I have a 05 lly which is completely stock with no tunes or delete and has not had anything pulled apart since being bought from the dealership and it’s at 485,000 miles
Done the same to my LMM, only with the PPE deep pan, I ran new Mishimoto transmission lines and a new larger cooler. With the oil, replaced the pan to a deep PPE pan, replaced the filter size to the two quart CAT 1R-1807. So instead of 10 qts, it's 3 gallon at a oil change. I've purchased a transgo shift kit for my transmission but I don't trust myself and nobody wants to try, kinda stuck with trying to mod my transmission to simply better it.
I'm a Banks guy. I believe in choices on tuning issues. I'm glad that Ryan mentioned that this covers Banks stuff as well. I don't have Bank Derringer on my '18 yet. But it's coming. We tow our livestock trailer all over Texas, so this is on the to-do list. Thanks for the video.
I’ve got a 17 GMC CCSB. Stock everything. Just installed the banks ram air intake and have the Deringer, iDash and Pedalmonster waiting to be installed.
@@TruckMaster damn I never knew her white one was an LB7 till I just watched a video thought it was a LLY LBZ lol. How’s the 100 overs I’m not sure what injector size I have but it burns pretty clean with these new PPEI Kory Willis tunes unless you really get on it lol. I’m loving the tunes but I hear starlite is great. What do you personally use for tuning? I watch your video the other day with Ryans diesel service and he himself uses Kory Willis PPEI tuning so idk why these people on Facebook have so much hate for PPEI it beats me all the shitty reviews they get but I see no issues with their tunes great power whole new animal of a truck lol
I believe you put an EPC solenoid fooler in your Denali transmission right? I had one installed around the same time. How is yours acting? I am having all kinds of low speed slips and short shifts under power.
I've been watching your channel since the beginning and appreciate all the great videos... I do have a question regarding my 08 2500 LTZ with bully dog tuner, edge air intake, oil delete, edge cold air, 6" lift ect... after watching one of your how to videos I purchased and installed the "Air dog" 165 lift pump as instructed step by step and all is well BUT my MILAGE went DOWN 👇 10-12 IN Town and 14-16 hwy....What can I do to improve milage... thanks👍MCW
How does the EPC fooler work? I'm looking for the increased line pressure because rolling into the throttle 5th gear she slips without the line pressure
Did you have a noticeable high trans temp after install? My truck has always run cool trans Temps. I already uave the wehrli bypass valve in transmission cooler. Just curious? Mine usually runs 170 on a hot day. Today was 82 and a short run to town and it was 197... scared its hurting something.
All the effort on the motor ,but the camera certainly shows the rust on the chassis, have you protection on the underbody ?I know it's a never ending task but such nice trucks deserve longevity ,surely ? How does the transmission hold up to towing the big trailers ?
ive been watching your channel for about a year now and enjoying your content and finally i got into the diesel world when 2 weeks ago i got a 2017 l5p silverado im enjoying stock so far but i cant wait till i get into the high performance goodies like do
Thanks for the information!! I have the identical truck and wanted some direction on tuning mine as well. Again thanks and definitely subscribed to your channel!
Great video and great trans upgrade part from RDS! I will definitely be getting this. After any performance engine upgrades, clutch slippage is definitely always on the back of my mind especially towing heavy loads on a stock trans.
Thanks man I just had my trans rebuilt on my lml with a tune and afraid I’m going to destroy it how can I tell what tune is on it have no idea I no it’s very fast on take off can you please help
I got a cts3 insight upgraded to evolution. They don't have tcm unlock yet will this benefit with the tunes since it's not pulsar. Or is can duramax tuner tcm tuning work with it
I have a 2020 that looks just like yours. It will probably stay stock. If you want to compare trucks I am just north of DeWitt. I see you use Price Rite. I’m going there Thursday with my camper.
What do, or did, you pull with your rig? I have a 2022 High Country and I am only at 45k right now. I put that pulsar on but I think it is causing regens due to the fact that I don’t pull all the time. Maybe. Not sure. But when I see my EGT 5 sensor at 1000 degrees, I know it’s cooking.
Will this valve work for the LLM? And what spin-on filter would you recommend for Allison other than OEM?some local trans spin on filters are made in china! Right on, while the pan is dropped replacing the inside filter.
I just bought a 2024 Chevy 2500 diesel with the midnight edition. The truck has plenty of power without any changes. I have to be honest…. I don’t understand the concerns about speed and all the burnouts . If I’m looking for that…. I’ll jump in my hellcat! No wonder your worried about your transmission.
New to the channel..... I also have a 2018 Sierra 2500 l5p... thinking about doing the same sometime next year... my truck is still under warranty. its also my my daily and want to keep the longevity of my truck... I will look at your other videos. How much will it cost to do add the plug in the transmission , I am not mechanically inclined?
Does that PPE engine oil filter do what a CAT filter will?I've done the CAT oil filter adapter and use CAT filters now.Just curious as to how much filtering they do.
I got an email from truck performance parts today that was a solenoid to fit a 6.0, 6.6, and a 6.7 Ford and Chevy. Stating 12.5 lbs more boost increased fuel Economy "Everything!" Lower ETGs. For a Meer $450.00 I thought since you've re-turboed your trucks I thought you might make a call to see if there's any validation to there claims with Ryan. It also seems like a very simple install also. If you'd gain another mpg or more, it'd pay for itself in no time. You've saved me so much by watching your channel with bolt on's, maybe I can contribute back?
This is the video I was waiting for! Tried to contact you about this but since then due to too many check engine lights, things have been “simplified”.
I used to rebuild automatic transmissions way way way back when I’m talking the first time I rebuilt transmissions was for a company called Coleman Taylor in Houston Texas that was an in 1983 but anyways I noticed when you were dumping the fluid ideal I’ve seen worse for sure but you did the right thing by changing the fluid always change the fluid matter fact when I change my fluid in my vehicles the fluid is still good that means you always have good fluid in the transmission no I use Amsoil transmission fluid so I don’t have to change very often but anyway something else I want to recommend go get you an old woodstove and convert it to a waste oil burner it’s really easy to do others RU-vid videos on how to do it it’s real simple and you’ll save a huge amount of money on heat in your garage and also you’ll be able to work more comfortably so anyway you have a good day and I’m a dodge guy I’ll give you three guesses with sunroom who are my truck well let’s see I go by six and row jim You’re a good guy dude I like what you do and obviously you do nice work in a blue Dodge got off back there it’s nice truck to I guess that’s your friends vehicle anyway again you have a nice day and you’re right about not putting too many go fast parts on your work truck have a good day bye
That’s it lol god dam* Just like the pulser I put in This is why I’m not into watching. When you do a project it should make. Difference I see no difference. Looks like no change to me. My trans on the same truck I think is messed up but we all know that can’t be true. I’m just being sarcastic. Wish I could get my tcm back from Duramax tuners. They are having trouble getting one to work with my truck. Kinda sucks that my truck is the only one in the world that is fighting them when tuning, there is that sarcasm again. My 2019 never had any shifting timing problems but this 2017. Starting to turn me off from these trucks. It’s like a 50/50 shot you will get a good one. The thing is you can rebuild them all day long but as soon as you put them back in the truck with the same computer it will trash the trans like it did the last one. I will hope for the best. I’m just amazed that there are no videos on the 6 speed. It like a big secret.
Your truck seems to turnover longer than my lly Based on your experience w all the gm platforms Does the l5p take a little longer for the starter to turn over the engine? If so would a aftermarket starter be in the build plans soon? Just curious
I have an L5P and it turns over a little longer than the LML I had before it starts. Seems to be common with them, not sure why but all the guys on the L5P group im on on FB say the same thing.
I need help i have a 2007.5 lmm 3500hd single wheel 4wheel drive duramax fully deleted and built transmission and it keeps throwing a p160c code and i need help fixing it
Truck master you should never change that trans fluid it is designed to last the life of the trans. When you change that fluid is when you start having trans slipping issues. You should know this..lol
My dads 2012 1500 transmission went out over the weekend not sure if the pump went out or just normal wear has 200,000 miles on it I checked the fuild it looks dirty not a pink or red color looks dark wont move forward or reverse under its own power
