bro! Im super happu for you!
Honestly I can’t imagine it going up from an already high starting price... it’d be different if it was a $60K rig... but $90K... that’s steep to begin with. Idk...
Welcome back to the club. Love my 21 LC HE. Keep this one. Oh, and good luck getting sliders. It’s a mess out there. Oh, and you got a screaming deal. Every dealership is pushing full MSRP.
Appreciate it man, thank you! 🙏🏼 I never thought I’d feel good about a $4700 discount but I do. It truly was a fantastic experience. Glad to be back! As for the sliders, haha you’re right... I’ll expect to have them by Christmas lol. 😂
I'd like to see Toyota offer a Stripper edition and get the price down to 45K. Instead the price is in the sky and now they are cutting off supply. But given the limited supply and color, I recon you got yourself a sweet ride. Not sure about the wheels though. I agree no 3rd row is a better setup especially if you like camping or just hauling stuff. Wished you would have popped the hood or maybe even put this on a rack so we can see under. Enjoy!
Congrats!!! My opinion this was a great choice to go back to the LC. Honestly when I buy high value purchases, I always think of resale value. I don’t think this will go down at all. I wish I had one it would be a dream!
Congratulations on your Purchased. I wish to get the same vehicle someday even knowing that this is the last year in this market. Regarding the car seats, you have to buy Diono's Car seats. You can Fit three easy with no problems and they look amazing.
Nice man. Regardless of when you get one, it’ll likely be just as bulletproof as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. 👌🏻 you are right about the Dionos. My wife thought ahead and got these for the kiddos 👌🏻
Gorgeous. Just my opinion, but lose that basket rack. I think it break up the LC’s beautiful lines. That MGM with the bronze wheels looks amazing. Keep that thing forever. Nice choice.
If you are actually going to keep this one for more than a month and use it as a kid hauler, do yourself a favor and order a set of the Escape Gear cotton/ poly seat covers through Equipt. They really do the job and save the leather when a kid blows chow all over the back seat and the back of the front seats.
Where did you get the running boards for your 2020 Land Cruiser shown in the window tinting video about a year ago? Are going to install running boards on this new LC
I bought those from Slee Offroad… wouldn’t recommend them. I bought a set from BudBuilt this time around… excited to get them on. 👍 I’ll share vids of it when they come in.
